On the Tutikandi page, the tutor cards work outward from your home. Those who live in Tutikandi or list it among their travel areas come first; then tutors from Totu, Summer Hill and Boileauganj, the other pages of the zone; then the rest of Shimla; then online tutors, beginning with Himachal Pradesh. You will never see a sample profile above a real tutor.
Science in the middle years, Class 6 to Class 8, lays the ground for everything later. A tutor who uses everyday examples and simple experiments with things at home can make it come alive. Ask what the tutor would do in a typical science session, and whether they set short reading or questions between classes so ideas have time to settle.
If your child also needs help with English or Hindi, tell us whether one person should cover everything or whether you would prefer separate tutors. One familiar face suits some younger children, while older students may want a specialist for each subject. Either way, share the school timetable so lessons do not clash with heavy homework evenings. Ask, too, how each tutor would handle a week when your child is unwell.
