Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE)

Matric (Class 10); Plus Two (Class 12)

HPBOSE is headquartered at Dharamshala in Kangra district and runs the state's Matric and Plus Two examinations. Its website carries the syllabus, model papers, step-wise marking guides, competency-based question banks and OMR specimens. Plan lessons around those and the prescribed textbooks, explain in Hindi, English or both as the student prefers, and check dates against the board's notices alone.

CBSE

Classes 1–12

In Shimla, CBSE students are taught alongside HPBOSE and CISCE learners. NCERT textbooks come first, then practice on the sample papers and marking schemes CBSE itself releases. Fit the timetable to the school day and to local rush hours, such as office time towards the Secretariat or evenings at Sanjauli Chowk.

CISCE (ICSE and ISC)

ICSE (Class 10); ISC (Class 12)

ICSE in Class 10 and ISC in Class 12 cover a broad syllabus, the papers favour complete and clearly organised written answers, and English includes prescribed literature. In the apple trading season, extra trucks use the highway, so build in margin.
