New Shimla is part of the Chhota Shimla, Kasumpti & New Shimla zone, which has six pages on NXTutors. When you open this page, tutors who live in New Shimla or travel there appear before anyone else, followed by tutors from Khalini, Panthaghati and the other zone pages, then the rest of Shimla and online teachers.
Every child learns at a different pace, and a tutor should notice that quickly. In the first class, watch whether the tutor checks understanding before moving on. A tutor who talks without pausing may cover more ground, but your child may take in less of it. Ask your child afterwards whether the pace felt comfortable, and share that honest answer with the tutor before the second class, so they can adjust early.
Older students sometimes need help with planning as much as with subjects. A tutor who helps your child build a weekly timetable, break long chapters into smaller pieces and review mistakes at the end of each week is teaching a skill that lasts beyond the exam. Ask whether the tutor is willing to do this, and how they would check that the timetable is being followed.
