FAQs

How do you pick a tutor for IB Class 6 Science?

We combine curriculum familiarity (IB inquiry approach), local availability and a short skills assessment. You receive 2–3 tutor profiles and choose who you’d like to trial.

Can experiments be done safely at home?

Yes. Tutors bring low-risk experiment kits and demonstrate safe alternatives using common household items. Parents receive clear safety notes and supervision guidance.

What happens in the trial lesson?

A trial focuses on a single concept, a short practical or demonstration, and a discussion of learning goals. It’s designed to show teaching style and how the tutor engages an IB Class 6 student.

How are progress reports shared?

After every two lessons you’ll get a concise progress summary: skills worked on, evidence of understanding, and next steps. We schedule termly reviews for longer-term planning.

Can lessons be rescheduled if school activities clash?

Yes. Home sessions are flexible — tutors and parents agree on backup slots. We request 24-hour notice where possible to rearrange sessions.

Do tutors help with school projects and internal assessments?

Absolutely. Tutors support hypothesis framing, data recording, presentation and the reflective sections typical of IB projects while preserving academic integrity.
