Female tutor jobs in Surat

Some Surat families ask specifically for a woman tutor, for a daughter in her board year, for a young child, or simply because a parent feels more comfortable with one coming into the home. NXTutors is open to women tutors for home, online and hybrid work in the city, and it is equally open to men; a family's preference shapes only that family's request. If you are a woman considering tutoring in Surat, this page explains how the work can be shaped around your safety, your travel and your time.

Open tuition requests in Surat

No open requests in Surat right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.

The controls described here are real platform rules, not a pledge about any person. Everyone who joins goes through an ID check, a parent is asked to be at home for the free demo, and a safeguarding policy sets rules for both sides. Joining is free, and you can change your mode, zones and hours at any time.

Who asks for women tutors in Surat

Requests that mention a female tutor come across subjects and classes. A family with a young child in Classes 1 to 5 may want one woman tutor for all subjects in Gujarati or English medium. A parent of a teenage daughter studying GSEB HSC Science or CBSE Class 12 may want a woman tutor for physics or biology, or a woman who can coach NEET biology online several evenings a week. ICSE and ISC families sometimes ask for English literature help from a woman tutor, and IB or IGCSE families, a smaller group, often accept an online tutor from anywhere if the fit is right.

Board and medium matter as much here as anywhere. Many Surat students study under GSEB, in Gujarati, English or another medium, and a family asking for a woman tutor will still expect her to teach in the words of their child's textbook. CBSE, ICSE, ISC, the IB Diploma and Cambridge IGCSE are also followed. List the boards, classes and medium you actually teach, because a parent looking for a woman tutor for a Gujarati-medium Standard 9 student and one looking for an IGCSE specialist need different people.

Timing is often the deciding detail. Families who ask for a woman tutor sometimes also ask for an earlier evening slot, and the hours you list as free on your profile tell parents when you teach, so late slots are entirely optional. Navratri and the Diwali holidays change evening routines across Gujarat, which is a good moment to agree with each family how those weeks will run.

Where in Surat the work is

Your travel areas are your choice, and staying on one bank of the Tapi is a perfectly good plan. A tutor in Adajan or Pal can keep to the western bank and avoid the bridges at office hours, using the Sitilink corridors from Adajan Patiya and Pal RTO if she does not ride a two-wheeler. A tutor in Vesu can keep to the nearby societies of the Piplod, Vesu & Dumas Road zone and teach Katargam students online. Gaurav Path's BRTS lane makes Piplod reachable by bus, with an auto for the last stretch to the gate.

Entry norms differ by zone, and knowing them helps you feel settled. In Piplod, Vesu and Pal societies, ask the family to arrange a standing visitor entry so each visit is recorded at the gate. In Rander's older lanes and Nanpura's house streets you come to the door directly, so ask for the house number and a landmark. Smaller buildings in Udhna, Pandesara and Varachha are usually a walk-up, while newer societies in Mota Varachha and Sarthana note visitors on the first day.

What families in Surat expect

  • Choose home, online or hybrid on your profile, and change it whenever your situation changes.
  • Set travel zones you are comfortable with; staying on your own bank of the Tapi is fine.
  • List only the hours you want to teach, so families see your real availability.
  • Meet the family at the free demo, where a parent is asked to be at home.
  • Settle fees and timings with a parent, and keep lesson chat off the student's private phone.
  • Teach young children where an adult can see, and keep cameras on for online lessons.
  • If anything feels wrong, stop the classes and inform NXTutors with the word Safeguarding; ring 112 first in an emergency.

How to get picked

Build your profile so that a parent can picture you in the home. Name the subjects, classes, boards and medium, your zones and the hours you keep free. A line about how you teach, such as reading practice and homework checked together for younger children, or weekly NCERT biology tests for a NEET student, helps a family choose. You do not need to state anything personal beyond what you are comfortable with. Uploading a government photo ID lets the team review it, after which your profile can show the Verified badge.

Treat the demo as a meeting as much as a lesson. A parent is at home, so introduce yourself, ask about the child's school, board and medium, then teach a short, real piece of work. Before you leave, agree the weekly slot, where you will sit, and how the parent prefers to be contacted. If you teach online as well, offer a hybrid plan, perhaps one home lesson at the weekend and an online session midweek, which can be easier to keep around Surat traffic and the bridges.

Women tutors welcome

For women tutors: you set the terms

Women tutors are welcome on NXTutors, for home classes, online classes or both. You decide how, where and when you teach. These are the controls the product gives you, and the habits our safeguarding policy asks of tutors and families.

  • Choose home, online or hybrid teaching on your profile, and change it whenever you like.
  • List the areas you travel to: home requests come only from those areas.
  • Set your own days and timings; requests are matched to the hours you give.
  • Every match starts with a demo class, and our safeguarding policy asks the parent to be at home for it.
  • Teach where a parent or another adult is at home; in gated societies the family adds you to the gate or visitor register.
  • Keep messages with the parent or a family group, never a child's private chat.
  • Every tutor who joins goes through the same ID check. It confirms identity; it is not a police check.
  • Stop any time. If anything worries you, stop the classes and tell us on WhatsApp or through the contact page.

Read the safeguarding policy and how the ID check works.

Joining, leads and pay

Joining is free

Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.

Paid plans are optional

Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.

How leads and credits work

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.

How you get paid

You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Questions from tutors

Can a woman tutor in Surat stay on one bank of the Tapi?

Yes. You list the zones you travel to and home requests follow them, while the hours you keep free show parents when you can come. Many women tutors keep home lessons on their own bank and teach students across the river online.

Does NXTutors only take women tutors for these requests?

No. NXTutors is open to all tutors. When a family asks for a woman tutor, that preference shapes their own shortlist, and other families may have no preference at all.

Is a parent present during the first lesson?

Yes. Every family starts with a free demo, and we ask a parent to be at home. That gives you the chance to meet the family before agreeing a weekly time.

How does gate entry work in Surat societies?

In gated societies such as those in Piplod, Vesu and Pal, ask the family to set up a standing visitor entry after the demo so each visit is recorded at the gate. In older house lanes you go straight to the door, so ask for a landmark.

What should I do if something makes me uncomfortable?

Stop the classes and inform NXTutors with the word Safeguarding. In an emergency, ring 112 first. Keep fees and timings settled with a parent, and keep lesson chat off the student's private phone.

Is joining free for women tutors in Surat?

Yes. Joining is free for every tutor, you set your own fee, and paid plans are optional subscriptions. The ID check confirms identity only; it is not a police or background check.
