Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Senior physics is the subject where a student can attend every class and still not be able to start a question. In Jabalpur, a Class 11 or 12 student may be preparing for the MP Board, CBSE or ISC paper, often with JEE or NEET on top, and a coaching batch or school timetable already fills most days. What is usually missing is one person who reads the student's own working, finds the line where it goes wrong, and makes them do the next one unaided. That is what we look for in a physics home tutor here. NXTutors sends two or three physics tutors who know the target exam and can reach your locality at a workable hour. You see their fees before choosing, and the opening lesson costs nothing.
Most of the syllabus is common ground, yet every one of these papers pays marks for a different skill. Agree on the one that matters most when you first meet the tutor; the weekly problem sets are chosen from that decision.
| Exam | The physics part | Marking | What to practise |
|---|---|---|---|
| MP Board Class 12 | Set by the Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh | See the board's current syllabus and notices on mpbse.nic.in | The prescribed book, in the medium the student writes in |
| CBSE, Class 12 physics (code 042) | Theory out of 70 (all 33 questions compulsory) and practical out of 30 | Answers written out; calculators not permitted | Derivations, ray and circuit diagrams, reading a case passage |
| JEE Main, as set in 2026 | Paper 1 had 75 questions; physics took 25, five of which wanted a numerical value | Four marks gained when correct, one lost when wrong | Long problems under time pressure, with every mistake reviewed afterwards |
| JEE Advanced | Eligibility for 2026 was capped at the leading 2,50,000 candidates from JEE Main | Fixed afresh each year by the institute that organises it | Questions that join two or three ideas; past Advanced papers |
| NEET (UG), as set in 2026 | Physics was 45 of the 180 questions and 180 of the 720 marks, answered on paper | Four marks gained when correct, one lost when wrong | Exactness at NCERT level, and the discipline to leave a doubtful question |
Entrance syllabi come from the conducting body, not the school board, and can keep topics a board has removed, so read the current bulletin on nta.ac.in before dropping a chapter. Chapter priorities are in our JEE physics topic-wise plan and the high-yield NEET physics chapters; the JEE physics tutor and NEET physics tutor pages explain how we match for each.
The Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh conducts the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination at the end of Class 12, and its site shows a second examination as well as the main one. It publishes the syllabus for Classes 9 to 12 every session, together with project and practical work, on mpbse.nic.in. We do not describe the MP Board physics paper itself; that site is the place to check it.
The useful request is narrower: a tutor who teaches from the prescribed textbook, explains in Hindi or English as your child needs, keeps the practical work and project on schedule, and still builds the diagram-first habit that JEE and NEET reward if either is part of the plan.
The 2026-27 sample paper keeps the previous session's design. NCERT's fourteen chapters are grouped into four blocks for marking:
| Block | Marks | Home tutor's focus |
|---|---|---|
| Electrostatics through to alternating current (electricity and magnetism) | 33 | Nearly half the paper: field and circuit problems every week, and the standard derivations written from memory |
| Optics, together with electromagnetic waves | 18 | Ray diagrams drawn to the rules, with sign conventions checked every time |
| Dual nature of matter, atoms and nuclei | 12 | Short numericals with constants handled carefully |
| Semiconductor electronics | 7 | The trimmed chapter only: transistors and logic gates are no longer in the syllabus |
The paper's 33 questions sit in sections A to E. A opens with sixteen single-mark items (twelve multiple-choice, four assertion–reason); B has five worth two marks; C has seven worth three; D carries two four-mark case studies; E closes with three long answers of five marks. Recall alone earns only around 38% of the total. The paper prints the physical constants a student needs, and calculators stay outside the hall. For Class 12 there is a single main board exam; CBSE will post the 2027 timetable on cbse.gov.in. Derivations that keep returning are collected in our Class 12 physics strategies, and the Class 12 physics tutor page sets out a board-year plan.
The practical exam is the most predictable part of the subject, and it is easy to neglect in a coaching year. Its 30 marks divide into:
Nobody carries a vernier caliper home, but a lot of this can still be rehearsed at the kitchen table. The tutor reads each record write-up for a clear aim, a neat circuit or ray sketch and a properly ruled table of readings, asks the student to list the precautions and likely errors for each experiment aloud, and plays examiner with the viva staples: why take more than one reading, why plot a graph instead of averaging, what the gradient means.
A home tutor who re-teaches the batch's chapter wastes the student's evening. Two sessions with different jobs work better:
| Session | What happens | What it protects |
|---|---|---|
| First session | The backlog: unsolved problems from the coaching sheet, worked one at a time by the student with the tutor watching | Entrance preparation that would otherwise pile up unread |
| Second session | Board work: one derivation, one diagram-based question and one numerical written in full and marked | School-paper marks that coaching does not practise |
| After each mock test | Every lost mark sorted into concept gap, careless slip or a question that should have been left | The next week's priorities, chosen from evidence |
Our article on JEE coaching or a home tutor weighs the options, and the NEET version does the same for medical entrance.
Coaching tests produce a pile of wrong answers that nobody revisits. A mistakes notebook, kept by the student and read by the tutor, fixes that. Copy in the original question; paste or copy the attempt without tidying it; write one plain sentence on the cause, such as "took g as positive upwards" or "forgot the resistor in parallel"; then, a few days on, solve it again cold. Each redo should follow the same routine: sketch with arrows, state the law in words, substitute with units, and ask whether the answer's sign and size make physical sense.
Take the notebook, or the two most recent coaching papers, along to the free demo. Within a few pages, a capable physics tutor should be able to point to the recurring weak step, which is a better test of skill than any prepared explanation.
Senior students often get home in the evening, which pushes physics later. Whether that hour holds depends on the tutor's route. Browse tutors by locality on the Jabalpur page.
Napier Town sits beside Wright Town, Gorakhpur and Hathital, close to the main markets and offices, and many homes are in buildings of several floors, so share the building name, floor and any guard-desk routine. Civil Lines has Jabalpur Junction within it, next to Sadar and Damoh Naka. Office and station traffic peaks at the start and end of the working day, so an evening lesson there needs a margin.
Gorakhpur combines homes and a busy market, with Gorakhpur Main Road running towards Jabalpur Junction and Narmada Road heading south. Katanga, its residential neighbour, is a short hop for tutors from Napier Town or the Narmada Road side. Both get busy in the evening shopping hours; a slot that begins before them, or a weekend morning for a longer session, keeps things steady.
Madan Mahal is mostly independent houses, with its own station on the Itarsi–Jabalpur route; roads near the station are busiest when evening trains arrive. Garha is large, with NH-45 running along it and Kachhpura and Madan Mahal as the nearest stations, so say which part of Garha you live in and avoid the highway's evening rush.
When coaching runs late, switch that evening to an online hour with the same tutor rather than cancelling, so the week's plan survives.
Beginning in Class 11 is usually the cheaper choice in the long run: mechanics runs on vectors and graphs, and both return across Class 12. Read the Class 11 physics tutor page and our guide to choosing a stream.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees. The target (board paper, JEE Main, JEE Advanced or NEET), the tutor's experience with it, how late in the day the trip to your locality falls and the lessons booked each week all affect the figure, and online lessons with the same tutor can cost less. Each fee is shown before the demo, and the Jabalpur fees guide covers the questions to ask.
Send the class and board, the main goal, the coaching days, your locality and a landmark, and which evenings are open. We reply with two or three physics tutors and what each charges; you pick one for the free demo, and if that does not work out, the next demo is with someone else on the list. Changing tutor later costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check that our team reviews. If no one suitable can travel to you at that time, we propose lessons online or a home-and-online mix. The NXTutors office is in Sector 66, Gurugram, and we teach online all over India; the physics home tutor page covers other cities.
See also our chemistry and maths tutor pages for Jabalpur. Physics teachers who live in the city can find open requests on the Jabalpur tuition jobs page.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor names a personal rate, and you compare every shortlisted fee before the demo.
Yes. We look for tutors who teach from the prescribed textbook in your child's medium, Hindi or English, and keep practical and project work on schedule. The Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh publishes its syllabus each session on mpbse.nic.in, which is where the current pattern should be checked.
A different job from the batch. The home sessions clear the unsolved problems from coaching sheets, keep board derivations, diagrams and practicals on track, and turn each mock test into a list of concept gaps and careless slips. Re-teaching the same chapter would only repeat the batch.
The 70 theory marks fall into four blocks: electricity and magnetism 33, optics with electromagnetic waves 18, dual nature, atoms and nuclei 12, and semiconductor electronics 7. The paper has 33 compulsory questions in five sections, constants are given, and calculators are not allowed in the exam hall.
In the 2026 patterns, NEET (UG) had 45 physics questions out of 180, worth 180 of 720 marks, while JEE Main Paper 1 had 25 physics questions out of 75, including 5 with a numerical answer. Both gave four marks for a correct answer and deducted one for a wrong answer.
Yes, a good deal. Of the 30 practical marks, 14 come from two experiments, 5 from the record, 3 each from an activity and the project, and 5 from the viva. A tutor can check record entries, revise precautions and sources of error, and run mock viva questions.
Yes, though specialists are fewer, so name the course when you first contact us. IB physics now uses five themes with papers worth 80% and a student-designed investigation worth 20%; ISC adds practical and project work. If nobody suitable lives within reach, an online specialist is the usual answer.
Yes, with some planning. Jabalpur Junction is in Civil Lines, so office and station traffic is heaviest at the start and end of the working day. Leave a margin for evening lessons, share a gate number and landmark, or move a late session online with the same tutor.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
