Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Yes, NXTutors can arrange a home tutor in Saket, whether you live in one of the lettered blocks from A to N or in Press Enclave. Share the block letter, house or flat number, class, board and subject. Two or three matched tutors come back to you, and each tutor's fee is on the shortlist before you book anything. Your first class is free, held at home or online as you prefer; should the tutor stop suiting your child later, moving to another one costs nothing. Below is what makes Saket different for a visiting tutor: two metro stations, a busy district centre and blocks with gates.
| What | Saket |
|---|---|
| Layout | Residential blocks lettered A to N, plus Press Enclave |
| Homes | Row houses, two-storey and multi-storey apartments; builder floors make up most current listings |
| Built on | Land of the Khirki, Said-ul-Ajaib and Hauz Rani villages, developed by the DDA |
| Metro (Yellow Line) | Saket station on Mehrauli-Badarpur Road; Malviya Nagar station on Press Enclave Marg; Qutub Minar one stop south |
| Main roads | Mehrauli-Badarpur (MB) Road, Press Enclave Road, Sri Aurobindo Marg nearby |
| Neighbours | Malviya Nagar and Geetanjali Enclave (north), Pushp Vihar (east), Mehrauli (west), Sainik Farm (south) |
| Busy spots to plan around | The mall and court stretch on Press Enclave Road, especially on weekends and festival evenings |
| Boards families ask about | Mostly CBSE, with some ICSE/ISC, IB and Cambridge IGCSE |
| Modes | Home visits, online classes, or a mix of the two |
Saket is a DDA colony laid out on the old lands of Khirki, Said-ul-Ajaib and Hauz Rani. Its homes sit in lettered blocks, A through N, with Press Enclave as a separate pocket. Wikipedia describes the housing as a mix of row houses, two-storey apartments and multi-storey apartment buildings, and the colony's parks are attached to the blocks rather than gathered in one place.
Property listings tell you what most households live in today. On RealEstateIndia's Saket page, builder floors far outnumber flats and independent houses, both for sale and for rent, and the blocks most often named in listings include A, D, E and J, with Neb Sarai and Saidulajab counted as neighbouring pockets. For a tutor this usually means climbing stairs to a single floor with its own door, rather than signing in at a tower lobby.
Saket is not only homes. The district headquarters sit on MB Road, the District Court for the South and South East districts is on Press Enclave Road near Pushp Vihar, and private hospitals, including the two Max hospitals, are within the colony. Select Citywalk, DLF Avenue and MGF Metropolitan Mall line the same stretch. Families here often include parents who work close by, in the courts, hospitals and offices, as well as those who ride the Yellow Line to Gurugram or central Delhi each day.
That mix affects tuition in two ways. Working parents often want a slot after they are home, so evening demand is high. And the colony draws outside traffic to its shops and courts, so the roads a tutor uses can be busier than the quiet inner lanes suggest. The Saket Sports Complex, set up by the DDA in 1990, adds a third pattern: children with swimming, tennis or cricket practice need their tuition slot fitted around it.
We read public resident reviews on property portals and news reports about Saket's roads. These are the themes that come up, each turned into a planning point for tuition. None of it is a judgement on any block or authority.
Whatever is left over, two defaults help: the rate of every tutor is on your shortlist before the demo, and swapping to another tutor later carries no charge.
Saket is unusual in having two underground stations at its edges. Saket station stands on MB Road, in the Saidulajab area, and has three gates, with entrances on the Block D side and near the Garden of Five Senses. Wikipedia notes it is the last underground station at the southern end of the line; after it, trains rise to Qutub Minar. Malviya Nagar station is on Press Enclave Marg, with one gate opening into Geetanjali Enclave, and Saket's A Block lies just south of it.
So the rule of thumb is simple. Families in the blocks nearer Press Enclave Marg and A Block are usually closer to Malviya Nagar station. Families towards MB Road and the D Block side are usually closer to Saket station. Tell the tutor which station and which gate, because guessing wrong means a longer walk or a second e-rickshaw.
MB Road runs along the southern side towards Sainik Farm and Mehrauli, and Press Enclave Road carries the mall and court traffic. Sri Aurobindo Marg is the main road on the Malviya Nagar side. A tutor coming from Hauz Khas or Green Park often drives down Sri Aurobindo Marg; one from Mehrauli or Chhatarpur comes in along MB Road. Auto-rickshaw and taxi stands serve the colony, which helps a tutor finish a metro trip.
We look first at tutors who list Saket or neighbouring colonies as places they travel to, then at tutors elsewhere in the Saket, Malviya Nagar & Hauz Khas zone, and then further along the Yellow Line. Journey times on these roads change too much with the hour for us to print them. Ask each shortlisted tutor where they start from, whether they come by metro or by road, and which of the busy junctions they would cross.
Saket's DDA blocks are not gated towers, but many have a guard at the block entry who notes visitors. A little preparation makes the first visit smooth.
Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, explained on our how we check tutors page. The check confirms identity only and does not look into police records, so use the demo to judge the person: ask about their teaching and watch how your child responds. Prefer a woman tutor? Mention it in your Saket request and the shortlist is drawn up with that in mind; our woman home tutors in Delhi page explains how it works.
Most Saket requests are for CBSE, which is the main board in Delhi. We also hear from families on ICSE and ISC, and a smaller number on IB or Cambridge IGCSE. For a home tutor in a Saket builder floor, the board matters less for logistics than for the tutor's experience: an IB or IGCSE student usually needs a tutor who has taught that programme before, and that narrows the pool to tutors who travel further. For those families, a mix of home visits and online classes is often the practical answer.
For a CBSE child, one thing changed recently: Class 10 now has two board examinations a year, and for regular students the better of the two performances counts. If you are choosing a board or weighing a switch, read our CBSE vs ICSE vs IB vs IGCSE guide. For board-specific help in the city, see CBSE home tutors across Delhi.
At this age the tutor's job is reading, writing, number sense and steady homework habits. A short session, often an hour or less, works better than a long one. With so many children in Saket doing sport or activities after school, primary families often prefer a late-afternoon slot in the gap between school and evening practice. Look at primary home tutors in Delhi for what this kind of tutor covers.
Maths and science start to separate children who keep up from those who drift, and English writing gets more demanding. Many Saket families ask for one tutor to cover maths and science together in these years. That keeps the visits to two or three a week and avoids two tutors queuing at the block gate.
Here, most families switch to subject tutors. A maths tutor for algebra, geometry and trigonometry, and a science tutor who can handle physics, chemistry and biology chapters, is a common pairing. With the two Class 10 board exams, the year also has a clearer rhythm of revision and practice papers. Our maths home tutor page for Delhi covers what to expect.
The senior years need specialists: physics, chemistry, maths, biology, accountancy or economics, each with its own tutor. Fewer tutors teach these well, so a Saket family may find the right person lives further along the Yellow Line. Because the line runs through Saket, that is often still workable. Some families keep one weekly home visit and add an online session for problem practice.
For JEE or NEET, the tutor's depth matters more than distance. Expect fewer home options and more online ones, and ask how the tutor plans topic tests alongside school work.
CBSE's 2026 Class 10 calendar ran the main papers between 17 February and 11 March, with the second sitting on 15–21 May. Senior school exams fall in the same late-winter weeks. That puts revision season in December and January, when Delhi's evenings are cold and foggy and festive traffic around the Saket malls peaks. Book extra sessions early, and plan for a few weekend classes to move online. IB and Cambridge students follow their own sessions, set by ibo.org and cambridgeinternational.org, so check the dates on those sites rather than on forwarded messages.
Saket has all three options close at hand, so the choice comes down to your child.
Many Saket families combine them: a home tutor for the core subject and online sessions for practice or a niche subject. The free demo is the easiest way to test whether a tutor suits your child in any mode.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
In Saket, as everywhere on NXTutors, the rate belongs to the tutor, and it appears beside their name on your shortlist. What moves it: the class and board (senior classes and international boards cost more), the subject's depth, the tutor's experience, how many sessions a week you book, and how far the tutor travels. A tutor coming from across the city to a Saket block may ask more than one who lives two colonies away. Online sessions save the travel, so some tutors price them differently. Agree the fee, the number of weekly sessions and how missed classes are handled before regular lessons begin.
We could not find a public library inside Saket from a reliable source, so this list is short. The Garden of Five Senses, about 20 acres in Saidul Ajaib just off MB Road and run by the Delhi tourism corporation, is a calm place for a walk between revision blocks. It opens 9 am to 7 pm in summer and 9 am to 6 pm in winter. The Saket Sports Complex is where many children in the colony play, which makes it a natural break between study sessions. At home, a fixed table away from the street side of the house helps more than any outing.

Saket gives its name to the Saket, Malviya Nagar & Hauz Khas zone, and this page is one of twelve in it. Whichever subject your child needs, NXTutors will put two or three suitable tutors in front of you, matched to your child's year, syllabus and the days that work at home.
Ask yourself first what kind of help your child needs. A Class 5 student who is losing confidence needs patience and short, regular lessons. For a Class 10 student with board exams ahead, you may want someone who can set timed practice. A Class 11 student starting Physics or Chemistry may need a specialist, and that can be an online tutor if the home tutor you like teaches other subjects. Writing this down in your request helps us suggest the right people.
The page shows Saket tutors first: those who live here or travel here. Then come Sheikh Sarai, Malviya Nagar and the other zone pages, wider Delhi after that, home tutors based in Greater Noida or Ghaziabad, and online options last. Sample profiles always sit below real ones. The first class is a free demo, so you lose nothing by trying.
