Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

A Bhavnagar student aiming for engineering usually carries three exams at once in Standard 12: the Gujarat board's HSC Science papers, GUJCET, which the same board conducts, and JEE Main, run by the National Testing Agency. Each one rewards a slightly different habit. A home tutor earns a place in that week by joining the three into one plan, so the board answer, the state test and the national paper all get the practice they need without the family paying for three separate courses. This page sets out how that works in Bhavnagar, from choosing the slot to choosing between a tutor at your table and one on a screen. The national JEE home tutor page goes deeper into the exam itself.
The National Testing Agency runs JEE (Main). Going by its 2026 bulletin, Paper 1 sat on a computer and covered maths, physics and chemistry with 25 questions apiece: 20 with options to choose from and 5 where the answer is a number. Seventy-five questions, 300 marks in all, with plus four for a correct response and minus one for a wrong one in both parts. There were two sessions, the higher of the two scores counted, and 13 paper languages were on offer. For students who clear Main under the brochure's rules, JEE (Advanced) followed; the 2026 edition had two compulsory papers, came in English and Hindi, and allowed no more than two attempts, in consecutive years.
Any of this may be revised. Before a Bhavnagar family builds a year around it, open the latest documents on jeemain.nta.nic.in and jeeadv.ac.in; a summary on any site, ours included, is only a starting point.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board runs the HSC Science exam and also conducts GUJCET. In 2026 its website carried the GUJCET registration, the hall ticket and, after the test, a page to apply for an OMR copy. The same site handled the HSC Science exam of February–March 2026, including a separate hall ticket for the practical exam, and afterwards it took applications for marks verification, viewing of answer books and OMR copies. In short, a GSEB science student deals with written answers, practical work and machine-marked sheets, all in one year. We do not describe the GUJCET paper here; read the current notice on gseb.org.
Splitting this across separate classes tends to leave gaps where nobody is responsible. A single tutor, or two tutors who talk to each other, can keep one list of chapters, mark each as done for the board, done for objective practice, or both, and make sure the practical file is not forgotten. Our Gujarat board tutor in Bhavnagar page covers the board side in more depth.
A coaching batch moves at the speed of the room. A home tutor moves at the speed of one student, and that is the whole point. In practice the work falls into four jobs:
| Task | Student with a coaching batch | Student with school and a tutor only |
|---|---|---|
| Order of chapters | Set by the batch | Agreed with the tutor from the official syllabus and the school's order |
| Problems left halfway | The tutor, every week | The tutor, every week |
| Timed papers | Batch tests, reviewed with the tutor | Past NTA papers, set and checked by the tutor |
| GSEB written answers and practicals | The tutor keeps watch | The tutor and the school together |
| GUJCET notices | The family, from gseb.org | The family, from gseb.org |
If you are still deciding whether a batch is needed at all, our coaching or home tutor guide sets out the choice; it uses a different city as its example, and the reasoning carries over.
The slot that looks free in June often disappears by October. Write the school timetable, any coaching timetable and the practical days next to each other, and look for the gap that never moves. These are the slots Bhavnagar families tend to keep:
| Slot | Use it for | Local note |
|---|---|---|
| Soon after school on a weekday | A home session in the weak subject | The tutor reaches central areas before the evening roads fill |
| Saturday or Sunday morning | A full timed paper, reviewed the same day | Suits edge areas where the tutor rides in from further away |
| Late evening | A short online doubt check | Nobody has to cross the city after dark |
| Practical and test weeks | Review only | Keeps tutor work from clashing with school |
On the city's edges, fewer and longer visits often hold up better than short daily ones, because the tutor's ride is longer. The Sardarnagar and Tarsamiya and Chitra and Nari Road zone pages say more about timing on those sides of Bhavnagar.
For school-side help in a single subject, our Bhavnagar maths, physics and chemistry pages go further.
Bhavnagar is compact enough that most tutors can reach most homes, yet one based on your own side of town stays with you more easily through a long Standard 12 year. The details you send make the first visit easy.
| Locality | Where tutors often come from | What to send before the demo |
|---|---|---|
| Krishnanagar | The central belt or the Ghogha Circle side | Street, house number and a corner landmark; either spelling, Krishnanagar or Krushnanagar |
| Ghogha Circle | Krishnanagar, Akwada or the centre | Which road off the circle, the building and the floor |
| Tarsamiya | Sardarnagar or Bharatnagar | A map pin, the spelling your family uses and Sardarnagar as a reference |
| Adhewada | Sardarnagar or the Kaliyabid side | The nearest junction on the highway towards Mahuva and a pin |
| Chitra | Fulsar, Kumbharwada or Nari Road | Whether you are on the industrial side or in a residential society, plus the society name |
| Nari Road | Chitra or Kumbharwada | How far along the road you live, near the city end or near Nari Chowkdi |
The Krishnanagar and Ghogha Circle zone page describes the eastern side, every locality is listed on the Bhavnagar home tutors page, and our Bhavnagar home tuition guide walks through each zone.
| Subject | Usual format | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Physics | At home | Most errors happen while setting up the problem, and the tutor needs to watch that moment |
| Mathematics | At home, with paper reviews online | Long working on paper; a finished test is easy to go through on a shared screen |
| Chemistry | Online for recall; at home if physical chemistry numericals are weak | Short, frequent checks suit a screen well |
For the harder entrance problems, a specialist teaching online from Ahmedabad or another city can be a better fit than whoever lives nearest. If physics or maths moves online, ask for a camera on the notebook or a writing tablet, so the tutor sees every line. Our online tuition in Bhavnagar page and the home or online tutor comparison explain how to set this up.
The step up from Standard 10 is sharp in mechanics, early calculus and mole calculations. Start a notebook of mistakes in the first month and keep adding to it. Chapters skipped now come back in Standard 12, when there is far less time to repair them.
New chapters, revision of Standard 11, the practical exam, GUJCET and JEE Main all compete for the same months. Ask the tutor to mark on a calendar, early in the year, which weeks belong to board writing and practicals, and to leave the last stretch before the board papers for written revision.
Start by going through last year's attempt question by question to see where marks went, then rebuild those chapters. Daytime sessions open up a wider choice of tutors. Check the eligibility rules in the current bulletin and brochure before you commit.
Subject detail is on our JEE physics tutor page, and the NEET home tutor in Bhavnagar page covers the medical route.
Not convinced after the demo? Ask for another tutor; changing later costs nothing as well. Our checklist for demo classes has further questions.

Yes, one tutor can join HSC Science, GUJCET and JEE Main into a single chapter plan, and that is often wiser than three separate classes. GSEB conducts both the HSC and GUJCET, while the National Testing Agency runs JEE Main. The tutor marks each chapter as done for board writing, objective practice or both, and keeps the practical file on track.
In the 2026 NTA bulletin, JEE Main Paper 1 was a computer-based test with 25 questions each in maths, physics and chemistry. Twenty were multiple-choice and five needed a numerical answer, making 75 questions and 300 marks, with four marks for a right answer and minus one for a wrong one. Check the current bulletin before planning.
Yes, a Bhavnagar tutor can bridge Gujarati-medium science to English-language JEE practice with a steady list of paired technical terms. The 2026 bulletin offered JEE Main in 13 languages, so first check whether your preferred paper language is on the current list. Whatever you choose, practise in that language from the start.
For a Bhavnagar JEE student, a weekday slot soon after school and a weekend morning for a full timed paper tend to last all year. Late evenings suit a short online doubt check. Write the school, coaching and practical timetables side by side, and keep new chapters out of test and practical weeks.
JEE tutors usually reach Tarsamiya from Sardarnagar or Bharatnagar, Adhewada from Sardarnagar or the Kaliyabid side, and Nari Road from Chitra or Kumbharwada. Send a map pin, your spelling of the locality, the nearest junction or how far along the road you live. On these edges, fewer and longer visits often hold up better.
For many Bhavnagar students, JEE physics works better at home and chemistry recall works well online. Physics errors usually start while setting up a problem, which the tutor needs to watch, and long maths working is easier on paper beside the student. If physics moves online, use a notebook camera or a writing tablet.
Your child should bring three problems they could not finish, plus the latest test paper, to the first JEE demo. Watch whether the tutor finds where each attempt went wrong and lets your child complete it. Ask how negative marking, HSC written answers and GUJCET will fit into the plan, and whether the weekly slot is fixed.
A second JEE attempt can be planned well with a home tutor if it starts from last year's paper, question by question. The tutor rebuilds the chapters where marks were lost and adds full timed papers. Daytime sessions widen the choice of tutors. Check the eligibility rules in the current NTA bulletin and the JEE Advanced brochure first.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
