Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Chandigarh
When a tricity family writes 'lady tutor preferred' on a request, the reasons are usually ordinary: a daughter in Class 11 who is more at ease with a woman teacher, a young child at home with a grandparent in the afternoon, or simply a family habit. NXTutors lets families state that preference, and women tutors are matched to those requests as well as to every other request their subjects fit.
No open requests in Chandigarh right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.
This page answers the questions women tutors ask before joining in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula: what kind of families ask, how to choose sectors and hours that feel comfortable, what entry looks like in houses, housing-board flats and gated societies, and which controls apply to everyone. Men teach on NXTutors too; this page simply focuses on what women tutors want to know.
Requests mentioning a woman tutor span all ages and boards. Secondary and senior students on CBSE, ICSE, ISC and the Punjab and Haryana state boards ask for maths, science, English and commerce. Parents of children in Classes 1 to 5 often prefer a woman tutor for daily homework help. If you teach in more than one language, list each one, since families state the language they want.
The subject expectations are the same as for any tutor: know the board, plan the month, test regularly and keep the timetable. The difference is in the first meeting, where trust matters most, which is why every new arrangement begins with a free demo held while a parent is at home.
Online requests add flexibility. Families in Aerocity or outer Zirakpur who prefer a woman tutor may not find one nearby, and are often glad to learn online, which lets a tutor teach from her own home at hours she sets, for students in the tricity and elsewhere.
Timing preferences also shape these requests. Some families may want lessons in the late morning or early afternoon, while a younger child is home from school and before older siblings return, a window that suits tutors who have their own family commitments in the evening. If those daytime hours work for you, saying so on your profile can bring requests that others cannot take.
You decide the map. A tutor living in Sector 15 Panchkula might keep to Sectors 8, 15 and Mansa Devi Complex in Panchkula & Zirakpur; one in Sector 44 to the neighbouring southern sectors in Chandigarh Sectors 31–56 & Manimajra; one in Phase 5 to the older phases of Mohali. Chandigarh Sectors 1–30 is compact around Sector 17 and its bus terminal, which suits a tutor who travels by bus and auto.
Entry differs with housing. Plotted sectors are doorstep visits. The cooperative societies of Sector 49, the complexes of Phase 10 and Sector 70, Panchkula Sector 20 and most of Zirakpur keep a guard and visitor register, which also records each visit. During Navratra, crowds around Mansa Devi Complex make an earlier or online lesson sensible. Leave out any crossing, such as Housing Board Chowk late in the evening, that you would rather avoid.
Build your profile like any strong tutor's: subjects, boards, classes and a line on your method. Then set your boundaries in it: the sectors you visit, the hours you teach, and online if you want it. Tutors who join go through an ID check: a one-time code on your phone or email and a government photo ID that our team reviews; the Verified badge appears only after that review. It is an identity check, not a police or background check, and /how-we-verify-tutors explains the steps.
At the demo, meet the parent first and agree the practical points: which room, who will be at home, how to contact the parent. Then teach an ordinary lesson on the student's current chapter. If anything about a request or visit concerns you, stop, leave if needed, and report it to NXTutors marked Safeguarding; if anyone is in danger, call 112 first. The safeguarding policy binds families and tutors equally.
Women tutors welcome
Women tutors are welcome on NXTutors, for home classes, online classes or both. You decide how, where and when you teach. These are the controls the product gives you, and the habits our safeguarding policy asks of tutors and families.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Some do, for daughters in senior classes, young children at home in the afternoon, or simple preference. Women tutors can take those and any other requests matching their subjects; NXTutors is open to tutors of every gender.
Yes. List only the sectors or phases near you; home requests follow that list. You can add online students from anywhere.
A parent or guardian. We ask every family to have an adult present for the first lesson, so you see the household, meet the person you will deal with on fees and timing, and decide calmly whether the arrangement suits you.
In Sector 49, Phase 10, Sector 70, Panchkula Sector 20 and most of Zirakpur, a guard registers visitors. Ask the family to give your name in advance, and check visitor parking.
Stop and leave if needed, then report it to NXTutors with Safeguarding in the subject. In an emergency, call 112 first.
