Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Chandigarh
Half of NEET UG is biology, and that single fact explains most biology tuition requests in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. A student who wants to study medicine needs to know the NCERT biology books for Classes 11 and 12 in close detail, diagrams included, and many families decide early in Class 11 that a dedicated biology tutor is worth having alongside coaching.
No open biology requests in Chandigarh right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.
The rest of the demand is board biology, for CBSE, ISC and the two state boards, and Class 9-10 students whose biology chapters are pulling science marks down. This page explains both, shows how the tricity's four zones fit a biology tutor's week, and sets out how to stand out at the free demo. See the live list for open requests.
For NEET students, the request is usually specific: a tutor who will go through NCERT chapters systematically, test recall every week and train careful reading of questions. Students often have coaching in the afternoon, so biology tutoring fills evenings and weekends. Families appreciate a tutor who tracks which chapters are secure and which need another round, rather than one who simply moves on.
Board biology has its own demands. ISC biology, common across the tricity, expects long, organised answers, labelled diagrams and practical work. CBSE biology answers should match the marking scheme, which the sample papers on cbseacademic.nic.in illustrate. Students under the Punjab School Education Board in Mohali and Zirakpur, or the Board of School Education Haryana in Panchkula, need teaching from their own board's prescribed books and past papers.
Younger students ask too. ICSE Class 9 and 10 students sit a separate biology paper, so some families want a biology tutor from Class 9, while CBSE students usually want help with life processes, heredity and the human body within the science paper.
Timing follows coaching and the school year. Many NEET students in the tricity start biology support in the April to June window, when the CBSE session has just begun and coaching batches are forming, and ask for more hours from October, when the syllabus must be finished and revision begins. Pre-board exams in many schools fall around the new year. The ISC and state board calendars run separately, so check them on each board's own site.
Biology students are spread through every zone. In Chandigarh Sectors 1–30, a tutor from within the first-phase grid can reach Sectors 8 to 27 quickly by scooter, and families in builder floors will tell you which bell to ring. In Chandigarh Sectors 31–56 & Manimajra, the Sector 43 bus terminal next to Sector 44 helps tutors coming from Mohali, Zirakpur or Panchkula by bus.
Mohali's older phases are mostly independent houses, an easy doorstep visit, while Aerocity, a newer township of plotted houses near the airport, has fewer tutors living inside it so far. In Panchkula & Zirakpur, Sector 20 and most of Zirakpur are gated societies with a one-time gate registration. Biology diagrams and recall tests work well online, which helps students whose coaching runs late.
State plainly whether you teach NEET biology, board biology or both, and for which boards and classes. A one-line description of your routine helps: chapter, recall test, diagram, mixed questions. Add the sectors and phases you reach and your free evenings, and switch on online lessons. Tricity NEET families often look across town lines for the right biology teacher.
Open the demo with five quick questions on a chapter the student has finished; it shows the parent where recall slips. Teach one section, have the student draw its key diagram from memory, and propose a weekly plan. Avoid any promise about marks or ranks; families respond better to a tutor who measures progress honestly from the first hour.
Keep a simple chapter tracker shared with the parent: green for secure, amber for shaky, red for not yet revised. It turns a vast NCERT syllabus into something a family can follow, and it shows, week by week, that the hours are working.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
A large share is, from Class 11 and 12 students preparing for NEET UG. Board-only biology for CBSE, ISC and the state boards, and Class 9-10 help, are also common.
Yes. CBSE papers rest on them and NEET biology draws heavily on the Class 11 and 12 NCERT content. Knowing the diagrams and the exact wording helps students most.
Yes. ISC biology students are found across the tricity. Read the regulations and specimen papers on cisce.org, including practical and project requirements, before listing ISC.
Some Mohali, Zirakpur and Panchkula students study under those boards. Teach from the board's prescribed book and past papers, and check the syllabus each year on the board's official website.
Usually evenings after coaching and weekend mornings. Online sessions on weekdays with a weekend home visit is a common pattern when the student lives across a town line.
It helps. Families move between schools across the tricity, and a student may switch from a Punjab board school in Mohali to a CBSE or ISC school in Chandigarh, or the other way round. A tutor who can explain how the same topic, say human physiology, is asked differently in each paper is useful through that change.
