IB and IGCSE tutor jobs in Faridabad

Faridabad's IB and IGCSE students are a smaller group than its CBSE, ICSE or HBSE students, and they are spread across the map: a family in Charmwood Village near Surajkund, another in a Sector 17 villa, a third in a Sector 77 township across the canal. For them, finding a tutor who knows the exact course, its tier and its mark scheme, and who can also reach the house, is the hard part. A tutor who can do both, or who teaches the course well online, fills a real gap.

Who asks for ib and igcse tutors in Faridabad

Cambridge IGCSE requests usually arrive for Classes 9 and 10. IGCSE rewards technique: reading command words, choosing the Core or Extended tier, and practising against mark schemes. Maths and the sciences are the most common subjects, with English as a First or Second Language next. In the sciences, ask whether the school uses the practical test or the alternative to practical. Pearson Edexcel International GCSE comes up less often; list it separately if you teach it.

IB Diploma requests come for Classes 11 and 12. Internal assessment counts alongside the final papers, and maths comes as Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, at SL or HL, so 'IB Maths' always needs clarifying before the demo. Sciences include an individual investigation, and the Extended Essay sits alongside. You may guide an IA, question it and comment on drafts, but never write it.

Many of these families combine one home visit a week with online sessions, a pattern that suits students in Surajkund or Greater Faridabad, where a long weekly drive is hard to sustain. The May exam series sets the year's rhythm, with intensive past-paper work in the months before it. Syllabuses and guides are on cambridgeinternational.org, ibo.org and Pearson's site.

Where in Faridabad the work is

Home visits work most easily along the Violet Line: Central Sectors (Mathura Road), with stations from Badkhal Mor to Escorts Mujesar and villas on the green roads of Sector 17, and Sectors 28–31 & 37 near the Delhi border, which a tutor from south Delhi can reach by train. Surajkund & Sainik Colony, including Charmwood Village near the border, is nearer Badarpur Border and Tughlakabad on the Delhi side.

Across the canal, Greater Faridabad (Sectors 75–80) and Greater Faridabad (Sectors 81–89) have no metro, so IB and IGCSE students there usually study online with a specialist, sometimes with a home visit from a tutor living in Neharpar. A reliable online setup is part of this job in Faridabad. For weekday visits in the central sectors, start after school but clear of the evening peak on Mathura Road and the Badkhal flyover.

What families in Faridabad expect

  • Faridabad parents on these boards will ask which syllabus code, tier or level you teach; have the answer on your profile.
  • Lessons spend real time on how answers are marked, not only on content.
  • A past-paper routine that starts early in the year and tightens before May.
  • A written note, at the start, on what help you give with IA, Extended Essay or coursework and what you never do.
  • Online sessions that show every line of working, using a tablet or shared board.
  • Brief written reports in English after each mock or school assessment.
  • Respect for school deadlines, with drafts planned well ahead.

How to get picked

Specificity is everything with these families. A line such as 'IGCSE Maths Extended and IGCSE Physics (Cambridge); IB Maths AA SL and HL' is what a Charmwood or Sector 17 parent is looking for. Add one factual line on your background, such as international-school teaching or having studied these courses yourself. Then be clear about mode: home visits along the Violet Line, online for Neharpar and Surajkund, or both.

Make the demo about marks. Take one answer from the student's latest school assessment, read it against the official scheme with them, and point to the exact places marks slipped. Ask them to rewrite it, and compare. Then set out the months until the May series and, for IA students, how you will review drafts. See how you get paid before agreeing a weekly pattern.

Joining, leads and pay

Joining is free

Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.

Paid plans are optional

Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.

How leads and credits work

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.

How you get paid

You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Questions from tutors

How common are IB and IGCSE students in Faridabad?

We do not publish counts. They are a smaller group than CBSE, ICSE or HBSE students, and they are spread out, so hybrid and online arrangements are common.

Which parts of Faridabad can I serve at home for these boards?

Along the Violet Line, Central Sectors (Mathura Road) and Sectors 28–31 & 37 are the simplest. For Surajkund, Charmwood and Neharpar, plan a vehicle or teach online with occasional visits.

Is Charmwood Village easier to reach from Delhi?

Often, yes. Badarpur Border and Tughlakabad on the Delhi side are nearer than the Faridabad stations. Ask the family to register you at the guarded gate before the first visit.

Where is the line on IA and Extended Essay help?

You may help a student choose a workable question, explain methods and comment on drafts. You may not write any part of it. Explain this to the parent at the demo.

Do families ask for Edexcel International GCSE?

Less often than Cambridge, but it does come up. If you teach it, list it separately with subjects and tiers so the match is exact.

Which months are busiest?

The months before the May series, when past-paper practice intensifies. Use only the IB, Cambridge and Pearson sites for dates.

Can a CBSE or ISC tutor move into IGCSE teaching?

Yes, after studying the syllabus, specimen papers and mark schemes closely. Take on only the subjects and tiers you have prepared, and say exactly which.

Is joining free for IB and IGCSE tutors?

Yes. Joining is free, the Free plan includes monthly lead credits, and paid plans are optional. You set your own fee.
