Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Bhopal's commerce students usually carry three subjects at once: Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies. Of the three, accountancy is usually the hardest, because it begins from nothing in Class 11 and every chapter after that leans on the first few months. The board adds another layer. A Hindi-medium MP Board student, a CBSE student choosing between two Class 12 options and an ISC student facing 12-mark questions need different tutors. NXTutors matches board, class and medium first, then your sector or colony and the route in. This guide by the NXTutors Academic Team covers Bhopal; the full syllabus is on our national accountancy home tutor page.
| Board | Paper in brief | Detail a tutor must know |
|---|---|---|
| MP Board | The board's own Class 11–12 commerce syllabus, books and question paper | Hindi or English medium, and the prescribed book |
| CBSE Accountancy 055 | 80 theory marks plus 20 project marks in each class; question design about 40/30/30 across recall, application and analysis | Class 12 Financial Statement Analysis or Computerised Accounting |
| ISC Accounts 858 | Three-hour, 80-mark paper with compulsory short answers and 12-mark questions; two 10-mark projects | Class 12 Section B or Section C |
| ISC Commerce 857 | Descriptive companion subject: business, trade, finance, management and marketing | Whether it needs support too |
| Cambridge | IGCSE 0452 untiered, two papers; AS & A Level 9706 with a cost and management accounting paper | Experience of costing at A Level |
| IB Diploma | No separate accounting course; Business Management is the usual home of accounting topics | The exact IB course and unit |
Madhya Pradesh's own board, the Board of Secondary Education, sets the state's Class 10 and 12 examinations, and many Bhopal students sit them in Hindi or English medium. Our description of its commerce stream stays general: the syllabus, the prescribed books and the question paper are the board's own, and the up-to-date scheme is published on the board's website, which is where a tutor should check it. Ask whether the tutor has taught that exact book and drilled recent MP Board papers, and whether they explain account titles, narrations and theory in the language your child answers in. If a later switch to English medium is planned, say so, and the tutor can introduce English terms alongside without muddling board answers.
Bank reconciliation sits inside the accounting process unit, which carries 44 of the 80 theory marks in CBSE Class 11, and it confuses students because the same item looks opposite from the bank's side. Suppose the cash book shows a bank balance of ₹15,000. Cheques of ₹3,000 have been issued but not yet presented; cheques of ₹2,000 deposited have not yet been credited; and the bank has charged ₹200 that is not yet in the cash book. Starting from the cash book: add the ₹3,000 (the bank has not paid it yet), subtract the ₹2,000 (the bank has not received it yet), and subtract the ₹200 (the bank has already taken it). The pass book should show ₹15,800.
The reasoning in brackets is what a tutor drills: for every item, ask "has the bank recorded this yet, and in which direction?" Once that question is automatic, overdraft versions of the same problem stop being frightening.
CBSE Class 12 makes partnership firms (36 marks) and company accounts (24) compulsory, then offers a choice for the final 20 theory marks: Financial Statement Analysis (analysis of statements 12, cash flow statement 8) or Computerised Accounting, which swaps the project for practical work. ISC offers a matching choice between Section B and Section C. Ask the school which it teaches before choosing a tutor. The CBSE project, an analysis of a company's statements with a 12-mark file and an 8-mark viva, must be the student's own; a tutor teaches the tools and rehearses the viva.
The NTA's CUET (UG) 2026 bulletin lists Accountancy / Book Keeping (code 301) among the domain subjects: 50 compulsory questions in 60 minutes on NCERT's Class 12 syllabus. A new bulletin appears each cycle, so check the current one. Objective practice works best layered on secure board preparation.
CBSE makes Computerised Accounting compulsory for every commerce student in Class 11 and optional in Class 12, where it replaces Financial Statement Analysis and the project with practical work. ISC's equivalent, Section C, covers spreadsheets and database management. A student taking either option needs a tutor who is comfortable at a keyboard as well as with a ledger, and sessions often work better online, with both people in the same spreadsheet, than at a dining table.
Business Studies (CBSE 054) is the third member of the commerce trio, a written paper of 80 marks with a 20-mark project. Its chapters on shares, debentures and sources of finance meet the same instruments that accountancy students record as journal entries. One tutor can cover both, but only if they are strong in both; for a student struggling mainly with accounts, a specialist is usually the better spend.
The Orange Line's priority section has carried passengers since 21 December 2025; its northern part and the Blue Line are not yet open, so most home visits are by road.
| Zone | Route | Practical tip |
|---|---|---|
| Arera Colony, Shahpura & Kolar Road | Link roads; no metro or rail stop on Kolar Road | Sector number in Arera Colony; gate registration on Kolar Road |
| MP Nagar, TT Nagar & Shivaji Nagar | Orange Line to MP Nagar or Board Office Square, then auto or on foot | Block and quarter number for government housing |
| Hoshangabad Road, Misrod & Katara Hills | By road; the old bus corridor has been removed | Visitor app or gate list before the demo |
| BHEL, Awadhpuri & Ayodhya Bypass | By road; Alkapuri station is near Saket Nagar | Plant shift times and bypass widening |
| Old City, Lalghati & Bairagarh | Two-wheeler or car; northern stations planned, not open | A landmark where the lane narrows |
Arera Colony runs in sectors E-1 to E-8; in the older sectors the tutor comes straight to the door, with Bittan Market as a landmark. MP Nagar is the office district, with flats on its residential streets and an Orange Line station; parking is tight.
Kolar Road is a long corridor of plotted colonies and newer gated projects. Misrod, on the NH-46 stretch, is mostly townships and apartments; put the tutor on the gate list and share the tower and flat number.
Our south and central Bhopal tuition guide and BHEL and old Bhopal guide describe these areas further.
Accountancy is written in columns, and a tutor beside the student spots a wrong-side posting as it happens, so home lessons suit Class 11 and long partnership questions. Online works with a clear view of the notebook and homework photos sent ahead, and it is often the better format for Computerised Accounting or ISC Section C. Any Bhopal family can request an accountancy tutor; we do not promise one in your colony, and online widens the choice to tutors across India. For homes along Hoshangabad Road or Kolar Road, where public transport thins out, a mix of home and online keeps lessons regular.
Not the right fit? Tell us and the next tutor on your shortlist takes a demo; a change later costs nothing either. Anyone joining NXTutors as a tutor first passes an ID check.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets a rate and you see it before the demo; the Bhopal home tuition fees guide explains what affects it.
Tell us the class, board and medium, the Class 12 option if known, the chapters causing trouble, your sector or colony, free times, home or online, and a budget. We return two or three profiles, and you choose one for the free demo class. Browse by locality on our Bhopal page; accountancy teachers can find open requests on Bhopal tuition jobs.
Economics sits beside accountancy on most commerce timetables: see our economics tutors in Bhopal. Also useful are CBSE tutors in Bhopal, ICSE and ISC tutors in Bhopal, English tutors in Bhopal for Business Studies writing, and maths tutors in Bhopal. Not yet chosen a stream? Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Every tutor sets their own rate, which you see before booking the free demo.
Yes, you can request one. Tell us the class and that the school teaches in Hindi. We look for a tutor who has taught from the MP Board prescribed book, practises its past papers, and explains account names, narrations and theory in the Hindi terms your child writes in the exam.
Because each item looks opposite from the bank's side. A cheque issued but not presented has reduced the cash book but not the bank balance. A tutor trains one question for every item, "has the bank recorded this yet, and which way?", until the adjustments become routine, including overdraft versions.
In CBSE, after compulsory partnership and company accounts, students take either Financial Statement Analysis or Computerised Accounting for the last 20 theory marks. ISC students choose between Section B and Section C. Each option needs different tutor strengths, so find out which one the school teaches first.
Families anywhere in Bhopal can request one. We match board, class and medium, then look for a tutor who can reach your sector or colony at your time. Kolar Road has no metro or rail stop, so a mix of home and online lessons is sometimes the steadier choice there.
Yes, if the notebook is clearly visible on a stand or tablet and homework photos arrive before each lesson. For Computerised Accounting or ISC Section C, online is often better than a visit, because tutor and student can work in one spreadsheet. Class 11 basics usually benefit from some home lessons.
Usually, once the board chapters are secure. The NTA's CUET (UG) 2026 bulletin lists Accountancy / Book Keeping as a domain subject with 50 compulsory questions in 60 minutes, based on NCERT's Class 12 syllabus. The tutor adds timed objective practice. Check the bulletin for the year your child applies.
