Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Physics is often the subject where a Class 11 student in Bareilly first feels out of depth. The chapters are longer, the numericals need algebra and diagrams at once, and many students are also preparing for JEE or NEET, which test the same ideas in a different way. What helps most is an adult who reads the student's own working, finds the step where it went wrong and makes sure that step is fixed for good. NXTutors puts forward two or three physics tutors who know your child's board and target exam and can reach your locality at a sensible hour. Fees are shown on the shortlist, and the first lesson with the tutor you choose is a free demo.
The chapters overlap, yet each paper pays for something different, so decide which one leads this term.
| Paper | Shape | Scoring | Weekly focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP Board Intermediate | Two-part written paper of 70, practical of 30 | Pass 23 in theory and 10 in practical, separately | Complete written answers and an up-to-date lab file |
| CBSE Class 12 (042) | 70-mark theory paper, 33 questions, all compulsory; practical 30 | Written; calculators not allowed | Derivations, labelled figures, case studies |
| JEE Main (2026 pattern) | 25 physics questions, 5 of them numerical-answer | Four marks gained, one lost for a wrong attempt | Longer problems, each error reviewed |
| NEET (UG) (2026 pattern) | 45 physics questions of 180; pen and paper | Same +4 and −1 rule | Speed with NCERT-level accuracy |
Entrance syllabi are set by NTA, not the board, and can keep topics a board has trimmed; check the bulletin on nta.ac.in before dropping anything. Our JEE physics topic-wise plan, the NEET physics chapters worth extra time, and the JEE and NEET tutor pages for Bareilly help set priorities.
Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, which has a regional office in Bareilly, conducts the Intermediate examination at the end of Class 12. Its physics syllabus gives 70 marks to the written paper and 30 to the practical, and the theory is split into two equal parts of 35. The model paper is set in Hindi and laid out in five sections. Here is how the two halves are built:
| Part | Unit (marks) | Tutoring note |
|---|---|---|
| Part A (35) | Electrostatics 8; magnetic effect of current and magnetism 8; electromagnetic induction and alternating current 8; current electricity 7; electromagnetic waves 4 | Field lines and directions drawn on every figure; phasor sketches beside the AC algebra |
| Part B (35) | Optics 13; atoms and nuclei 8; electronic devices 8; dual nature of radiation and matter 6 | Ray diagrams with sign conventions until both are automatic; short numericals in modern physics |
Optics is the single largest unit, and the four electricity and magnetism units in Part A add up to 31, so most of the year's practice should sit there. A Hindi-medium student should write with the technical terms used in the prescribed book. Our UP Board tutors in Bareilly page covers the other Intermediate subjects.
Class 11 follows the same pattern of a 70-mark paper in two parts of 35, plus a 30-mark practical. Part A is mostly mechanics: kinematics 6, laws of motion 7, work, energy and power 7, rigid bodies and systems of particles 7, gravitation 7, and a single mark for the physical world and measurement. Part B covers the properties of bulk matter 10, thermodynamics 9, kinetic theory of gases 6, and oscillations and waves 10.
This is the year to start with a tutor if you can. Vectors, graphs and free-body diagrams from Class 11 mechanics return in almost every Class 12 chapter and in every entrance test, and a gap left here is much harder to close later. See our Class 11 physics tutor page and the stream choice guide.
For 2026-27, CBSE groups the fourteen NCERT chapters into four blocks. The electricity and magnetism chapters, electrostatics to alternating current, take 33 marks; optics and electromagnetic waves 18; dual nature, atoms and nuclei 12; and semiconductors 7. Transistors and logic gates have left the course, so older guidebooks that still teach them need care.
Section A has sixteen one-mark items (twelve multiple-choice, four assertion–reason). B has five questions of two marks, C seven of three, D two case studies of four, and E three long answers of five. Recall accounts for about 38% of the marks. Constants are supplied and calculators are not permitted. The Class 12 physics strategies and the Class 12 physics tutor page go further.
UP Board's practical has a pass mark of its own, 10 out of 30, so a neglected file can sink an otherwise good result. CBSE splits its 30 as follows: 14 for two experiments, 5 for the record, 3 for an activity, 3 for the investigatory project and 5 for the viva, and the record needs at least eight experiments and six activities drawn from both sections. A tutor cannot bring the apparatus home, but can read each record entry, ask about sources of error and precautions, and run a quick mock viva on why readings are repeated or what a graph's slope means.
The home hour should do what a batch of many students cannot. In practice that means three things:
Read our comparison of coaching and a home tutor for JEE, and the same for NEET, and keep the home slot clear of batch timings.
Every solution should follow the same order: a figure with directions or axes; one sentence naming the law in use; numbers substituted with their units; and a final glance at whether the sign and size make sense. When a tutor asks for this on every problem, careless losses shrink within a term. Alongside it, keep a mistakes notebook in which each wrong question is copied, the error is described in a line, and the problem is solved afresh a few days later. Bring that notebook, or two recent tests, to the free demo and see whether the tutor spots the pattern before teaching anything.
Senior students usually come home late from school or coaching, so physics lessons slide into the evening. Whether that slot holds depends on the tutor's route. Find tutors by locality on our Bareilly page.
| Locality | Setting | Address detail | Tip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rampur Garden | A residential colony north-east of Civil Lines, among many government offices | House number, lane and a park or corner shop | An early-morning hour before school can suit test weeks |
| Bareilly Cantonment | Set up in 1811 and now surrounded by the city; entry can involve checks | Gate to use, identity to carry, quarter number and block | Keep an online fallback for days when routines change |
| Gulab Nagar | On the Nainital Road side, between the central lanes and the northern colonies | The lane off Nainital Road and the nearest crossing | Tutors from either side of the city can usually reach it |
| Prem Nagar | A residential area in the west, near Zakhira and Baqarganj | House number, lane and a nearby shop | Keep the same slot each week so the routine holds |
| Karamchari Nagar | A colony of family homes near Delapeer and Izatnagar | House number, block and the closest known shop | A tutor from the northern side saves the evening trip |
| Izatnagar | A railway town with large railway colonies; Izzatnagar station is on Nainital Road | Colony, road number and quarter number | Online lessons help when a parent's shift pattern changes |
If coaching runs late, move that evening online with the same tutor. The Izatnagar and CB Ganj zone page has more local advice.
ISC physics combines a theory paper with practical work and a project, and examiners want fuller reasoning than a single line, so confirm the tutor works from your exam year's syllabus. The IB Diploma course is organised in five themes; papers give 80% of the grade and an independent investigation the other 20%, as our IB physics SL and HL guide explains. Cambridge IGCSE is taken at Core or Extended, and a student switching to an Indian board for Class 11 will need time on vectors and graphs. Few local teachers handle these courses, so online specialists often fill the gap.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees. When comparing, ask which paper each tutor has taught recently (UP Board, CBSE, JEE Main, JEE Advanced or NEET), how late they can come, and whether some sessions can move online. Every fee is visible before the demo; the Bareilly home tuition fees guide has more.
Send the class, the board, the main goal (board paper, JEE or NEET), your coaching days, your locality with a landmark and the free evenings. We reply with two or three physics tutors and their fees, and you invite one to a free demo. If the first is not right, a second demo follows, and a later change of tutor is free. Where no one suitable can come at your hour, we suggest online or mixed lessons. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). In results season, remember that UP Board says it never contacts candidates individually: never give a roll number or bank details to such a caller, and report fraud on the cyber helpline, 1930. Physics teachers in Bareilly can see open requests on the Bareilly tuition jobs page.
UP Board Class 12 physics is marked out of 70 for the written paper and 30 for the practical. A Bareilly student must score at least 23 in theory and 10 in the practical. The written paper has two parts of 35 marks each, and the model paper is set in Hindi in five sections.
Optics carries the most marks in UP Board Class 12 physics, with 13 of the 70. Electrostatics, magnetism and electromagnetic induction with AC bring 8 each, and current electricity 7, so electricity and magnetism together make up 31 marks. A Bareilly tutor should spend most of the year's practice on optics and those Part A units.
Class 11 is the right start because its mechanics returns in nearly every later chapter and entrance test. On UP Board, Class 11 Part A covers kinematics, laws of motion, work and energy, rigid bodies and gravitation. Vectors, graphs and free-body diagrams learned well now save a great deal of repair work in the Class 12 board year.
CBSE has removed transistors and logic gates from Class 12 semiconductor electronics, which is now worth 7 marks. Notes that still teach them are out of date for the board paper. A Bareilly student should check the current curriculum on cbseacademic.nic.in, and confirm separately what the JEE or NEET syllabus on nta.ac.in still includes.
A home tutor can prepare much of the physics practical by checking the record, precautions and viva answers. In CBSE, two experiments bring 14 marks, the record 5, an activity 3, the project 3 and the viva 5. On UP Board the practical is worth 30 with its own pass mark, so the file should never fall behind.
Yes, a home physics tutor works well alongside coaching when the session does not repeat the lecture. The tutor clears problems the student skipped, keeps board answers and the practical file up to date, and sorts every lost test mark by cause. Fix the home slot so it never clashes with the coaching timetable.
A Bareilly Cantonment family should tell the tutor which gate to use and what identity to carry, because entry to parts of the cantonment can involve checks. Give the quarter number and block as well. If the household routine shifts, an online session with the same tutor keeps the physics plan on track that week.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. After a Bareilly family sends the class, board, goal, coaching days and locality, NXTutors suggests two or three physics tutors with fees. You pick one for a free demo. If the first tutor does not suit, a second demo follows, and changing tutor later in the year is free as well.
