Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Bareilly has a particular link with the state board. the UP Board (Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh) opened one of its first regional offices here in 1981, and that office still serves families across a group of districts in the west of the state. This page starts there, with what the office does and when a family needs it. It then reads two of the board's own 2026-27 files closely: the High School maths syllabus, where 30 marks are earned in school through tests and projects, and the Intermediate economics syllabus, unit by unit. It ends with Intermediate maths in brief, how tutors reach six colonies in the north and east of the city, what to ask at the demo, and how to start. We took every board fact on this page from the board's own site, upmsp.edu.in.
An act of the United Provinces Legislative Council created the board at Prayagraj in 1921, and its first examination followed in 1923. It has always followed a 10+2 pattern: the High School examination at the end of Class 10 and the Intermediate examination at the end of Class 12. The head office is still in Prayagraj. On upmsp.edu.in the board publishes a syllabus file for each subject and class, along with model papers and question banks, and those files, not a forwarded summary, are what a family or tutor should trust.
As the board's work grew, it set up regional offices under regional secretaries: Meerut in 1973, Varanasi in 1978, Bareilly in 1981 and Prayagraj in 1987. The board's contact page places the Bareilly regional office in Civil Lines and lists the districts it serves.
| Question | What the board's page says |
|---|---|
| Which districts? | Moradabad, Amroha, Bijnor, Rampur, Sambhal, Bareilly, Budaun, Shahjahanpur and Pilibhit |
| What for? | Queries on examinations, results, duplicate certificates or marksheets, migration, verification and scrutiny |
| Which years? | Examinations from 1986 onward; for these districts' records from 1923 to 1985, the head office in Prayagraj |
| School-level matters? | The same page lists a District Inspector of Schools for each district |
A tutor plays no part in any of this. It matters to families for paperwork after a result, such as a correction, a duplicate marksheet or a migration certificate when a child changes board or state. Use the official contact details on the board's page, and treat any offer of help with marks from outside the board as a warning sign. Families in the nearby districts can also start from our Moradabad home tutors page.
The board's 2026-27 Class 10 maths file sets a 70-mark written examination plus 30 internal marks awarded by the school. A student needs at least 23 in the written paper and 10 in the internal part, 33 in all. The written paper has seven units.
| Unit | Main content | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Number systems | Fundamental theorem of arithmetic; proving root 2, 3 and 5 irrational | 5 |
| Algebra | Polynomials and their zeroes; pairs of linear equations; quadratic equations; arithmetic progressions | 18 |
| Coordinate geometry | Graphs of linear equations; distance and section formulae | 5 |
| Geometry | Similar triangles; tangents to a circle | 10 |
| Trigonometry | Ratios, identities, heights and distances | 12 |
| Mensuration | Areas of sectors and segments; surface area and volume of combined solids | 10 |
| Statistics and probability | Mean, median and mode of grouped data; classical probability | 10 |
Algebra and trigonometry together carry 30 of the 70 written marks. A student weak in factorising and simple equations will struggle in both, which is why a tutor should test those skills first.
The file is precise about how far some topics go. Quadratic equations are limited to real roots. Heights and distances questions should involve no more than two right triangles, with angles of elevation or depression of only 30, 45 or 60 degrees. Mensuration's mixed questions combine two different solids, not more. These limits are useful. A tutor who drills harder versions from other books can leave a child anxious and short of practice on what the paper actually asks. Better to master every question type inside the limits, write each solution in full, and only then stretch a strong student further.
| Part | When | What it contains | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| First internal assessment | August | A project and an oral quiz | 5 + 5 |
| Second internal assessment | December | A project and the record of the practice book | 5 + 5 |
| Third internal assessment | Across the year | Four unit tests, their total converted to 10 | 10 |
The four unit tests are each worth 20 before conversion: a multiple-choice test in the second week of July (10 of its marks come from summer holiday homework), a descriptive test at the end of August, another multiple-choice test at the end of November and a descriptive one at the end of December. So in High School maths every unit test, the holiday homework and even the neatness of the practice book feed the final result. A tutor should know this calendar and prepare for these small checkpoints as seriously as for the board paper.
Each student prepares one project from a list of eleven and one compulsory project from the board's booklet on India's traditional mathematical knowledge, Bharat ka Paramparagat Ganit Gyan, choosing one of its three parts: India's mathematical tradition, traditional methods of calculation, or the country's great mathematicians. Teachers may also set projects of their own.
A tutor's job is to help the student choose a project that can actually be finished, plan the stages, and check the mathematics, while leaving the making and writing to the student. Teachers notice when a project is not the child's own work.
Economics has its own Intermediate syllabus file, and it suits a look of its own because it mixes graphs, short numericals and definitions. The board's Class 12 file sets it as a question paper only, worth 100, in two halves of 50.
| Part | Unit | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| A: introductory microeconomics | Introduction: central problems, production possibility and opportunity cost | 4 |
| Consumer equilibrium and demand: utility, indifference curves, budget line, price elasticity | 18 | |
| Producer behaviour and supply: product, cost and revenue, producer's equilibrium, elasticity of supply | 18 | |
| Forms of market and price under perfect competition, with simple applications | 10 | |
| B: introductory macroeconomics | National income: circular flow; product, income and expenditure methods | 12 |
| Money and banking: credit creation; the central bank, with the RBI as the example; CRR, SLR, repo and reverse repo | 8 | |
| Determination of income and employment | 14 | |
| Government budget: receipts, expenditure, revenue, fiscal and primary deficits | 8 | |
| Balance of payments: the account, fixed and flexible exchange rates | 8 |
Consumer and producer theory together carry 36 marks, more than a third of the paper, and both lean on diagrams. In the macro half, income and employment is the largest unit, with national income close behind.
Our national economics tutor page has more on the subject, and commerce students can also read the accountancy tutor page.
The Class 12 maths file is also a single 100-mark paper. Calculus is worth 44, vectors and three-dimensional geometry 18, algebra 15, relations and functions 10, probability 8 and linear programming 5. Unlike High School, the four unit tests in this file are not counted in the result. A student who keeps calculus strong all year has secured almost half the paper; our maths home tutors in Bareilly page goes further.
The syllabus files are written in Hindi. Maths appears as ganit, calculus as kalan and integration as samakalan; economics is arthshastra, with its halves called sukshm (micro) and vrihat (macro). A Hindi-medium student reads these naturally. An English-medium student, or one switching between the two, needs a tutor who pairs each Hindi term with its English one, so that no syllabus line or model question is misread. When you write to us, name the medium of the exam, and we match tutors who teach in it.
Other state-board subjects have their own Bareilly pages: science, physics, chemistry, biology and English. Intermediate science students with an entrance exam ahead should look at JEE home tutors in Bareilly and NEET home tutors in Bareilly. If a change of board is on the table, read about CBSE or ICSE and ISC tutors in Bareilly. Registration and eligibility are explained on UP Board tutors in Lucknow, and UP Board tutors in Meerut looks at English and computer. Picking an Intermediate group after High School? | Locality | For the tutor | Share in advance |
|---|---|---|
| CB Ganj | Northern belt; older working colonies and newer homes side by side | Colony, road and a landmark known from the city side |
| Deen Dayal Puram | On the Izatnagar side, beside Ekta Nagar and Patel Nagar Road | The short name DD Puram as well, with block and house number |
| Rajendra Nagar | Near the Mini Bypass and Karamchari Nagar | Block, house number and a park or crossing |
| Harunagla | East side, through Harunagla Road | A shop sign or gate visible from Harunagla Road |
| Suresh Sharma Nagar | Pilibhit Bypass Road side, near Dohra Road | A crossing on the bypass; building and floor for a flat |
| Mahanagar Colony | Along Pilibhit Bypass Road, beside Veer Savarkar Nagar | The nearest colony entrance from the bypass, then the lane |
The eastern colonies lie well away from the old centre, and fewer tutors may live close by, so a home tutor for maths with an online tutor for economics or another specialist subject is a sensible mix there. See the Izatnagar and CB Ganj, Rajendra Nagar and DD Puram and Pilibhit Bypass and Bisalpur Road zone guides, the Bareilly page, our Bareilly home tuition guide and online tutors for Bareilly. Elsewhere in the state, we also have Lucknow and Meerut pages.

The UP Board regional office in Bareilly, set up in 1981, handles queries on exams, results, duplicate certificates or marksheets, migration, verification and scrutiny. It serves nine districts, including Bareilly, Moradabad, Budaun and Pilibhit. Records from 1923 to 1985 sit with the head office in Prayagraj.
For a Bareilly student, UP Board High School maths has a 70-mark written paper and 30 internal marks at school in 2026-27. At least 23 written and 10 internal are needed, 33 in all. Algebra brings 18 written marks and trigonometry 12.
Yes, unit tests and projects both count in UP Board Class 10 maths for a Bareilly student. The four unit tests become 10 internal marks, and two projects, an oral quiz and the practice-book record bring the other 20. A tutor should plan for each checkpoint, not only the paper.
A Bareilly Class 10 student does two UP Board maths projects: one from a list of eleven and one compulsory. List options include verifying the Pythagoras theorem, a population statistics study or a sextant. The compulsory one comes from the board booklet on India's traditional mathematical knowledge.
A Bareilly tutor should stay inside the limits because the UP Board file sets them precisely. Quadratics need real roots only, heights and distances use at most two right triangles at 30, 45 or 60 degrees, and mixed solids combine just two shapes. Master these first.
For Bareilly students, UP Board Class 12 economics is one 100-mark paper split equally between microeconomics and macroeconomics. Consumer equilibrium and demand, and producer behaviour and supply, carry 18 each. Income and employment brings 14, and national income 12, in the 2026-27 file.
A tutor should teach UP Board economics to a Bareilly student through diagrams drawn from memory, short numericals done often and exact definitions. The file names the percentage method for elasticity and three methods of national income. Follow the board order, micro before macro.
Yes, a UP Board tutor in Bareilly can teach in the medium your child writes the exam in and give both terms side by side. The board files are in Hindi, so calculus appears as kalan and economics as arthshastra. Tell us the medium when you send a request.
