Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

By Class 11, physics is the subject where a hard-working Gwalior student can follow every lecture and still drop marks. The theory makes sense in class; the trouble starts alone with a problem, a free-body diagram and a sign convention. Some students carry a board paper only, MP Board, CBSE or ISC; many add JEE or NEET, often with a coaching batch in the evenings. A home physics tutor earns the fee by sitting with the student's own working and finding the exact step that fails. NXTutors suggests two or three physics tutors who know your child's target exam and can reach your part of the city at a workable hour. Their fees are shown first, and the opening demo is free.
The syllabus overlaps a great deal, but the marking does not. Decide the main target with the tutor in the first week, because it settles what gets practised.
| Exam | Physics in it | How it is marked | Weekly practice |
|---|---|---|---|
| MP Board Class 12 (HSSC) | Syllabus, marking scheme and practical work posted each session by MPBSE | Read the current scheme on mpbse.nic.in | The prescribed book, worked in the language your child writes in |
| CBSE Class 12 | A 70-mark theory paper of 33 compulsory questions, plus 30 for practicals | Written answers, constants supplied, no calculator | Derivations, labelled diagrams, case-based reading |
| JEE Main (2026 pattern) | 25 questions, five of them numerical-answer | Plus four if right, minus one if wrong | Timed multi-step sets, then an error review |
| JEE Advanced | Open in 2026 only to the first 2,50,000 candidates on the JEE Main merit list | Fixed afresh each year by the organising institute | Problems that join several ideas; earlier Advanced papers |
| NEET (UG), 2026 | 45 of the 180 questions, worth 180 of the 720 marks, on paper | Plus four if right, minus one if wrong | NCERT-level accuracy and fewer blind guesses |
Entrance syllabi come from the conducting body, not from your school board, and can keep topics a board has dropped, so check the latest bulletin on nta.ac.in before striking anything off. Our JEE physics plan by topic and the note on high-yield NEET physics chapters help with priorities; the JEE physics tutor and NEET physics tutor pages explain how we match for each.
When a test comes back, a good tutor does not just count the score. Every lost mark goes into one of three piles, and each pile has its own cure.
| Kind of loss | What it looks like | The tutor's remedy |
|---|---|---|
| A concept gap | The student cannot say which law applies, or applies it to the wrong body | Back to the idea with a simpler case, then three graded problems on it |
| A setting-up error | Directions missing from the diagram, a wrong sign convention, a unit lost midway | A fixed routine: sketch, name the law in words, substitute with units, sanity-check the answer |
| A judgement error | Time sunk into one long question, or a guess where a wrong answer costs a mark | Timed sets with a rule for when to move on or leave a question blank |
Keep one notebook for these. Each entry holds the question, the first attempt left as it was, a line naming the pile it belongs to, and a clean solution written a few days later without help. Bring that notebook, or the last two coaching tests, to the free demo; a capable tutor will find the weak step before teaching anything new.
Not for hearing the same lecture twice. A batch runs at the speed of the room, and the tutor's hour is for the things a room cannot do: going through the sheet problems your child skipped or copied without following, keeping the school paper's derivations and diagrams alive in a week built around entrance questions, and turning each mock result into next week's plan. One or two focused sessions a week usually cover it. Fix the slot so it never collides with batch timings. We compare coaching and a home tutor for JEE in one article, and do the same for NEET preparation in another.
For 2026-27 the sample paper repeats the previous design. NCERT's fourteen chapters are marked in four groups, and the order of size tells a tutor where the year's effort belongs:
The paper is lettered A to E with 33 questions. Section A asks sixteen one-mark items, twelve multiple-choice and four assertion–reason; B has five two-mark answers; C has seven three-mark answers; D has two case studies at four; and E has three long answers at five. Only about 38% of the marks reward recall, so practice must go beyond memorised text. There is a single main board exam in Class 12, and CBSE has yet to give 2027 dates. Our Class 12 physics strategies collect the derivations that recur, and the Class 12 physics tutor page sets out a board-year plan.
Much of them, yes, and they are the most predictable marks in the subject. Two experiments, one from each section, bring 7 marks apiece; the record brings 5; an activity and the investigatory project bring 3 each; and the viva brings 5. The record needs at least eight experiments, four per section, and at least six activities, three per section, together with the project report.
The apparatus stays in the school lab, but a tutor at your dining table can check each record entry for aim, circuit or ray diagram, observation table and result; go over precautions and sources of error; and run a short mock viva with questions such as why several readings are averaged or what the slope of a graph stands for.
MPBSE conducts the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination at the end of Class 12, with a second examination alongside the main one, and posts the physics syllabus, marking scheme and practical work for the session on mpbse.nic.in. We give no pattern for its paper here; the board's own pages are the reference. The practical request is a tutor who works from the prescribed book, explains in Hindi or English as your child needs, and still drills the diagram-first method that JEE and NEET reward if either is in the plan.
On timing: mechanics in Class 11 rests on vectors and graphs that come back throughout Class 12, so help that starts in Class 11 is usually cheaper than a rescue in the board year. See the Class 11 physics tutor page and our guide to choosing a stream in Class 11.
Senior students often get home late, which pushes physics into the evening, so the tutor's route at that hour decides whether a slot holds. Every locality is on our Gwalior tuition page.
City Centre gives its name to a tehsil of the district and holds offices, showrooms and banks, with Gwalior Junction on Racecourse Road and the inter-state bus stand close by, which helps a tutor who travels in by train. Mahalgaon, beside it near New Collectorate Road and Sirol Road, mixes plots, flats, builder floors and family houses. Residents there mention transport as a weak point, so a tutor who depends on autos may prefer a time outside the evening peak.
Alkapuri is largely ready-to-move apartment buildings, many with three-bedroom flats, so expect gate registration: pass the tutor's name to security before the first visit. Darpan Colony, within Thatipur, is the opposite case, mostly independent houses with no society gate, where a house number and landmark are enough. Both see heavier traffic on the main roads in the evening, so agree a slightly earlier start.
Kampoo, also written Kampu, and Madhav Ganj are neighbouring Lashkar localities where homes, shops and offices share the roads. Residents rate parking as a weak point, so a tutor coming by car should ask where to stop; most arrive by two-wheeler or auto. Madhav Ganj sits near the start of Shivpuri Link Road, so tutors from the colonies along that road are worth a look too.
When a coaching test overruns, move that evening's lesson online with the same tutor rather than cancelling it.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own rates. The target exam and the tutor's record with it, how late in the evening the journey falls and how many sessions you book all play a part, and an online lesson with the same person can cost less. You see every fee before the demo; the Gwalior tuition fees article covers what to ask.
Send the class, board and main target (school paper, JEE or NEET), the coaching days if any, your locality with a landmark, and the evenings that are free. We return two or three physics tutors with their fees, and you choose whom to watch teach at the free demo. A poor fit leads to a second demo, and changing tutor later is free. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how we check tutors). When nobody suitable can come at your hour, we suggest online or part-online lessons. NXTutors is based in Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online across India; the national physics home tutor page describes how we match.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Gwalior physics tutors set their own rates, shaped by the target exam and their record with it, how late the evening journey falls, and how many sessions you book. An online lesson with the same tutor can cost less, and every fee appears before the demo.
For a physics tutor shortlist in Gwalior, send the class, board, target exam, coaching days, locality with a landmark and free evenings. We return two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
A home physics tutor adds what a Gwalior coaching batch cannot: time on skipped sheet problems, mock reviews and board derivations. Each mock's lost marks get sorted into concept gaps, setting-up errors and judgement errors. One or two focused sessions a week, never clashing with batch timings, usually cover it.
For Gwalior students in CBSE Class 12 physics, electricity and magnetism carry 33 of the 70 theory marks. Optics with electromagnetic waves carries 18, dual nature with atoms and nuclei 12, and semiconductor electronics 7. The paper has 33 compulsory questions in five sections, and only about 38% of marks reward recall.
For Gwalior candidates, physics was 25 questions in JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 and 45 of 180 in NEET (UG) 2026. Five JEE items needed a numerical answer, and NEET physics was worth 180 of 720 marks. Both exams gave four marks for a right answer and took one off for a wrong one, so check the latest bulletin on nta.ac.in.
Yes, a Gwalior physics tutor can teach an MP Board Class 12 student in Hindi or English, working from the prescribed book. MPBSE posts the physics syllabus, marking scheme and practical work each session on mpbse.nic.in, so read the paper details there. If JEE or NEET is also planned, the tutor keeps the diagram-first method going.
A Gwalior tutor can prepare the CBSE Class 12 physics record and viva at home, checking each entry and rehearsing likely questions. Aim, diagram, observation table and result all get checked, and viva practice covers averaging and graph slopes. The record needs at least eight experiments and six activities plus the project. Two experiments bring 7 marks each, the viva 5.
A physics tutor can reach an Alkapuri flat in Gwalior for an evening class once security has the tutor's name. Share the tower and flat number before the first visit. Most Alkapuri homes are apartment buildings, and main roads get heavy in the evening, so agree a slightly earlier start.
A Gwalior physics student does well with home lessons when problems keep going wrong at the setting-up stage, because the tutor sees each line. Online suits narrow specialists such as ISC, IB or IGCSE, and late evenings. When a coaching test overruns, move that lesson online with the same tutor instead of cancelling.
Class 11 is usually a good time for a Gwalior student to begin physics tuition, because mechanics rests on vectors and graphs that return throughout Class 12. Help that starts then is generally cheaper than a rescue in the board year. IGCSE students moving to an Indian board often need extra vector and graph work.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
