Maths tutor jobs in Jaipur

Maths is the subject Jaipur parents are least willing to leave to chance, and it is also the one where a tutor's method shows fastest. A Class 9 student in Vidhyadhar Nagar who loses marks on every proof, a Class 10 RBSE student in Pratap Nagar who can follow a worked example but freezes on a fresh sum, a Class 12 student in Jagatpura juggling calculus with an entrance target: each of these turns into a request, and each needs a different kind of maths teacher. This page sets out what that work looks like in Jaipur so you can decide which part of it you want.

Open tuition requests in Jaipur for maths

No open maths requests in Jaipur right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.

NXTutors does not post maths vacancies. A family sends one request with the class, board, medium, colony and free hours, and we put forward two or three tutors whose profiles fit. You decide the classes you take, the colonies you will travel to, whether you also teach online and the fee you charge; the family sees that fee before the free demo. The sections below cover where maths requests come from, which parts of the city are practical to reach, and how maths tutors get chosen here.

Who asks for maths tutors in Jaipur

Four systems sit side by side in Jaipur: RBSE, CBSE, CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and a smaller IB and Cambridge IGCSE group. For maths the first two overlap more than many tutors expect, because RBSE prescribes the NCERT textbooks in maths. A tutor fluent in the NCERT chapters can teach both, but the papers are not the same: an RBSE Class 10 paper carries 80 marks with 20 sessional marks from school, and where a printed textbook syllabus differs from the board website, the website counts. Check rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in before you plan a term, and cbseacademic.nic.in for CBSE sample papers and marking schemes.

The medium decides more than the book. An RBSE student in a Hindi-medium school learns fractions, equations and trigonometry under their Hindi names, and a tutor who explains only in English terms can make the homework harder rather than easier. Bilingual maths teachers, who can move between the Hindi and English name of each idea and set out steps the way the school expects, suit many families from Jhotwara to Sanganer. Say plainly on your profile which medium you teach in, and do not claim one you are not comfortable in.

Class by class, the pressure points are familiar. Classes 6 to 8 bring integers, fractions, ratio and the first letters standing for numbers, and gaps here resurface later. Class 9 is the jump: polynomials, coordinate geometry, Euclid-style reasoning and the first proper proofs. Class 10 adds quadratic equations, arithmetic progressions, trigonometry and its applications, and the board paper. Classes 11 and 12 turn abstract with functions, limits, calculus, vectors, three-dimensional geometry and probability, and here CBSE, ISC and RBSE students alike often carry a JEE target. IB families ask for Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation tutors, usually online, since that group is smaller in Jaipur.

Where in Jaipur the work is

Home maths lessons in Jaipur are shaped by the corridors. Vaishali Nagar & West Jaipur and Mansarovar & Sanganer sit on or near the Pink Line, with stations at Mansarovar, New Aatish Market, Vivek Vihar, Shyam Nagar, Ram Nagar and Civil Lines, so a tutor who rides the metro can reach Nirman Nagar, Shyam Nagar or Sodala and finish by auto. Vaishali Nagar and Chitrakoot have no station, and Chitrakoot addresses need the sector. Mansarovar's housing board blocks are usually doorstep visits; ask for the scheme as well as the flat number, since similar addresses repeat.

Further east and north the scooter takes over. Raja Park, Jawahar Nagar & Bapu Nagar has no metro station but rarely a gate desk, so a maths tutor who lives in one of its six localities can usually reach the rest. C-Scheme, Bani Park & Vidhyadhar Nagar has Pink Line stops only at its southern edge, and Vidhyadhar Nagar runs on sector numbers. In Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura & Tonk Road, gated complexes register you with tower and flat, and crossing Tonk Road at peak hour is slow, so list only the side you can reach on time every week.

What families in Jaipur expect

  • Command of the NCERT maths books from Class 6 to 12, since both CBSE and RBSE build on them, plus the current board syllabus from the official website.
  • For RBSE students, the ability to teach in Hindi, English or both, using the terms the school uses.
  • Written, step-by-step working in every lesson, because method marks are lost or kept on the page.
  • A plan for RBSE's 20 sessional marks as well as the 80-mark paper: school tests and assignments count, not only the final exam.
  • For Classes 11 and 12, comfort with calculus, vectors and probability, and a clear view of how board maths and JEE maths differ.
  • Timed practice from winter onwards, with sample or past papers marked against the official scheme.
  • Lessons that fit around school and, for senior students, around a coaching timetable that often fills the evening.

How to get picked

On your profile, be precise. 'Maths, Classes 9 to 12, CBSE and RBSE (Hindi and English medium), ISC on request' tells a Jaipur parent far more than 'all boards'. Add the colonies you reach: Shyam Nagar and Sodala if you ride the Pink Line, Bajaj Nagar and Tilak Nagar if you live east of C-Scheme. Mark free hours honestly; a slot after coaching suits many Gopalpura-side families whose children come home late.

Treat the demo as a real lesson. Ask the student to solve one problem from this week's chapter before you teach anything, and watch where the working breaks: a sign error, a skipped step, a formula remembered but not understood. Teach that point, set two similar questions, and finish with a four-week outline. Parents compare two or three tutors; the one who names the actual weak spot and shows a route to the board paper is the one they call back. See how you get paid further down this page.

Joining, leads and pay

Joining is free

Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.

Paid plans are optional

Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.

How leads and credits work

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.

How you get paid

You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Questions from tutors

Do I need to know both CBSE and RBSE maths to get Jaipur requests?

No, but it widens the field. RBSE prescribes NCERT maths textbooks, so chapter content overlaps a great deal with CBSE. The differences lie in the paper, the marking and the medium. List only boards you have taught, and read the RBSE syllabus on rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in before you claim it.

Can I teach maths only in Hindi medium?

Yes. Say so on your profile. RBSE families name the medium in the request, and a tutor who explains each step in the words the school uses is often preferred over one who translates as they go.

Is senior maths in Jaipur mostly JEE preparation?

Not always. Many Class 11 and 12 students attend coaching for JEE and want a tutor for the board side: calculus written out fully, NCERT exercises and sample papers. Others want help with coaching sheets. Say which you offer.

Which parts of Jaipur are easiest for a maths tutor without a car?

Homes along the Pink Line, from Mansarovar through Shyam Nagar and Sodala to Civil Lines, can be reached by metro plus an auto. Raja Park, Jawahar Nagar and Bapu Nagar sit close together, so a tutor living there can cover several by scooter.

Can I teach IB or IGCSE maths to Jaipur students online?

Yes. Jaipur's IB and IGCSE group is smaller, so online lessons widen your reach. State the course and level, such as IB Analysis and Approaches HL or Cambridge IGCSE Extended, and work from the official guides on ibo.org and cambridgeinternational.org.

Who sets my maths fee?

You do. Families see it on your profile before booking the free demo, and it can differ by class or mode if you set it that way.
