Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Jaipur
Primary tuition is the most local work a Jaipur tutor can take. Families with children in Classes 1 to 5 usually want someone close by, at the dining table, once or twice a week or more, and they want the same person for most subjects: reading, maths, English, Hindi and environmental studies. Our guide for Jaipur parents describes these early years as being about habits: reading with understanding, quick mental sums, the first fractions and neat written work.
No open primary (class 1–5) requests in Jaipur right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.
On NXTutors, those families send a request with class, board, colony and free hours, and we suggest two or three tutors whose profiles fit; the parent sees your fee and books a free demo. You choose the classes, your colonies, whether you teach online, and your fee. Below is what Jaipur primary families look for, where nearness matters most, and how a primary tutor wins a parent's trust.
At this age the board matters less than the child. CBSE, RBSE, ICSE and the smaller IB and IGCSE schools all teach reading, number and the world around the child, though each school paces it differently. RBSE prescribes NCERT textbooks in subjects such as maths, science and English, so many Jaipur children work from the same core books whatever the school. What families want is help with homework, steady reading practice, number facts that stick, and handwriting a teacher can read.
Language is a real part of primary requests in Jaipur. A child in an English-medium school may need help with Hindi as well as English, while a child in a Hindi-medium school may need English built up from the start. Tutors on NXTutors list Hindi and Sanskrit among their subjects, and many teach every subject at primary level, so a tutor who can take Hindi alongside English and maths fits more Jaipur homes.
Class by class: Classes 1 and 2 are letter sounds, sight words, counting, place value and simple addition and subtraction. Classes 3 to 5 bring times tables learnt with meaning, division, fractions, measurement, money and time, word problems, longer reading passages and a first short paragraph. When a child still counts on fingers in Class 4, the answer is usually firmer number facts and more hands-on work, and a good tutor tells the parent that gently after the first lesson.
With young children, a short trip matters more than anything, because a lesson that starts late eats into dinner and bedtime. Houses and builder floors across Raja Park, Jawahar Nagar & Bapu Nagar make for doorstep visits, and in Mansarovar & Sanganer the housing board blocks of Mansarovar and Pratap Nagar are similar once you have the scheme or sector. A tutor living in one of those colonies can often fit a whole afternoon of lessons within a few lanes.
In C-Scheme, Bani Park & Vidhyadhar Nagar, Bani Park and Vidhyadhar Nagar are house visits while C-Scheme buildings sign you in. In Vaishali Nagar & West Jaipur and in Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura & Tonk Road, gated communities and complexes register you at the gate, sometimes through a visitor app, so ask for the tower and flat before the demo. Early after-school slots work well across the city and avoid the evening rush on Ajmer Road, Tonk Road and the market roads.
Housing type changes the first visit more than the subject does. In a plotted colony or housing board sector, ask for the plot or house number, the floor and a map pin, because similar addresses repeat across schemes in Mansarovar, Chitrakoot and Jawahar Nagar. In Sanganer's older lanes, a two-wheeler finds the house more easily than a car, and a tutor who already lives nearby saves the family a long wait on the first day.
Primary families read a profile for warmth and reliability as much as for subjects. Say which classes you take, which subjects (for example, all subjects for Classes 1 to 5, including Hindi), and the colonies you can reach easily. A tutor who lives in the same scheme or sector has a natural head start; if that is you, put the colony on your profile.
In the demo, keep it light and active. Read a short passage with the child, do a few mental sums with counters or fingers, and look at a recent page of school work. You will learn more from how the child holds the pencil and what they skip than from any test. Tell the parent two things to work on and how you will do it over the next month, and agree a slot that still works in exam weeks.
Steadiness keeps the work. Young children settle with a tutor who comes at a fixed time on fixed weekdays, so offer only the hours you can keep through the school year, including the weeks before half-yearly and annual exams. If an evening trip will clash with market crowds in Raja Park or Malviya Nagar, say so at the start and suggest an earlier slot instead.
Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.
Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.
A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Mostly yes, for Classes 1 to 5. Maths, English, Hindi and environmental studies are often asked for together, so list every subject you can teach.
Yes. Families prefer a tutor at the table for young children. Online can work for short reading or revision sessions with a parent nearby.
Less than in senior classes. Learn the child's school books and pace; RBSE and CBSE both use NCERT books in core subjects such as maths and English.
Early after school on weekdays, and weekend mornings. Evening market roads in Raja Park and Malviya Nagar and evening traffic on Ajmer Road make later slots harder.
Teach in a shared room with an adult at home, settle fees and timings with a parent, and in gated complexes ask to be registered at the gate so visits are recorded.
Yes, for short sessions such as reading practice, spelling or tables revision, with a parent close by. Most Jaipur families still want home visits for Classes 1 to 5, so online works well as an extra rather than the whole plan.
