Tutoring in Jaipur: what to know
Jaipur has five zones on NXTutors, set around the walled city. C-Scheme and Civil Lines mix apartment buildings and bungalows with offices, while Bani Park and Vidhyadhar Nagar to the north are mostly independent houses, the latter in numbered sectors. East and south-east, Raja Park, Jawahar Nagar and Bapu Nagar are established houses and builder floors where visits rarely involve a gate desk. West Jaipur, from Vaishali Nagar to Ajmer Road, adds gated communities and larger townships, Mansarovar and Pratap Nagar are planned schemes with housing board flats, and the Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura and Tonk Road belt leans to apartments in gated complexes.
Jaipur's only working metro is the Pink Line, which runs from Mansarovar along New Sanganer Road and Hawa Sadak to Civil Lines, Railway Station and Sindhi Camp. That helps in the west and south-west, but the north, the Raja Park side and the Tonk Road belt depend on roads, and the planned Orange Line is still under construction. Most tutors therefore travel by scooter, auto or car. Gopalpura Bypass stays busy with coaching crowds through the day, Ajmer Road and the 200 Feet Bypass are heavy in the evening, market roads in Raja Park and Malviya Nagar fill after dark, and crossing Tonk Road at peak hours is slow.
Jaipur families study under four broad systems: CBSE, the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE), CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and, in a smaller group, the IB or Cambridge IGCSE. For RBSE students the medium is part of the request, so state whether you teach in Hindi, English or both. Address detail matters here, because sector and scheme numbers repeat across Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Chitrakoot and Mansarovar. Online teaching lets a tutor anywhere in India take Jaipur students, which matters most for IB, IGCSE and senior specialist papers, and it helps on exam weeks when a cross-city trip is hard to fit.

Boards you can teach in Jaipur
Jaipur tutors teach RBSE, CBSE, CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and for a smaller group the IB or Cambridge IGCSE. RBSE, the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, was set up in Jaipur in 1957 and has worked from Ajmer since 1961; it runs the Secondary exam after Class 10 and the Senior Secondary exam after Class 12, and its Class 10 papers carry 80 marks plus 20 sessional marks from school. Read the current syllabus and prospectus on rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in, CBSE material on cbseacademic.nic.in and CISCE documents on cisce.org.
RBSE
Secondary (Class 10); Senior Secondary (Class 12)
RBSE prescribes NCERT textbooks in subjects such as maths, science and English, and each Class 10 paper carries 80 marks plus 20 sessional marks from school. Where a textbook's printed syllabus differs from the board website, the website counts. The syllabus is published in Hindi and English, so teach in the student's medium.
CBSE is one of the four systems Jaipur families study under. Lessons built on NCERT carry over neatly, since RBSE also prescribes NCERT books in core subjects, but CBSE has its own sample papers and marking schemes on cbseacademic.nic.in. A steady rhythm of chapter, test and correction works across Jaipur's colonies.
CISCE
ICSE (Class 10); ISC (Class 12)
ICSE at Class 10 and ISC at Class 12 reward full, well-organised written answers across a wide syllabus, and English includes prescribed literature. A Jaipur tutor for these boards needs the current text list, a revision plan that reaches every chapter, and time for project work. Regulations are on cisce.org.
IB
Diploma Programme (Classes 11–12)
The IB Diploma mixes final exams with internal assessment, and Mathematics comes as Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, at Standard or Higher Level. Jaipur's IB students are a smaller group, so an online offer widens your reach. Guide each IA without writing it, using the ibo.org guides.
Cambridge IGCSE is about exam craft: command words, the right tier and past papers marked against the official scheme. A Jaipur tutor who keeps marked papers by topic and offers online sessions can teach students from Vaishali Nagar to Jagatpura. Syllabuses sit on cambridgeinternational.org, with Pearson's site for Edexcel.
