What home tuition costs in Jaipur

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

JEE home tutors in Jaipur, working beside coaching

Jaipur is a coaching city in its own right, and whole stretches of road, Gopalpura Bypass among them, fill with students on their way to class. Many families here therefore do not need a tutor to replace coaching. They need one who clears what coaching leaves behind, keeps the board exam safe, and fits into a week already shaped by school, batches and Jaipur's traffic. This page explains how families set that up: the slots that work, how tutors reach each of the five zones, what RBSE students in Hindi or English medium should plan for, and how Class 11, Class 12 and a repeat year differ. The exam in full is on our national JEE home tutor guide. Written by the NXTutors Academic Team.

JEE Main and Advanced in brief

JEE (Main) Paper 1, as the NTA set it out for 2026, is a three-hour computer-based paper of 75 questions and 300 marks, with 25 questions each in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Twenty in each subject are multiple choice and five need a typed numerical answer, and a wrong answer in either kind costs a mark. Two sessions ran in 2026, in January and April. For 2026, only the 2,50,000 highest-ranked successful candidates in Paper 1 could go on to JEE (Advanced), the IITs' own exam of two compulsory three-hour papers, offered in English and Hindi. Check jeemain.nta.nic.in and jeeadv.ac.in for the year you are planning for.

What a home tutor does that a coaching batch cannot

Splitting the work between coaching and a Jaipur home tutor
JobCoachingHome tutor
Pace and chapter orderSets it for the batchFollows it, flags when the student is falling behind
Unsolved sheet questionsLittle time per studentWorks through them from the step where the student stopped
Test papersSets and ranks themGoes through every wrong, skipped and slow question
Board examOften squeezed outBoard-style written answers before pre-boards
The weakest subjectSame hours for all threeExtra hours where the total is lost

A tutor who simply repeats the week's coaching lecture adds little. The value is in the student's own stuck questions and test mistakes. Our article comparing coaching and a home tutor for JEE was written for Gurugram, but the reasoning holds in Jaipur.

Choosing the tutor's slot around coaching

Fix coaching first, then the tutor, and keep the tutor's slot the same every week. A few Jaipur patterns help:

  • Near Gopalpura Bypass. The road is packed with students through the day and into the early evening, so a visiting tutor manages a late-evening or weekend lesson far more easily.
  • Either side of Tonk Road. Crossing it at peak hours is slow; a tutor already on your side keeps time better.
  • Along the Pink Line. From Mansarovar through Shyam Nagar to the railway station, a tutor who travels by metro can come at hours when the roads are bad.
  • After a coaching evening. A 30 to 45-minute online doubt slot needs no travel at all.

Tell us the batch timings when you ask for tutors; we shortlist people whose own week fits yours.

An illustrative case: a Class 12 student living in Vaishali Nagar, attending coaching on four weekday afternoons in the south of the city, with maths scores flat and physics holding up. A week built around that journey:

An example week for a Jaipur JEE student with coaching four days
DayPlan
Coaching daysUnsolved maths questions go on a list with the step where the student stopped
One coaching eveningOnline maths doubt slot, 40 minutes, after dinner
Free weekdayHome maths lesson, 90 minutes, before Ajmer Road fills: the list first, then one weak chapter
WeekendCoaching test, then a test review with the tutor, every lost mark sorted by cause

Chemistry and physics stay with coaching and self-study, reviewed through test scores, and a second subject tutor is added only if the reviews point there.

How JEE tutors reach Jaipur's five zones

Getting a JEE tutor to each zone
ZoneExample areasHow tutors come, and when
C-Scheme, Bani Park & Vidhyadhar NagarSikar RoadMetro only at the southern edge; on Sikar Road say which end you live on, since that decides who can reach you
Raja Park, Jawahar Nagar & Bapu NagarTilak NagarNo station; scooter or car; an early after-school slot avoids the market crowds
Vaishali Nagar & West JaipurVaishali NagarAway from the Pink Line, so a smaller pool; Ajmer Road and the 200 Feet Bypass are heavy in the evening
Mansarovar & SanganerGopalpura Bypass, Pratap NagarPratap Nagar is popular with students because colleges and coaching are within reach; late-evening or weekend lessons suit the bypass
Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura & Tonk RoadDurgapuraRail, not metro, for now; most tutors come by scooter from nearby colonies

The Jaipur page lists every colony we cover, and our south and west Jaipur guide goes deeper on travel in the coaching belt.

Home or online, subject by subject

Mathematics and physics gain most from a tutor at the table, reading every line of working: a slip in a calculus step or a free-body diagram is easier to catch in person. Chemistry splits naturally, with physical chemistry numericals at home and inorganic or organic recall checks online. Test analysis works well on a shared screen. Many Jaipur families settle on one home visit a week for the heavy teaching and one or two online slots on coaching evenings, switching to fully online in exam weeks when the bypass and Tonk Road are at their worst. JEE itself is taken on computer, so some on-screen practice is useful in any case.

Before the first home visit, a few Jaipur details save a late start to a long session:

  • In gated complexes in Jagatpura or Vaishali Nagar, register the tutor at the gate and share the tower and flat number.
  • For housing board blocks in Mansarovar and Pratap Nagar, give the scheme or sector as well as the flat, since similar addresses repeat.
  • In Raja Park or Adarsh Nagar, suggest where a two-wheeler can be parked off the market road.
  • Keep the coaching module, the doubt list and the latest test on the table, so the lesson starts from them.

RBSE students, Hindi medium and the JEE syllabus

Jaipur students come to JEE from CBSE, from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, from CISCE schools and, in smaller numbers, from international programmes. The NTA syllabus is its own document, with 14 mathematics units and 20 each in physics and chemistry, and it sits close to the NCERT books rather than to any state textbook.

  • Map the gap early. RBSE sets its own textbooks and papers. In the first weeks of Class 11, the tutor should compare the school book with the NTA unit list and mark the units taught late, briefly or not at all. Take RBSE's own pattern and dates only from the board's website.
  • Mind the medium. A student taught in Hindi who will sit JEE in English needs terms in both languages until the English ones come without effort. JEE (Advanced) is offered in English and Hindi and JEE (Main) in 13 languages; check the current list and choose early.
  • The practical units. Physics and chemistry both end with experimental-skills units in the NTA syllabus; teach them as exam content.

Class 11, Class 12 and a repeat year

A Jaipur JEE plan by stage
StageMain aimTutor time usually goes to
Class 11, first termKeep pace with coaching from day oneBasic calculus, vectors, kinematics, mole concept; the RBSE gap list
Class 11, second termNo backlog going into Class 12Weekly doubt pile, first mixed tests, an error log
Class 12Finish, revise, testFull timed papers before the January session; board-style answers before pre-boards
Repeat yearFix what cost marks last timeDiagnosis of old tests, chapter rebuilds, many full papers; daytime lessons

Under the 2026 bulletin JEE (Main) had no age limit and accepted students who passed Class XII in the two previous years, while JEE (Advanced) limits candidates to two attempts in consecutive years. Read the current documents before planning a repeat year. Topic help: JEE maths, JEE physics and JEE chemistry by branch.

Using the free demo well

  1. Bring three questions from the latest coaching sheet that the student could not solve.
  2. Watch whether the tutor first asks what was tried, then guides with questions rather than solving on the board.
  3. Ask for a shorter second method on one of them.
  4. Ask how the tutor reviews a coaching test, question by question.
  5. For RBSE students, ask which language the tutor will teach in, and how terms will be bridged.
  6. Ask for a written plan for the next four weeks.

Two or three matched tutors come back, the first lesson is free, and switching later costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check. Browse tutor profiles too.

JEE tutor fees in Jaipur

JEE Home Tutor in Jaipur: common questions

Does my child need a home tutor if they already attend JEE coaching in Jaipur?

Not always. A tutor helps when coaching is not turning into test scores: unsolved sheets pile up, one subject drags the total, or the board exam is being pushed aside. Then a weekly session on the student's own stuck questions and test mistakes adds what a large batch cannot. Re-teaching lectures adds little.

When should a JEE tutor visit if we live near Gopalpura Bypass?

The bypass is packed with students through the day and into the early evening, so late-evening or weekend lessons are far easier for a visiting tutor. On coaching evenings, a short online doubt slot avoids travel altogether. Share your batch timings in the request and we shortlist tutors whose week fits.

My child is in an RBSE school in Hindi medium. Can they prepare for JEE?

Yes. Ask for a tutor who teaches comfortably in Hindi and gives each term in both languages until the exam language is settled; JEE Advanced is offered in English and Hindi, and Main in 13 languages. Early in Class 11, the tutor should also compare the RBSE textbook with the NTA unit list.

Can a JEE tutor come by metro in Jaipur?

In parts of the city, yes. The Pink Line runs from Mansarovar through Shyam Nagar and the railway station side to the walled city, so families near those stations can draw on tutors who ride in. Vaishali Nagar, the Tonk Road belt and the north mostly depend on tutors coming by scooter or car.

Should JEE tuition in Jaipur be at home or online?

Usually both. Maths and physics gain from a tutor at the table reading every line of working, while chemistry recall, doubt slots after coaching and test reviews work well online. In exam weeks, when the bypass and Tonk Road are slow, many families move fully online for a fortnight and then return.

How much does a JEE home tutor cost in Jaipur?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour, with JEE toward the upper end and JEE Advanced specialists able to charge more. Tutors set their own fee and you see it before the demo. The number of subjects and sessions matters more to the monthly total than the rate.

How do we judge a JEE tutor in the free demo?

Bring three questions from the latest coaching sheet that your child could not solve. Watch whether the tutor asks what was tried, lets the student do the solving, shows a quicker method and explains how tests will be reviewed. If it does not fit, we arrange the next demo; switching later is free.
