Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Jaipur spreads along three highways, towards Sikar, Ajmer and Tonk, with a single metro line running east from Mansarovar to the old city. For a home tutor, that geography decides who can come and when. Online lessons remove it from the equation: a student in Jagatpura can learn from a specialist in Vidhyadhar Nagar, or in another city, without anyone crossing Tonk Road at rush hour. This guide from the NXTutors Academic Team sets out when online tuition is the better choice in Jaipur, when a home tutor still wins, how to set lessons up, what your child needs on the desk, and how to tell whether it is working.
The metro will not change this soon. The Pink Line serves Mansarovar, Shyam Nagar, Sodala, Civil Lines and the station side; the north-south Orange Line is planned and under construction, so do not plan a tutor's commute around it yet.
For nursery, KG and the early primary years, a tutor in the room is nearly always better; small children need someone to steady the pencil and keep attention on the page. A home tutor also wins for a student who drifts on screen, for basic maths where every line of working must be watched, and for families who simply want an adult sitting with the child at a fixed hour. If a good tutor lives in your colony or the next one, the case for online weakens. Our primary and nursery and KG pages for Jaipur explain what home lessons look like at those ages.
| Situation | Usually suits | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Class 3 child in Raja Park needing reading help | Home | Young child; tutors live in the neighbouring colonies |
| IB Diploma student in C-Scheme wanting Maths AA HL | Online, or hybrid | The specialist may live anywhere in India |
| Class 12 student in Pratap Nagar with evening coaching | Online on weekdays, home at weekends | No travel after coaching; full papers at home on Sunday |
| RBSE Class 10 student in Jhotwara, Hindi medium | Home | Written maths and science need watching; medium matters |
| IGCSE student far out on Ajmer Road | Online | Specialist plus distance |
| Commerce student in Jagatpura behind in accountancy | Either, with a shared screen for ledgers | Accounts can be worked live on a shared sheet |
| Zone | What limits home visits | Where online helps |
|---|---|---|
| C-Scheme, Bani Park & Vidhyadhar Nagar | No metro north of the station; Sikar Road traffic; office-hour parking in C-Scheme | Specialists for northern colonies; weekday sessions in C-Scheme |
| Raja Park, Jawahar Nagar & Bapu Nagar | Market roads and Tonk Road in the evening | International-board subjects and late-evening doubt sessions |
| Vaishali Nagar & West Jaipur | Vaishali Nagar and Chitrakoot are off the metro; Ajmer Road and the 200 Feet Bypass are heavy | Deep inside Vaishali Nagar and the outer Ajmer Road townships |
| Mansarovar & Sanganer | The bypass crowd by day and Shipra Path by evening | Sessions straight after coaching; senior specialists |
| Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura & Tonk Road | Crossing Tonk Road; flyover traffic | When the right tutor lives on the other side of the highway |
Classes 1 to 5: online only as an extra, for reading aloud or spoken English, with an adult nearby. Classes 6 to 8: workable for a motivated child, ideally with sessions under an hour. Classes 9 and 10: works well if the tutor can see every line of written working; RBSE students should ask for a tutor who teaches in their medium. Classes 11 and 12: often the most practical choice, especially beside coaching, and the way to reach a specialist in physics, chemistry, maths or accountancy. For the board-specific detail, see Class 10 and Class 12 home tutors in Jaipur.
The demo request form includes a Mode field, so you can choose online, home or either at the outset.
Week one is setup and diagnosis: the tutor checks that audio, video and the written-work method all work, then tests where your child stands. Weeks two and three settle into a rhythm, with a fixed slot, homework sent as photographs or on a shared document, and corrections returned before the next lesson. By week four you should see a short written plan for the term and one marked test. If the connection drops every session, or the tutor cannot see your child's writing, fix it in the first fortnight or change tutor; those problems do not go away by themselves.
The same way as home tuition, with two extra checks. Marks and confidence should rise over a term in the tutored subject. Your child should do most of the writing during the session, visible to the tutor, rather than watching the tutor solve problems. And homework should be marked and returned between sessions, not left for the next lesson. Sit in for the last ten minutes once a month and ask the tutor what has improved.
Many Jaipur families settle on a hybrid: one visit at home each week, often at the weekend when roads are quieter, and one shorter online session midweek. It keeps the personal contact and the watched written work, and adds flexibility around school, coaching and traffic. It also helps in exam season, when the home visit can become a full timed paper and the online session a review of mistakes. Agree in advance which sessions are which, and whether a home lesson becomes online if travel fails on the day.
Keep the device in a shared room with the door open, especially for younger children. Use the app and link the family set up, and know who is on the call. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check before their profile is marked Verified; it is not a police or background check, so meet the tutor in the free demo and judge for yourself. Recording policy, if any, should be agreed openly between you and the tutor. Our comparison of home and online tutoring covers more trade-offs.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Online tutors set their own fees on the same basis of class, subject and experience. Some charge a little less because there is no journey; specialists in demand may charge the same or more. Every shortlisted tutor's fee is visible before the demo. See the pricing guide and home tuition fees in Jaipur.
Some Jaipur localities make the case for online especially clear. On Sikar Road, a long highway corridor with no metro, newer layouts further out are hard for central tutors to reach weekly. Jhotwara sees Kalwar Road fill in the evening. Further out on Ajmer Road, townships are a long ride for most specialists.
Tilak Nagar is central, but its roads towards Moti Doongri and Tonk Road get busy in the evening. In Pratap Nagar, a popular area with students, online sessions slot neatly after coaching. And in Jagatpura, where roads near the flyover crowd at peak hours, a hybrid of weekend home visits and midweek online lessons often fits well.

When the specialist you need is rare, such as IB, IGCSE or ISC; when your home is a long trip from suitable tutors, far out on Sikar Road or across Tonk Road; when coaching fills the evening; or in exam weeks. For young children and basic written maths, a home tutor usually works better.
Type a request with the word online, such as "online chemistry tutor ISC Class 12", or switch the toggle to Online. Find Tutors filters online tutors by subject, board, class, fee, experience, rating and gender. Or send a request with the Mode set to online, and two or three matched tutors come back.
You and the tutor agree the video app and how written work is shared; NXTutors does not insist on one platform. What matters is that the tutor can see your child's writing, through a pen tablet, shared whiteboard or a phone propped over the notebook. Test all of it during the free demo.
Yes. Mention the medium in your request and NXTutors matches tutors who teach in it. Online makes the choice wider, since the tutor need not live in Jaipur. Ask the tutor at the demo to use the terms printed in your child's Hindi textbook, so the answers match the paper.
