Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

A commerce student in Class 11 or 12 is not studying one subject but a stream: accountancy, business studies and economics together, with maths, a computer subject or typing and shorthand alongside on the Rajasthan board. The subjects lean on each other, so a sound tuition plan treats them as a set. This guide from the NXTutors Academic Team explains how the commerce stream is built on the Rajasthan board, CBSE and ISC, whether to hire one tutor or two, where commerce marks are usually lost, how to plan the two years, where CUET and CA Foundation fit, and how to get a commerce tutor to your door in Jaipur.
| Board | Main commerce subjects | Tell the tutor |
|---|---|---|
| Rajasthan board | Accountancy and Business Studies, plus one of Economics, Mathematics, typing or shorthand, or a computer subject; Hindi and English compulsory | The third optional subject and the medium, Hindi or English |
| CBSE | Accountancy (055), Business Studies (054), Economics (030), each 80 + 20; Mathematics or Applied Mathematics (241) often chosen | Which maths, if any, and the school's practical or project work |
| ISC | Accounts (858), Commerce (857), Economics (856) | The elective set and project deadlines |

The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan examines Senior Secondary students in Arts, Science and Commerce. Its Class 11 scheme for 2026 gives every student four compulsory courses, Hindi, English, Azadi ke baad ka Swarnim Bharat (Part 1) and life-skills education, and then three optional subjects with ten periods a week each. For commerce, two of them are fixed, accountancy and business studies, and the third is chosen from economics, mathematics, Hindi and English typewriting, Hindi or English shorthand, or a computer subject such as computer science, informatics practices or multimedia and web technology.
That third choice matters more than families often realise. Economics pairs naturally with CUET and most commerce degrees; mathematics helps with any later quantitative course; the computer and typing options suit other plans. Ask the school which combinations it offers, then match the tutor to them. The Class 11 syllabus sets accountancy as a single 100-mark paper of 3 hours 15 minutes, starting from the basics of financial accounting, and economics opens with statistics for economics, which surprises students who expected only theory. That statistics section moves from collecting and organising data to tables, diagrams such as histograms and ogives, and statistical measures including the mean, median and quartiles. A tutor who starts these early, with real data from the student's own life such as marks or household spending, turns a feared section into an easy one.
| Subject (code) | Paper | How the 80 marks split |
|---|---|---|
| Accountancy (30) | 3 hours 15 minutes, 80 + 20 sessional | Partnership accounts 35 (basic concepts 7, admission 11, retirement or death 11, dissolution 6); company accounts and analysis of financial statements 45 |
| Business Studies (31) | 3 hours 15 minutes, 80 + 20 sessional | Principles and functions of management 50; business finance and marketing 30 |
| Economics (10) | 3 hours 15 minutes, 80 + 20 sessional | Microeconomics and macroeconomics, from the NCERT books |
The prescribed books are NCERT's, published under copyright, so a CBSE-trained commerce tutor will recognise the chapters. The paper length, the sessional share and the medium are where an RBSE-aware tutor earns the fee.
| Arrangement | Suits | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| One tutor for all commerce subjects | A student slightly behind across the stream | Accountancy crowding out the theory subjects |
| Accountancy specialist only | A student comfortable with theory but weak in entries and adjustments | Business studies answers left unpractised |
| Accountancy tutor plus an economics or maths tutor | A student taking economics or maths as the third subject and struggling with it | Two timetables to coordinate |
| Home tutor for accountancy, online for the rest | Busy evenings, or a specialist who lives far away | Making sure written answers are still checked |
In accountancy, the student works the entries and the tutor watches the format: journal, ledger, adjustments, final accounts, each balanced. Fifteen minutes of a timed question at the end keeps speed honest. In business studies and economics, the student writes one answer per session to the board's length, and the tutor marks it for the key terms, structure and examples the paper rewards. Diagrams in economics are drawn every time, not described. A tutor who spends the hour reading from a guide book is not adding anything your child cannot get alone.
CUET UG, run by the National Testing Agency, is used for undergraduate admission to central and participating universities, and its domain subjects include accountancy or book keeping, economics or business economics, and business studies. Check the current subject list on cuet.nta.nic.in; our CUET preparation guide explains the format. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's CA Foundation has four papers: accounting, business laws, quantitative aptitude and business economics. A Class 12 commerce tutor can point accountancy and economics revision towards both, but eligibility and dates come only from the official sites. For choosing streams in the first place, see our guide to choosing a board and stream.
| Zone | Getting there | A slot that fits a senior student |
|---|---|---|
| C-Scheme, Bani Park & Vidhyadhar Nagar | Pink Line to Sindhi Camp or Railway Station for the southern colonies; scooter or auto to the north | Weekend mornings in C-Scheme; later weekday evenings further north |
| Raja Park, Jawahar Nagar & Bapu Nagar | By road from Malviya Nagar, Durgapura and the centre | Straight after school, before the market evening |
| Vaishali Nagar & West Jaipur | Pink Line near Sodala, Shyam Nagar and Nirman Nagar; road elsewhere | Leave a margin around Ajmer Road's evening peak |
| Mansarovar & Sanganer | Pink Line to Mansarovar; road to Pratap Nagar and Sanganer | Late evening, after the bypass crowd thins |
| Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura & Tonk Road | Scooter or car from nearby colonies | An earlier evening, with a tutor on your side of Tonk Road |
Accountancy benefits most from a tutor at the table, because every entry and total can be checked as it is written. Business studies and economics answers work well online, with photographs of written answers sent for marking. Many commerce families mix the two with the same tutor.
The demo is free, and changing tutor later costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check. See our demo class checklist, and for the class pages, Class 11 and Class 12 home tutors in Jaipur.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Commerce fees move with the number of subjects, the board, the tutor's experience and the journey; each tutor sets a rate that you see before the demo. See the pricing guide and home tuition fees in Jaipur.
In C-Scheme, apartment buildings sign visitors in and office-hour parking is tight; in Bani Park, mostly independent houses near the station, the tutor usually comes straight to the door. Raja Park families in the lanes behind the main road should share a landmark. Sodala sits close to both Ram Nagar and Civil Lines stations, which helps tutors coming by metro.
Behind Gopalpura Bypass, where the road is busy with students for much of the day, late-evening lessons are easier. And Malviya Nagar, close to both Tonk Road and the airport road, is easy to reach from Bapu Nagar and Durgapura outside peak hours. Send the board, class, subjects, third optional subject, medium and colony; two or three tutors come back with fees. Or book a free demo, browse tutor profiles, or see every locality on home tutors in Jaipur.
The Rajasthan board's 2026 Class 11 scheme fixes accountancy and business studies, with a third subject from economics, mathematics, typewriting or shorthand, or a computer subject. Hindi, English and two further courses are compulsory for everyone. Ask the school which combinations it offers, and check rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in.
The 2026–27 syllabus sets one paper of 3 hours 15 minutes for 80 marks plus 20 sessional. Partnership accounts carry 35 of the 80, including 11 each for admission and for retirement or death of a partner, and company accounts with analysis of financial statements carry 45. The books are NCERT's.
One tutor suits a student slightly behind across the stream. If accountancy is the real problem, an accountancy specialist is better value. A student struggling with economics or maths as the third subject may need a second tutor. Use the free demos to test each tutor on a question from the current chapter.
The Rajasthan board's Class 11 economics syllabus opens with statistics for economics: collecting, organising and presenting data, then statistical measures such as the mean, median and quartiles. Students who chose commerce to avoid maths are often surprised. A tutor can build the numerical side early, before it costs marks in school exams.
Yes, alongside the board. CUET UG domain subjects include accountancy, economics and business studies, and CA Foundation has papers in accounting, business laws, quantitative aptitude and business economics. A Class 12 tutor can align revision with both, but take eligibility, syllabus and dates only from the official NTA and ICAI sites.
Accountancy benefits most from a tutor at the table, where every entry and total can be checked as it is written. Business studies and economics answers work well online, with photographs of written work sent for marking. Many Jaipur families combine both with the same tutor around school and coaching.
