Home Tuition in South and West Jaipur: Vaishali Nagar to Jagatpura

By NXTutors Academic Team 8 min read

South and west Jaipur is where the Pink Line begins and where much of the city's newer housing has grown: the planned colony of Mansarovar, the sectors of Chitrakoot and Pratap Nagar, the gated complexes of Jagatpura and the long corridors of Ajmer Road and Tonk Road. For a family looking for a home tutor, the two things that matter most here are whether the home is near a working station and which main road the tutor has to cross at the evening peak.

This guide covers three zones: Vaishali Nagar and West Jaipur; Mansarovar and Sanganer; and Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura and Tonk Road. Each zone has a table showing the nearest rail or metro link for every area, the usual homes and the visit routine, followed by advice on timing classes around the busiest roads.

What links the three zones?

The Pink Line starts at Mansarovar station, in the Padmavati Colony part of Nirman Nagar, and runs east along New Sanganer Road through New Aatish Market, Vivek Vihar and Shyam Nagar, then via Ram Nagar on Hawa Sadak towards Civil Lines. All these stations opened on 3 June 2015. Further south and east, tutors rely on the road network and on railway stations at Durgapura, Gandhinagar, Sanganer and Getor Jagatpura.

The Orange Line, a planned north-south route that is under construction, lists stops such as Gopalpura, Jaipur Airport, Sanganer PS, Haldighati Gate, Sitapura, Gandhinagar Station and Durgapura. None of them is open, so plan every trip on today's roads and trains.

Vaishali Nagar and West Jaipur

Vaishali Nagar is bounded by Queens Road to the east, the Delhi Bypass to the west, Ajmer Road to the south and Sirsi Road to the north. South of it, Ajmer Road, part of National Highway 48, runs out towards Ajmer, with Chitrakoot and Nirman Nagar along it and Shyam Nagar and Sodala closer to the Pink Line.

AreaNearest rail or metroUsual homesVisit routine
Vaishali NagarNo station inside; tutors come by scooter or carApartment buildings, gated communities, independent houses, builder floorsGate registration in communities; doorstep in houses. Main market roads are busy in the evening.
ChitrakootNo station; Ajmer Road and the 200 Feet BypassIndependent houses and apartments across 12 sectors, ten mainly residentialGive the sector with the plot or flat number; complexes register visitors.
Nirman NagarPink Line at Mansarovar and New Aatish MarketIndependent houses and high-rise apartment buildingsHigh-rises register visitors; houses are reached at the door.
Shyam NagarPink Line at Shyam Nagar and Vivek ViharApartments and independent houses, with parks through the colonyNew Sanganer Road gets crowded in the evening; allow a margin.
SodalaPink Line at Ram Nagar; Civil Lines station nearbyBuilder floors, apartment buildings, independent housesBuilder floors mean a doorstep visit; evening traffic on Ajmer Road is heavy.
Ajmer RoadCivil Lines station for colonies near the city endHouses and apartments in colonies, townships and villa projects further outTownships register visitors at the gate; name your colony so the tutor knows the stretch.

The practical split in this zone is between homes near the Pink Line, where a tutor from Civil Lines or the railway station side can arrive by metro, and homes in Vaishali Nagar, Chitrakoot and the outer Ajmer Road colonies, where a tutor from the same zone on a scooter is usually the steadiest choice.

Mansarovar and Sanganer

Mansarovar was planned by the Jaipur Development Authority, and metro service reached it with the Pink Line in June 2015. To the south-east, Sanganer is a historic town known for textile printing and handmade paper and home to Jaipur International Airport, while Pratap Nagar, on Tonk Road, was developed largely by the Rajasthan Housing Board in numbered sectors.

MansarovarPink Line at Mansarovar, New Aatish Market and Vivek ViharHousing board flats, independent houses, plots, villas, apartment complexesFlats and houses usually at the door; newer complexes register visitors. Shipra Path is busy in the evening.
Gopalpura BypassDurgapura and Gandhinagar railway stationsIndependent houses, builder floors and apartments behind a busy main roadThe road is packed with the coaching crowd into the early evening; late-evening or weekend slots work better.

Pratap NagarDurgapura and Sanganer railway stationsFlats in housing board blocks and apartment complexesShare the sector and block; gated complexes register visitors.

Mansarovar is the easiest place in south Jaipur to reach by metro, so families here can often draw tutors from Shyam Nagar, Civil Lines and beyond. In Sanganer and Pratap Nagar, with no metro yet, a tutor from Mansarovar, Durgapura or the same sectors is usually the better fit.

Malviya Nagar, Jagatpura and Tonk Road

Tonk Road, part of National Highway 52, runs south from the city centre past Gandhinagar railway station at Tonk Phatak, Bajaj Nagar, Durgapura and Pratap Nagar towards Sanganer. Malviya Nagar and Jagatpura lie to its east, with the main road to the airport running close to Malviya Nagar.

AreaNearest rail or metroUsual homesVisit routine
Malviya NagarGandhinagar and Durgapura railway stations; no metroBuilder floors, apartments, villas and plotted housesBuilder floors at the door; complexes register visitors. Market and restaurant roads fill up in the evening.
JagatpuraGetor Jagatpura railway station; Durgapura within reachMostly apartments in gated complexes, with plotted colonies and villasRegister the tutor at the gate and share the tower and flat number. Roads near the flyover are busy in the evening.
Tonk RoadGandhinagar and Durgapura railway stationsHouses, builder floors and apartment buildings in colonies off the main roadCrossing the road at peak hours takes time, so a tutor on the same side is easier.
DurgapuraDurgapura railway station; Gandhinagar nearbyIndependent houses and apartment buildings in an organised colonyHouses at the door; apartments may register visitors. Allow spare time on Tonk Road.

How should we time a class around the main roads?

  • Ajmer Road and the bypasses: in Chitrakoot, Nirman Nagar, Sodala and along Ajmer Road, evening traffic is heavy, so either start soon after school or choose a tutor who can use the Pink Line.
  • New Sanganer Road and Shipra Path: in Shyam Nagar and Mansarovar, a tutor who comes by metro keeps better time in the evening than one on the road.
  • Gopalpura Bypass: late-evening or weekend slots avoid the busy daytime and early-evening stretch.
  • Tonk Road: ask for a tutor who lives on your side of the road, and allow spare time for evening classes in Durgapura, Pratap Nagar and Sanganer.
  • Malviya Nagar and Jagatpura: an earlier slot after school avoids the busiest market roads and the flyover approaches.

Frequently asked questions

Which Pink Line metro stations serve south and west Jaipur?

Five Pink Line stations serve south and west Jaipur: Mansarovar, New Aatish Market, Vivek Vihar, Shyam Nagar and Ram Nagar, all open since June 2015. They put Mansarovar, Nirman Nagar, Shyam Nagar and Sodala within reach, so a tutor can ride in and finish by auto or on foot. Vaishali Nagar, Malviya Nagar and Jagatpura have no metro station.

Can tutors use Jaipur's Orange Line to reach Tonk Road or Sanganer?

No, tutors cannot yet use Jaipur's Orange Line to reach Tonk Road or Sanganer, because the line is planned and under construction with no station open. Its listed stops include Gandhinagar Station, Durgapura, Gopalpura and Sanganer PS. For now tutors come by scooter, car or auto, and railway stations at Durgapura and Sanganer help some trips.

Do gated complexes in Jagatpura and Vaishali Nagar need a gate pass for tutors?

Yes, gated complexes in Jagatpura and Vaishali Nagar usually register visitors, so a tutor needs to be on the gate list before the first class. Share the tutor's name, your tower and your flat number with security before the free demo. In independent houses and builder floors, common in Malviya Nagar, Sodala and Durgapura, the tutor comes straight to the door.

Which home-class slot suits families near Gopalpura Bypass?

Near Gopalpura Bypass in Jaipur, a late-evening weekday slot or a weekend morning suits home classes, because the main road stays packed through the day. The bypass is lined with showrooms, shops and many coaching institutes, and the crowd lasts into the early evening. A later slot gives a visiting tutor a steadier trip from Mansarovar, Durgapura or Nirman Nagar.

How much does home tuition cost in south and west Jaipur?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, and you see it before the free demo.

How does NXTutors match tutors for homes in south and west Jaipur?

NXTutors matches two or three tutors for each home in south and west Jaipur, at home where tutors live near your colony and online across India. Share your colony, sector or complex with the class, board and subject. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
