Getting a home tutor in Rohini Sector 11 works the same way as anywhere in Delhi: send NXTutors the class, board and subject with your pocket number, and you receive two or three tutors who can come to you or teach online. Each tutor's fee is listed before you book, the first lesson is a free demo, and you can switch later at no charge.
What differs is the geography. Sector 11 is a large sector on the north-western side of the Rohini zone, with an extension towards Sector 25, and no metro station inside it. Rithala on the Red Line is usually the nearest stop, with the Yellow Line a little further to the east. Below is how to make that work for a tutor's weekly visits.
| Point | Rohini Sector 11 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Rohini, North West Delhi (PIN 110085) |
| Homes | DDA flats, builder floors and cooperative group housing; an NDMC housing complex |
| Pockets on record | Pockets 3 and 7, F Block Pocket 2, H1 Block, 11E, 11G; Pocket 10 in Sector 11 Extension |
| Nearest metro | Rithala, Red Line, roughly 2.4 to 2.7 km; Samaypur Badli and Rohini Sector 18, 19, Yellow Line, further east |
| Buses | Stops at Rohini Sector 11 and on Rithala Road; feeder route F-826-A between Bawana and Rithala |
| Roads | Rammurti Passi Marg, Rithala Road, Bhagwan Mahavir Marg, Dr. K.N. Katju Marg, Guru Nanak Dev Road |
| Shopping | Garg Trade Centre, Metro Walk Mall, DDA Shopping Complex |
| Library | NDMC Palika Pustakalaya, NDMC Housing Complex, Sector 11 |
| Neighbours | Sectors 5, 10, 12 and 16; Sector 25 beyond the extension |
Sector 11 is big and split into many pockets, and Square Yards describes a mix of DDA flats, builder floors and cooperative group housing societies. NoBroker's locality page names Pocket 3, Pocket 7, H1 Block, Sector 11E and Sector 11G, and places Golden Jubilee Apartments in Pocket 10 of Sector 11 Extension. OpenStreetMap shows an F Block Pocket 2 park, and the NDMC lists a housing complex of its own in the sector.
The DDA's park register adds a clue to the layout: it lists green belts in Sector XI near the Balaji temple and in front of the SFS flats, a separate green belt for Sector XI Extension, and a plantation and woodland site of just over 14 acres. That green cover between pockets is one reason Square Yards calls the sector quiet.
Because the sector is large, the pocket number decides almost everything: which station is nearest, which road to enter by and whether there is a gate. Society flats usually have a guard and a visitor register; builder floors open from the lane, often with a locked street door; DDA blocks have shared stairs. Tell the tutor which of the three you live in.
NoBroker's reviewers note that some older streets need upkeep and that renovation is common as buildings age. In practice that can mean scaffolding, a blocked lane or building noise on some weekdays. If work is under way near your block, mention it to the tutor and pick a lesson time when the site is quiet, usually the late afternoon or a weekend.
Square Yards describes Garg Trade Centre as the sector's main complex, with a cinema, a supermarket and banks, and OpenStreetMap marks a DDA Shopping Complex. Metro Walk Mall sits towards Rithala. The Balaji Mandir and its park are mapped inside the sector, and Square Yards lists Shri Mahadev Mandir close by. Any of these makes a clearer meeting point than a pocket number on a first visit.
The themes below come from resident reviews and locality notes on Square Yards and NoBroker, rewritten as practical timing and planning advice.
The rest are the questions parents ask everywhere: steady days, board knowledge and clear progress updates. The sections that follow answer them for Sector 11.
Red Line. Rithala, the Red Line's western terminus in Sector 5, is usually nearest; NoBroker puts it about 2.4 km away and Square Yards about 2.7 km, depending on the pocket. Rohini West is about 3.4 km away by Square Yards' figures; news reports in 2026 said it is to be renamed, so check the current signage. A tutor on the Red Line from Kashmere Gate or Shahdara can ride straight to Rithala and take an e-rickshaw or bus for the last stretch.
Yellow Line. For pockets on the eastern side, Square Yards lists Samaypur Badli at about 3.3 km and Rohini Sector 18, 19 at about 4.1 km. A tutor from north Delhi or the Yellow Line corridor may find these simpler than changing to the Red Line.
Buses. NoBroker names bus stops at Rohini Sector 11 and on Rithala Road, and OpenStreetMap maps feeder route F-826-A between Bawana and Rithala along the sector.
Roads. Rammurti Passi Marg runs along the sector and, per Square Yards, links to Bhagwan Mahavir Marg and on towards Netaji Subhash Place. Rithala Road, Dr. K.N. Katju Marg and Guru Nanak Dev Road also serve the pockets. Tutors from Sectors 5, 10, 12 and 16 have the shortest trips by road.
Put together, the practical rule for Sector 11 is to match the tutor to your side of the sector. Western and southern pockets suit a tutor who uses Rithala or lives in Sector 5 or 10; eastern pockets suit one who comes from the Yellow Line side or from Sectors 12 and 16. Mention your pocket in the request so the shortlist reflects that.
Because Sector 11 mixes three housing types, entry differs from pocket to pocket.
If you prefer a woman tutor, say so in the request; see woman tutors for home lessons in Delhi. Tutors who join go through an ID check, and the profile badge appears only once our team has reviewed the ID; read how tutor IDs are checked. It is not a police or background check.
Most Sector 11 requests are CBSE, with ICSE and ISC next and IB or IGCSE now and then. Because no station is inside the sector, tutors for less common boards can be harder to bring in for several visits a week, so families on those programmes often combine a nearby home tutor with an online specialist.
For the differences between the boards, see the board comparison guide; for IB work in particular, our IB tutors in Delhi page explains how tutors split home and online time.
For young children, choose a tutor from Sector 11 itself or the next sector, so that three or four short weekly visits stay realistic. Work on reading, handwriting and number sense, and keep lessons in daylight in winter.
One tutor covering maths and science, two or three times a week, suits most children in these years. Give the tutor the school's worksheets so practice follows the classroom, and ask for a short written test every few weeks. Our English home tuition in Delhi page helps if reading and writing need extra work alongside.
Ask for a chapter-by-chapter plan from the start of Class 9, a monthly timed test and a list of weak topics you can see. Longer sessions of around ninety minutes make room to teach and to check. Our Class 9 tutors at home in Delhi page explains how tutors usually pace that first year.
Senior students generally need a tutor for each main subject. Because travel to Sector 11 takes longer for tutors from central Delhi, many families keep one subject at home and take another online. Commerce students often pair Accountancy and Economics with one tutor. Tell NXTutors which subjects you want at home and which online.
Use only the date sheets on cbse.gov.in and cisce.org. In the last weeks before papers, the NDMC library's hours, 11 am to 6 pm on working days, suit daytime revision. For extra tutor sessions, pick times that avoid the evening crush near Rithala.
A home tutor keeps your child off the roads in the evening and gives full attention, which suits a quiet sector like this one. For younger children it is usually the simplest choice.
Online lessons matter more in Sector 11 than in sectors with a station nearby, because they open up specialists who would find the trip long. They suit senior science, IB or IGCSE papers and entrance work. See online tutors for Delhi students.
A coaching centre suits a group learner who can travel alone, but from Sector 11 that often means a bus or e-rickshaw to Rithala and back after dark. Check the last batch time before you sign up. Many families here use a home tutor for school subjects and one online class for a specialist need.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Tutors set their own fees, and a Sector 11 family sees every one before the free demo. Class and subject explain most of the gap between quotes, followed by board, lesson length and the number of lessons each week.
Distance can play a part here. A tutor who comes from across Delhi to a sector without its own station may ask for fewer, longer sessions; a tutor from the next sector may be happy with short, frequent ones. Agree how cancellations, holidays and extra exam classes are counted before regular lessons start.
Sector 11 has something many Rohini sectors lack: a public library. The NDMC lists the Palika Pustakalaya at its housing complex in Sector 11, open to all from 11 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday, closed on the second Saturday, Sundays and gazetted holidays. For breaks, OpenStreetMap maps Colonel Prem Sahgal Park, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park and the Balaji Mandir Park, and Swarn Jayanti Park is a short ride south in Sector 10.

Class 10 is often the first year a child faces a full board examination, and a Rohini Sector 11 family can ask NXTutors for steady help well before it arrives. Tell us the board, the subjects that feel shaky and the chapters the school has finished, and we will put forward two or three people used to that class.
Sector 11 of Rohini has its own page, and anyone living in Rohini Sector 11, or listing it among their travel areas, comes first. If no such tutor is listed yet, the page turns to other parts of the Rohini zone, Rohini Sector 13 or Rohini Sector 9 for example, and after that to Delhi at large, home tutors from a different NCR city such as Noida, and lessons online. Every card explains why it is shown.
Agree a revision plan with the tutor early in the year, leaving room for school tests. For science, the Delhi Science home tutors page offers a wider choice. With no charge for the demo lesson, you can see whether the tutor's pace suits your child before you commit to anything. Ask, too, how they would use old question papers in the final months.
