Send NXTutors your child's class, board and subject, plus your pocket and block, and you get two or three tutors who can travel to the sector or teach online. Each tutor's fee is on the shortlist, the first class is a free demo, and changing tutor later costs nothing.
Sector 7 sits in the older southern belt of the Rohini zone, between Bhagwan Mahavir Marg and Shiva Road, with no metro station inside its own boundary but three Red Line stations within about two kilometres. That shapes almost everything below: routes, timing and what to tell a tutor before the demo.

Sector 7 is one of the sectors the Delhi Development Authority laid out when it began the Rohini sub-city in the 1980s. Like the rest of Rohini, it is divided into pockets, and the pocket and block letter matter more than the sector number when a tutor is finding your door.
Square Yards describes most flats here as DDA allotments, and says the sector has since split into sub-sectors and pockets. Its current sale listings are mainly builder floors and independent houses, from one to four bedrooms, which tells you that many original plots have been rebuilt as floors over the years. In practice a tutor may walk into a four-storey builder floor on one lane and an older DDA block on the next.
A few pocket names show up in public records. The DDA's own list of parks in North West Delhi includes a neighbourhood park in Pocket D-16 of Sector 7, and OpenStreetMap marks a D-10 park, a D-12 market and a G Block Road. These are useful as landmarks: "behind the D-12 market" is easier for a first-time visitor than a flat number alone.
Builder floors usually mean stairs or a small lift, a street-level door and parking on the lane. Older DDA blocks often have a shared staircase and compact rooms, so the study spot is often the dining table or a corner of the drawing room. Neither is a problem for a tutor, but both are worth mentioning in your request so the first visit starts on time.
OpenStreetMap places Police Station South Rohini, the MCD Maternity Government Hospital and the a polyclinic within or on the edge of the sector, and Square Yards counts the maternity hospital among the nearest health services. Shops cluster along Bhagwan Mahavir Marg, where Square Yards notes a small market strip, and at a second market inside the sector. Temples such as the Dwarkadish Temple and Shiv Shakti Hanuman Mandir are also on the map, and they make handy reference points for directions.
These themes come from Square Yards' locality page and resident review for Sector 7, rewritten as planning tips rather than complaints.
Beyond the locality, parents ask the usual questions: will the tutor keep fixed days, does the tutor know the board, and can one person handle maths and science together? The sections below take each in turn for Sector 7.
Three Red Line stations ring Sector 7. Square Yards measures the nearest as Rohini West, about 1.1 km away, across Bhagwan Mahavir Marg from Sector 6. Next is Rohini East, about 1.6 km away at the Sector 8 and 14 edge, and then Madhuban Chowk (formerly Pitampura), about 1.9 km away. Rithala, the end of the line, is about 2.8 km away. A 2026 news report said Rohini West and Rohini East will get new names, so check the signage before you give directions.
Which one to name depends on your pocket. Families towards Sector 6 and 10 usually find Rohini West simplest; Wikipedia notes it stands in front of Unity One Mall, which is an easy meeting point. Families nearer Sector 8 may prefer Rohini East. A tutor from central or east Delhi rides the Red Line straight in; one from Pitampura or Shalimar Bagh can also come via Madhuban Chowk.
By road, Bhagwan Mahavir Marg runs along the sector, and Shiva Road, Avantika Road and ESIC Road lead into the pockets. OpenStreetMap shows bus stops at Sai Baba Chowk and Nahar Pur Village, and DTC route 957 between Rohini Sector 22 Terminal and Shivaji Stadium passes through. Square Yards also lists a Rohini Sector 7 bus stop about a kilometre from the sector centre.
For tutors already in Rohini the trip is short. Square Yards puts Sector 8 about 1 km away, Sector 6 about 1.2 km and Sector 14 about 2.2 km, so a tutor from those sectors can often come by two-wheeler.
Most Sector 7 homes open straight onto a pocket lane rather than through a guarded gate, so the practical issues are finding the right door and parking.
If you would like a woman tutor, add that to your request; our woman home tutors in Delhi page explains how that preference is matched. Tutors who join go through an ID check, and the profile badge appears only after our team has reviewed the document; see how we check tutor IDs. It is not a police or background check.
Requests from Sector 7 are mostly for CBSE, with ICSE and ISC next. IB or IGCSE requests are less common here, and a family on one of those programmes will often take part of the work online.
For a home tutor the board matters less than the setting. In a compact DDA flat, a tutor teaching ICSE English or ISC Physics needs a quiet table and the school's own textbooks at hand, because CISCE papers lean on longer written answers. Share the school's book list on the first day. For the full picture of how the boards differ, see our CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE guide, and for CISCE subjects our ICSE home tutors in Delhi page.
Young children do well with short sittings several times a week. A tutor from Sector 8 or Sector 6 can manage that more easily than one crossing the city, so mention that you would like someone close by. Ask for reading aloud, handwriting and number sense, and keep the lesson before dinner rather than late in the evening.
These are the years when maths and science stop being simple sums and become chapters with reasoning. One tutor for both subjects, two or three times a week, often suffices. Hand over the school's recent worksheet so the tutor's practice follows the class. Our maths tuition at home in Delhi page explains what good weekly practice looks like.
Class 9 sets up the board year, so start a written plan then, not in Class 10. Ask the tutor to keep a running record of chapters taught, tested and revised, and to set one timed paper a month. Longer sessions of around ninety minutes give room to teach and then check.
Sector 7 senior students usually need a separate tutor for each main subject. For science, that may be Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology; for commerce, Accountancy and Economics often come from one tutor. Because three stations are close, a specialist from elsewhere in Delhi can realistically reach Sector 7 a few evenings a week; see Class 12 tutors who teach at home in Delhi.
Board papers for most Sector 7 students fall in the late-winter exam season, but trust only the date sheets on cbse.gov.in and cisce.org. In the weeks before, extra revision lessons are easier to fit if the tutor arrives before the evening crowding on Bhagwan Mahavir Marg, or on weekend mornings. Agree any extra classes, and how they are billed, before January.
A home tutor saves your child the evening trip and gives undivided attention. In Sector 7, where lanes are narrow and exits few, that saving matters more than in sectors with a station on the doorstep.
Online lessons make sense for a specialist subject, an IB or IGCSE paper, or entrance preparation, and for weeks when the household is busy. They also remove the parking question entirely. See online tutors across Delhi.
A coaching centre suits a child who likes working in a group and can travel independently. From Sector 7 that usually means a ride towards one of the station areas and back after dark, so check how late the last batch ends. Many families here keep a home tutor for school subjects and add one class elsewhere only where a specialist is needed.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Tutors set their own rates, and you see each one on the shortlist before the free demo. For a Sector 7 family, the class and subject decide most of the fee; the board and lesson length come next, then how many lessons a week.
Travel can play a small part. A tutor who has to find parking in a narrow pocket at peak hour may prefer fewer, longer sessions, while one from Sector 8 or 6 may be happy with short, frequent visits. Settle in advance how holidays, cancellations and extra exam-time classes are counted.
The DDA's park list shows a neighbourhood park of about 3.6 acres in Pocket D-16, and OpenStreetMap marks the D-10 park as well; either is a good spot for a short walk between study blocks. Swarn Jayanti Park, a DDA district park, lies beyond Sector 10. We found no public library inside Sector 7; the nearest public one we could confirm is the NDMC library in Sector 11.

Home lessons and online lessons each have their strengths, and a Rohini Sector 7 family does not have to choose just one. You might keep a home tutor for maths, where sitting together over working helps, and use an online tutor for economics or an IGCSE paper. Ask NXTutors and you will get two or three tutors for whichever arrangement you prefer.
Anyone who lives in Rohini Sector 7 or travels there appears first. If no one has added Sector 7 yet, the page draws in tutors from other parts of the Rohini zone, Rohini Sector 11 and Rohini Sector 13 among them, and beyond that from Delhi generally, from other NCR cities for home visits, and from online teaching. You can see on each card why it appears.
Before you book, ask each tutor how they plan a term, how they set homework and how they will keep you informed. The Delhi Maths home tutors page is useful for comparing profiles. Any tutor's opening lesson costs nothing, and you can read each tutor's fee in advance, so there is time to decide calmly. If your building keeps a visitor register, add the tutor's name once at the start.
