Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sector 5 is laid out in defined blocks with open spaces between them. Locality pages describe its housing as residential plots, builder floors and DDA housing blocks, and NoBroker's listings in the sector range from one-room units to four-bedroom homes, including independent houses and standalone buildings. Pocket addresses that appear in those listings include C-5, Pocket 6 and Pocket 9 in Sector 5B.
On OpenStreetMap, Rithala village sits inside the Sector 5 boundary, west of the station. Like other village settlements that Rohini grew around, its lanes and house numbers follow an older pattern than the planned blocks around it, so a written address may not be enough for a first-time visitor.
The sector also has a large hospital campus: a large cancer hospital gives its address as D-18, Sector 5, and OpenStreetMap marks a police post at Rithala station. For a tutor, either one is an easy reference point when you describe your lane.
What this means for tuition is simple. A builder floor or plotted house usually means a street door and a doorbell; a DDA block means a stairwell and a flat number; a village home means a map pin and, for the first visit, someone at the corner to meet the tutor.
We did not find resident reviews specific to Sector 5 on the portals we checked; NoBroker's review section for the sector is empty. The points below come from Rohini-wide reviews on Square Yards and are framed for a family near Rithala.
Rithala station stands on Bhagwan Mahavir Marg in Sector 5 and has been the Red Line's western terminus since it opened on 31 March 2004. Every Red Line train from the east ends here, so a tutor anywhere on that line, whether at Rohini West, Rohini East, Madhuban Chowk or further towards Shaheed Sthal, rides straight in without changing. From the platform, most homes in the sector are a walk or a short e-rickshaw ride.
When you send directions, say which side of Bhagwan Mahavir Marg your pocket is on and name a landmark near it, so a tutor leaving the station heads the right way at once instead of crossing the main road and back.
A tutor on the Magenta Line can change to the Red Line at Madhuban Chowk, although Wikipedia lists the connecting walkway there as still under construction. A tutor on the Yellow Line is better off coming by road.
Bhagwan Mahavir Marg is the sector's main road, linking it east to the rest of Rohini. A tutor who rides a two-wheeler from Sectors 3, 7, 10 or 11 has a short trip. We do not quote minutes; ask each tutor where they start and when they would leave for your slot.
A metro line from Rithala towards Bawana and Narela appears on OpenStreetMap only as proposed. Tutors from that northern direction come by road for now.
Being at the end of the Red Line changes the search. A tutor starting from anywhere along the line, even several sectors away, can reach Sector 5 without changing trains, so the pool of tutors who can reach you comfortably is wider here than in a sector away from a station. Tutors from Sectors 3, 7, 10 and 11, right next door, are the shortest trips of all.
NXTutors orders the shortlist by nearness: tutors in Sector 5 or travelling to it first, then the rest of Rohini, then wider Delhi, then online. Each profile shows where the tutor starts, so you can see at a glance who will walk from Rithala and who will ride in.
For a builder floor, tell the tutor which bell to press and who will come down to open the door. For a DDA block, send the block and flat number together, as blocks look alike. For a home in Rithala village, share a map pin and a landmark, and meet the tutor for the first visit if the lane is hard to find. If your pocket has a guard, pass on the tutor's name before the demo.
Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, and a profile's badge appears only after our team has reviewed that ID. The details are on how NXTutors checks tutors. It is not a police or background check, so keep an adult at home for the early sessions and hold lessons in a shared room. If you want a woman tutor, just say so when you send the request.
Most students in Sector 5, as across Delhi, are on CBSE, and NXTutors also matches tutors for ICSE, ISC, IB and Cambridge IGCSE. In a builder floor with a separate room, a home tutor can set up a proper study corner for board practice; in a smaller unit, an online session at a fixed hour can be quieter. For IB subjects, see IB tutors in Delhi; to compare the boards themselves, read our board comparison guide.
Ask for a tutor from the sector or the ones beside it, so classes can be short and frequent. Reading, handwriting and basic maths need regular, unhurried practice.
A tutor who arrives by Red Line can usually keep a fixed weekday slot. Use these years to build habits: homework checked, weekly tests, a short note to the parent. For maths, our maths tutors in Delhi page explains how matching works.
Look for a tutor who knows the current board pattern and sample papers and who plans around school tests. Ask at the demo how they would handle the topics your child finds hardest.
Subject depth comes first. For chemistry in particular, a specialist from further along the Red Line or online is often the better match; see chemistry home tutors in Delhi.
Writing, grammar and social science answers often need marking and feedback more than explanation. These subjects run well online in the evening, which leaves the home tutor's visits for maths and science.
For medical or engineering entrance preparation, pair school work with exam practice and check every notice on NTA's site. Our NEET tutor page covers what a home tutor can add.
For a board year, fix the tutor and the timetable before school pre-boards begin. With Rithala inside the sector, a tutor who comes by Red Line is less exposed to winter road delays than one who drives, which helps keep classes steady through fog season. Read exam dates only on the board's own website; IB sessions fall in May and November, and Cambridge series in March, June and November.
A home tutor is easy to arrange in Sector 5 because the Red Line delivers tutors to the sector's doorstep; it suits younger children and anyone who needs close attention. An online tutor suits a rare subject or level, or a senior student with a packed evening. A coaching centre suits a student who wants group pace and a fixed calendar, with a home tutor for doubts if needed. Use the free demo to test the mode before you commit.
One workable pattern for a Sector 5 family is to keep the home visits for the subject that needs a person at the table, and move a second subject online. That keeps the week manageable without adding another trip.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
In Sector 5, a fee moves within that range with the class, board, subject and number of sessions a week, and with the tutor's journey. A tutor who rides the Red Line to Rithala and walks to your door may charge differently from one who drives across Rohini. Every fee is on the profile before the free demo.
Inside the sector, DDA lists a play field, a park and woodland site, and parks with a water body at Rithala. Just north in Sector 11, NDMC's Palika Pustakalaya is a public library open to all, and DDA's Aarambh library in G Block offers paid study desks in shifts. Swarn Jayanti Park, a large DDA district park, is in neighbouring Sector 10.

Maths worries can build up slowly, chapter by chapter, until a test brings them out. If your child in Rohini Sector 5 is finding maths harder this year, tell NXTutors the class, the board and the topics that cause trouble. Two or three tutors comfortable with that class will be suggested, and none of them charges for the opening lesson.
A useful step before the demo is to gather a few recent test papers or homework pages. They show the tutor exactly where marks are lost, which saves time in the first sessions. For senior students heading towards engineering, the Delhi JEE home tutors page offers more choice, and online lessons can add a specialist for a single paper.
Within the Rohini zone, Rohini Sector 5 is listed with the general Rohini page and sectors such as Rohini Sector 7 and Rohini Sector 8. Tutors who live in Sector 5 or travel to it appear first on this page; tutors from the rest of the zone follow, then the wider capital, then any home tutor based in Noida, Faridabad or another NCR city, and online tutors last. A line on each card explains why that person is listed.
