What home tuition costs in Vadodara

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Physics home tutors by locality in Vadodara

Physics home tutor in Vadodara: one person who reads your child's working, line by line

Senior physics in Vadodara is rarely a single exam. A Class 11 or 12 student may be writing a CBSE, ISC or Gujarat board HSC Science paper, preparing for JEE or NEET, and keeping GUJCET in mind as well, often with a coaching timetable on top. Lectures are not usually what is missing. What is missing is someone who sits beside the student, reads the working and finds the one step that keeps going wrong. NXTutors proposes two or three physics tutors who know your child's target exam and can reach your locality at the hour you need. You see their fees first, and the opening lesson is a free demo.

Which exam is the physics tutor preparing your child for?

The chapters overlap, but each exam pays for something different. Agree the main target in the first week, and let the practice the tutor sets follow from it.

Senior physics targets for Vadodara students: how physics is examined and what a tutor should prioritise
TargetHow physics is examinedPriority in tuition
CBSE Class 12 physics (042)A 70-mark theory paper with 33 compulsory questions, plus 30 marks of practical work; no calculatorDerivations, labelled diagrams and case-based reading
GSEB HSC ScienceSet by the Gujarat board; take the current design from its official sitesThe state textbook in the student's medium, and the board's own papers
JEE Main, as set in 202625 physics questions out of 75, five of them numerical-answer; +4 for a right answer, −1 for a wrong oneMulti-step problems under time, then every error reviewed
JEE AdvancedFor 2026, only the first 2,50,000 JEE Main candidates were eligible; the paper is set by the organising instituteProblems that join several ideas; earlier Advanced papers
NEET (UG), as held in 202645 of 180 questions and 180 of 720 marks, on pen and paper; +4 and −1NCERT-level accuracy and fewer guesses

Entrance syllabi are published by the conducting body, not the school board, and can keep topics a board has dropped; check the current bulletin on nta.ac.in before crossing anything off. For chapter priorities, see our JEE physics plan, topic by topic and the high-yield NEET physics chapters; the JEE physics tutor and NEET physics tutor pages explain how we match.

How are the 70 theory marks spread in CBSE Class 12 physics?

The 2026-27 sample paper keeps the previous session's design. Fourteen NCERT chapters are grouped into four blocks for marking, and the weights tell a tutor where the year's effort should go:

  1. Electricity and magnetism, 33 marks. Electrostatics through to alternating current: almost half the paper, and the place to start early.
  2. Optics and electromagnetic waves, 18 marks. Ray diagrams decide many of these marks, so they need regular, careful drawing.
  3. Modern physics, 12 marks. Dual nature, atoms and nuclei, mostly through short numericals.
  4. Semiconductor electronics, 7 marks. Transistors and logic gates are no longer in the syllabus, so notes that still teach them are out of date.

The 33 questions run through five lettered sections: sixteen worth one mark each in A (a dozen with options, four of the assertion–reason type), five worth two in B, seven worth three in C, a pair of four-mark case studies in D, and three five-mark long answers in E. Recall alone earns only around 38% of the paper. Values of constants appear on the paper, and no calculator may be used. There is a single main board exam in Class 12; watch cbse.gov.in for the 2027 timetable. Our Class 12 physics strategies collect the derivations that keep returning, and the Class 12 physics tutor page sets out a board-year plan.

Can the 30 practical marks be prepared at home?

Much of them, yes. The largest piece is the pair of experiments done on the day, one per section and worth 7 apiece. The viva and the practical record bring 5 marks each, while an activity and the investigatory project add 3 each. To be complete, the record needs no fewer than eight experiments split evenly across the two sections, six or more activities (again half from each), and the write-up of the project.

Nobody can bring a school lab home. What a tutor can do at the kitchen table is go through the record page by page (aim, diagram, observation table), make the precautions and likely errors second nature, and hold a practice viva: why repeat a reading, what the slope of a graph stands for, what would change with a longer wire. Coaching batches rarely spend time here, so it is an easy place for a strong student to drop marks.

What about physics for GSEB HSC Science and GUJCET?

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board runs the HSC examinations at Standard 12 in Science and General streams, and it also conducts GUJCET, the state's entrance test. It sets its own syllabus and paper designs and publishes a question bank for Standards 9 to 12, along with past and model papers on gsebeservice.com. We do not reproduce any GSEB or GUJCET pattern here; families should read the current notices on the board's sites.

What to ask for is simpler. A tutor for an HSC Science student should teach from the prescribed textbook, explain in Gujarati or English as your child needs, practise from the board's own material, and still build the diagram-first, units-on-every-line habit that JEE and NEET reward. Our Gujarat Board tutor page for Vadodara covers HSC in more depth.

If your child already attends coaching, what should a home tutor add?

A home tutor who repeats the coaching lecture wastes everyone's evening. Three jobs are usually left undone in a coaching week, and they are where a tutor earns the fee:

  • The backlog. Batch classes move at the pace of the room. Unsolved sheet problems and examples copied without understanding pile up, and a home session can clear them one by one.
  • The board paper. Coaching aims at entrance questions; board marks need full derivations, labelled diagrams and practical preparation. One session a week can keep that side alive.
  • The written method. Every solution laid out in one fixed order: a sketch with directions shown, the governing law stated in a sentence, numbers substituted with their units, and a last look at whether the answer's sign and size are sensible.

Our articles on JEE coaching or a home tutor and on the same choice for NEET weigh the options.

How should a tutor go through a mock test with your child?

A mock score on its own says very little. The useful exercise is to sort every lost mark into one of three heaps: a concept the student does not yet hold, a slip in a step the student does understand, and a question that should have been left alone. Each heap needs a different plan for the next week: re-teaching for the first, slower written practice for the second, and better question selection for the third. Bring the two latest tests along to the free demo. Someone who really knows physics will read through them and point to the weakest step before introducing a single new idea.

ISC, IB or IGCSE physics, and when is the right time to start?

IB Diploma
The current guide, examined for the first time in May 2025, organises physics into five themes labelled by letter and drops both the options and Paper 3. Written exams make up four-fifths of the final grade; the last fifth is an investigation that the student must plan and write up independently. Our IB physics guide for SL and HL has the detail.
ISC
CISCE assesses practical work and a project alongside the theory paper and looks for fuller reasoning than a one-line answer. Make sure the tutor knows your exam year's syllabus.
Cambridge IGCSE
Entered at Core or Extended level. Students who then join an Indian board for Class 11 often need a few extra weeks on vectors and on reading graphs.

On timing, Class 11 is usually the easiest time to start, because mechanics leans on vectors and graphs that run through all of Class 12. See the Class 11 physics tutor page and our guide to choosing a stream.

Can a physics tutor reach you in the evening? Six Vadodara localities

Senior students often get home late from school or coaching, which pushes physics into the evening. Whether that slot holds depends on the tutor's route. Every locality is on our Vadodara page.

The station side and the old city

Sayajigunj holds Vadodara Junction and the Central Bus Stand, so it is one of the simplest places in the city for a tutor to reach. Homes are mostly flats in older buildings; give directions to the entrance and floor, and say where a two-wheeler can stand. In Raopura, market streets are crowded in the evening, so an earlier slot or a weekend session travels better; the clock tower is the landmark to start from.

North: student lanes and a long main road

Fatehgunj has flats and independent houses and a large student population, so some tutors there are still studying themselves; for JEE or NEET physics, ask about recent experience with that exam. In Sama and New Sama, Sama-Savli Road is the main artery and busy in the evening; gated complexes need the tutor's name, tower and flat number at the desk.

The edges: north-west and north-east

Gorwa grew around an industrial estate, and roads near the estate and the vegetable market are busiest at shift changes; housing board lanes look alike, so send the block and house number. Harni, by the airport, mixes gated flats and standalone houses, and Harni Road is the way in; a tutor from Karelibaug or Ajwa Road tends to keep a late slot most reliably.

When coaching runs late, switch that evening's lesson to an online session with the same tutor rather than asking anyone to cross the city at night.

What does a physics home tutor in Vadodara charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees, which depend on the target (board paper, JEE Main, JEE Advanced or NEET), their experience with it, how late the trip to your locality falls, and the lessons booked each week. Every fee is shown before the demo, and the Vadodara home tuition fees article lists questions to ask.

How do you ask for a physics shortlist in Vadodara?

Tell us the class, the board (and the medium for HSC), the main target, the days coaching runs, your locality with a landmark, and the evenings that are still free. You receive two or three physics tutors with their fees and choose whom to meet at the free demo. If the first tutor is wrong for your child, a second demo follows, and any change of tutor later costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID (see how we check tutors). If nobody suitable can come at that hour, we offer an online or part-online plan. NXTutors, based in Sector 66, Gurugram, teaches online across India; the national physics home tutor page covers other cities, and chemistry tutors in Vadodara have their own page.

Physics teachers who live in Vadodara and want students close by can find current requests on the Vadodara tuition jobs page.

Physics Home Tutor in Vadodara: common questions

What per-hour fee do Vadodara families usually pay a physics tutor at home?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each Vadodara physics tutor sets their own rate by target exam, experience, how late the trip falls and lessons per week, and every fee is shown before the free demo.

Can a Vadodara physics tutor teach GSEB HSC Science in Gujarati or English?

Yes, a Vadodara physics tutor can teach GSEB HSC Science from the prescribed textbook in Gujarati or English, as your child needs. Practice should use the board's question bank and its past and model papers on gsebeservice.com. The board revises its own design, so confirm current details on its official sites.

What should a home physics tutor add for a Vadodara student already in JEE coaching?

A home physics tutor should add three things a Vadodara coaching week rarely covers: clearing unsolved sheet problems, keeping board derivations and practicals on track, and reviewing each mock. Every solution should follow one written method: sketch, law stated, numbers with units, then a sense check. Ask at the demo how they would divide a week.

Which block of CBSE Class 12 physics should a Vadodara student start on early?

A Vadodara CBSE Class 12 student should start early on electricity and magnetism, worth 33 of the 70 theory marks. Optics with electromagnetic waves carries 18, modern physics 12 and semiconductor electronics 7. The paper has 33 compulsory questions in five sections, with constants given and no calculator.

How much of CBSE Class 12 physics practical work can a Vadodara tutor prepare at home?

A Vadodara tutor can prepare much of the 30 CBSE Class 12 physics practical marks at home, though the apparatus stays at school. Two experiments earn 7 each; the record and viva carry 5 each; an activity and the project carry 3 each. The tutor checks the record page by page and runs practice vivas.

How does NEET physics differ from board physics for a Vadodara aspirant?

For a Vadodara aspirant, NEET physics as held in 2026 was 45 of 180 questions, worth 180 of 720 marks, on pen and paper. A right answer earned four marks and a wrong one cost a mark. Accuracy on NCERT-level ideas and fewer guesses matter more than long derivations; check the current bulletin.

How should a Vadodara physics tutor go through a mock test with my child?

A Vadodara physics tutor should sort every lost mock mark into three heaps, each with its own plan. A concept not yet held needs re-teaching; a slip in an understood step needs slower written practice; a question that should have been left alone needs better selection. Bring the two latest tests to the free demo.

What changes for a Vadodara student taking IB, ISC or IGCSE physics?

For a Vadodara IB physics student, the current guide uses five lettered themes, drops the options and Paper 3, and gives a fifth of the grade to an independent investigation. ISC assesses practical work and a project alongside theory. IGCSE students joining an Indian board in Class 11 often need extra weeks on vectors and graphs.

Can a physics tutor reach Fatehgunj, Sama or Harni for late evening lessons?

Often yes, a physics tutor living in north Vadodara can reach Fatehgunj, Sama or Harni late in the evening. Sama-Savli Road gets busy then, and gated complexes need the tutor's name, tower and flat number. On days when coaching overruns, an online lesson with the same tutor keeps the week intact.

Which year should a Vadodara student begin physics tuition?

A Vadodara student usually does well to begin physics tuition in Class 11, since mechanics relies on vectors and graphs that run through Class 12. Gaps left early cost marks later in both board papers and entrance tests. Starting in the board year is still possible, but leaves less room for catching up.

How do we get a shortlist of physics tutors in Vadodara and try one?

To get a physics shortlist in Vadodara, send the class, board and medium, main target, coaching days, locality with a landmark and free evenings. We send two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
