What home tuition costs in Warangal

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

ICSE and ISC home tutors in Warangal: English-heavy papers, three sciences and a careful choice after Class 10

ICSE families in the Warangal tri-city are a smaller group than State Board or CBSE families, and that shapes tuition in two ways. A tutor who knows the council's papers well may not live round the corner, and the choice after Class 10, between ISC, CBSE and the state's Intermediate course, is a real one here. CISCE papers ask for long written answers in English, split Class 10 science into three papers and, in the ISC years, add practicals and project work in most subjects. Below: the structure, where a tutor moves marks, the options after Class 10, travel to six localities and what to test in the free demo. Abhinandan Tiwary wrote the ICSE maths advice, Aaditya Kashyap the science advice and Ajay Vatsyayan the notes on ISC maths.

What makes a CISCE paper different

We hold no reliable count of Warangal schools on the council's syllabus, so this page makes no claim about numbers. What we can say is how CISCE papers differ from the two boards most local tutors teach. The State Board SSC and CBSE Class 10 both mix objective items with shorter written answers. ICSE leans further towards extended writing in English, in history and geography as much as in English itself, and it uses its own prescribed texts rather than NCERT. After every exam season the council publishes an Analysis of Pupil Performance, a subject-by-subject account of where candidates lost marks. A tutor who reads those reports and the council's specimen papers teaches to the real standard; a tutor who only knows State Board or CBSE papers may not.

The three ICSE subject groups for Class 10

How the ICSE regulations divide Class 10 subjects
Group and ruleTypical subjectsExam share and school share
I: taken by every candidateEnglish; a second language; History, Civics and Geography80 and 20
II: the student picks two or threeMathematics and Science for most; Economics, Commercial Studies, Environmental Science and extra languages are among the others80 and 20
III: the student picks oneApplied subjects, for example Computer Applications, Physical Education or Art50 and 50

The Group III subject earns half its marks from work done through the year. Those are the easiest marks on the certificate to secure and the easiest to lose, simply by letting projects slide until the last term. A tutor can keep a dated list and check it monthly, without doing the work for the student.

Maths, physics, chemistry and biology: four papers to plan

In maths the written paper is worth 80. The other 20 come from two or more assignments, which the subject teacher and an outside examiner both assess. The syllabus puts commercial arithmetic, including banking and shares, beside algebra, trigonometry, geometry and statistics. Examiners credit each stage of working, so a correct final line with missing steps still costs marks. Abhinandan's advice for Class 10 is to have the student write every step from the first week, even when the step feels obvious.

Science is not one subject at this level. Physics, chemistry and biology are examined in their own papers, 80 marks apiece, and each adds 20 marks for practical work done in school. A strong chemistry mark does not rescue a weak biology one. Aaditya's suggestion is to find out early which of the three is weakest and decide whether one tutor can cover all three properly or whether that subject needs its own specialist. For subject pages, see our Warangal maths, science and English tutors.

Telugu in an ICSE school

A state law of 2018 on the compulsory teaching and learning of Telugu applies to ICSE schools too: from Class 1 up to Class 10, every school in Telangana must teach Telugu, whichever board it follows. For an ICSE student this sits alongside the council's own second-language paper. Children from Telugu-speaking homes usually manage well, though some have spoken Telugu far more than they have written it. Families who have moved to Warangal from another state may want extra help with written Telugu. Ask the school how the language is assessed in your child's class, and tell us if you need that support.

Training for long answers, steadily

Speed in extended writing is built over two years, not in the final term. A useful ICSE routine has four parts:

  • A rotating revision calendar. Every few weeks, one session returns to an older chapter in each paper, because Class 9 chapters reappear in Class 10.
  • Timed answers from Class 9. One long answer per session, written against the clock and marked line by line.
  • Diagrams and maps drawn from memory. Labelled, checked and redrawn until they are right, in biology, physics and geography alike.
  • The council's own reports. Specimen papers and the Analysis of Pupil Performance guide what the tutor marks for.

Many Warangal children think in Telugu and write in English. A tutor can explain an idea in Telugu, then insist the answer is written in full, clear English, which is what the examiner will read.

Five ISC regulations that catch families out

  • How many subjects: English is compulsory; beside it come between three and five electives, and the total cannot pass six.
  • When choices lock: the regulations name a cut-off in the year of Class 11 registration, after which the combination stays. Nothing can be offered in Class 12 that was not studied in Class 11.
  • Moving into Class 12: a student needs 35% in four subjects, one of them English, and attendance of at least 75%.
  • Practical work: required in every subject that has a practical, and Engineering Science cannot be combined with Physics.
  • The final certificate: results are graded 1 to 9. Passing means four subjects including English, together with Socially Useful Productive Work and Community Service.

In ISC maths, 20 of the 100 marks in each year come from a project and 80 from the theory paper. Ajay's note for ISC maths is to treat the project as part of the course from the first month rather than a task for the holidays. Our ISC maths tutor page goes into the paper.

After Class 10: ISC, CBSE or Telangana Intermediate

Three paths for a Warangal student finishing ICSE
PathWhat changesWhat a tutor watches
ISCThe same answer style, deeper electives, more practical and project workElective choice before it is locked; project dates
CBSE Classes 11–12NCERT texts, CBSE sample papers, shorter answers closer to the bookGaps between ICSE and NCERT chapters in the first term
Telangana IntermediateMaths as IA and IB, then IIA and IIB; internal assessment in first-year subjects from 2026-27The new paper pattern and the activity and practical records

Entrance plans often decide the path. The national entrance syllabi for JEE (Main) and NEET (UG) rest on NCERT content, and the TG EAPCET syllabus says it is in tune with the Intermediate course, so an ISC student aiming at either will need a map of where the two chapter orders differ. See our JEE, NEET, CBSE and Telangana Board pages for Warangal; our board and stream guide may also help.

How ICSE tutors reach six Warangal localities

  • Madikonda: on the western edge along National Highway 163, where fewer tutors live close by. Many families keep one home subject and take an ISC elective online.
  • Bapuji Nagar: a main Kazipet locality; say how far the house is from the main road and name a nearby bank or shop.
  • Kareemabad: between Kazipet and the old city, so tutors come from both sides; mention if the house is upstairs.
  • Kashibugga: close lanes near Narsampet Road; give the lane name and a pin. Many homes speak Telugu, so English writing practice is a frequent request.
  • Deshaipet: spread-out streets along Desaipet Road; give the nearest junction and any gate name.
  • Shambunipet: on the southern side near Fort Road, with Warangal Fort as the familiar landmark; name the lane and the turn.

For each side of the city there is a zone page with timing notes: Kazipet and Madikonda, Kashibugga and Enumamula, and Shiva Nagar and Fort Road; and our Warangal home tuition guide covers the tri-city.

Home or online for ICSE in Warangal?

Because CISCE specialists are fewer, online lessons matter more for ICSE families than for most. A common arrangement keeps a home tutor for maths and the sciences, where working and diagrams need watching, and adds an online tutor for literature, an ISC elective or a second language, chosen from anywhere in India. Long answers can be photographed and marked on screen between sessions. Our online tuition in Warangal page explains the set-up, and the ICSE and ISC board page describes the council in full.

Checking an ICSE tutor in the trial class

  1. Hand over a long answer your child wrote recently; a good tutor marks it on the spot and says why each mark went.
  2. Ask which Analysis of Pupil Performance report they last read, and what it said about your child's weakest subject.
  3. For Class 10, ask how they will cover three separate science papers.
  4. For ISC, ask how they handle the project and practical calendar.
  5. If your child may leave ICSE after Class 10, ask whether the tutor knows CBSE or the Intermediate pattern too.

We send two or three matched tutors, each with the fee shown before the demo; the first class is free, and a later change of tutor is free too. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how we check tutors).

ICSE tuition fees and the first request

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. For ICSE and ISC in Warangal, the stage, the number of papers and whether a specialist teaches online all shape the fee. The pricing guide and our article on home tuition fees in Warangal explain more.

Send the class, the ICSE or ISC subjects, your colony with a landmark and your free hours, and book a free demo. You can read tutor profiles, find every locality on the Warangal home tutors page, or, if you teach CISCE subjects, see tuition jobs in Warangal.

ICSE Home Tutor in Warangal (ICSE & ISC, Classes 6–12): common questions

How much do ICSE and ISC home tutors charge in Warangal?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. ICSE and ISC tutors in Warangal set their own rates, shown before the demo. An online specialist for one elective may be part of the mix.

How do I ask for ICSE tutor options for my child in the Warangal tri-city?

Send the class, the ICSE or ISC subjects, your colony with a landmark and your free hours, and we reply with two or three matched tutors. Each fee is visible before the first class, which is a free demo. Changing tutor later costs nothing if the fit is wrong.

Why can it be harder to find an ICSE tutor in Warangal than a State Board tutor?

It can be harder because most local tutors teach the Telangana State Board or CBSE, and CISCE papers need a different marking standard. Many Warangal ICSE families keep a home tutor for maths and science and add an online specialist for literature, a second language or an ISC elective.

Does an ICSE school in Telangana teach Telugu?

Yes, an ICSE school in Telangana teaches Telugu, because a 2018 state Act makes it compulsory from Class 1 to Class 10 in every school, whatever the board. Families who have moved from another state can ask for a tutor who also supports written Telugu alongside the main subjects.

How are the ICSE Class 10 science papers marked?

ICSE Class 10 science is marked as three separate papers, physics, chemistry and biology, each with an 80-mark written paper and 20 marks of internal practical work. A strong mark in one does not cover a weak mark in another, so find out early which of the three needs the most help.

Can a Warangal ISC student change electives after starting Class 11?

Only until a cut-off, because ISC subject choices become fixed after a date set in the council's regulations during the Class 11 registration year. After that the combination cannot change, and no subject can be taken in Class 12 unless it was studied in Class 11. Choose electives carefully, with entrance plans in mind.

Should a Warangal ICSE student choose ISC, CBSE or Intermediate after Class 10?

The right path after ICSE Class 10 depends on the student's subjects, entrance plans and travel. ISC keeps the same answer style with deeper electives. CBSE moves to NCERT texts, which JEE Main and NEET build on. Telangana Intermediate splits maths into IA, IB, IIA and IIB, and the TG EAPCET syllabus is framed on it.

How do ICSE tutors reach Madikonda, Kareemabad or Shambunipet?

ICSE tutors reach Madikonda most easily from the Kazipet side, Kareemabad from either Kazipet or the old city, and Shambunipet from around Fort Road. Fewer tutors live near Madikonda, so many families there take one subject online. Give the lane name, a landmark and a location pin before the first visit.

What should an ICSE tutor do with the Analysis of Pupil Performance reports?

An ICSE tutor should use the council's Analysis of Pupil Performance reports to see where candidates lost marks in each subject, then mark your child's answers against those points. Ask in the demo which report the tutor last read and what it said about your child's weakest subject.
