Home Tuition Fees in Warangal (2026): Hanamkonda, Kazipet or the Old City, and Where the Tutor Starts From

By NXTutors Academic Team 11 min read

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. In Warangal each tutor names a personal rate, and you see it on your shortlist before any demo is booked.

Warangal is really three towns that grew into one: Hanamkonda, Kazipet and the older city of Warangal, joined by National Highway 163. When parents here talk about a tutor, one of the first things they ask is which of the three the tutor lives in. That question does not set the fee band, but it shapes nearly everything else about the arrangement: which days work, how long each visit should be, and what happens on a day the tutor cannot come. This post walks through it town by town.

Three towns, one fee band

The band in the first paragraph applies across the whole tri-city. There is no Hanamkonda rate, no Kazipet rate and no Warangal rate. What a tutor charges follows the class, the subject and their own experience, and they choose that figure themselves.

What does change from town to town is the trip. A tutor who lives two colonies away can come for a short hour on four weekdays. A tutor setting out from the far side of the tri-city may prefer fewer, longer visits, or a mix of home and online classes. Both can be good choices. The point is to talk about the starting point openly, before the fee, so the plan you agree is one the tutor can keep all term.

A quick picture of the three parts, as families tend to describe them:

  • Hanamkonda: the district headquarters town, with the busy centre around Nakkalagutta, close-set colonies such as Subedari and Gokul Nagar, and a quieter north-western side towards Gopalapuram, Bheemaram and Hasanparthy.
  • Kazipet: the junction town, with railway colonies, Bapuji Nagar and Kadipikonda beside the junction, Fathima Nagar on the side facing Hanamkonda, and Madikonda further west on the highway from Hyderabad.
  • Warangal: the older city, with Shiva Nagar, Kareemabad, Rangasaipet and Shambunipet on the southern side around Fort Road and Hunter Road, and Kashibugga, Deshaipet and Enumamula to the north-east.

Where the tutor sets out from: six common trips

Most tri-city arrangements fit one of these patterns. Use the question in your row with each tutor on the shortlist.

The tripWhat usually helpsQuestion for the fee talk
Within central HanamkondaShort weekday visits; the colonies sit close togetherCould we take more, shorter classes instead of two long ones?
Hanamkonda to the Kazipet sideFathima Nagar is the easy end; give the cross road clearlyIs your rate the same for a Kazipet home as for Hanamkonda?
Within Kazipet, or out to MadikondaThe quarter or house number, the gate to use and a map pinWhich weekdays can you keep every week, including near exams?
Across the old city of WarangalA known point on Fort Road, Hunter Road or Narsampet RoadHow is a class made up if you are held up on the way?
Between Warangal and HanamkondaFewer, longer visits, or one weekday class onlineIf one weekly class moves online, is it charged the same way?
Out to Gopalapuram, Bheemaram or HasanparthyA fixed late-afternoon slot and a location pinWould a home class plus an online class suit you better than daily visits?

No row is cheaper than another; each is a prompt, so every tutor answers the same question and replies compare fairly. General rate factors are in the NXTutors pricing guide.

Four questions about the starting point

Ask these in your first message after you see the shortlist.

  1. Where will you be coming from on our day? Not only where the tutor lives, but where they will be just before your slot. A tutor finishing another lesson in Kazipet is effectively a Kazipet tutor that evening.
  2. Is your rate the same for every part of the tri-city? The band is the same everywhere, and most tutors keep one rate. It still helps to hear it said plainly, so nothing surprises you after the demo.
  3. Which days can you promise for the whole term? A tutor who can manage only two fixed days from across town is often more useful than one who offers four and keeps three.
  4. What happens on a day you cannot reach us? Agree whether that class moves online, shifts to another day or is simply skipped, and how each is counted.

When the tutor lives on your side of town

A nearby tutor gives you room to shape the week. Younger children often do better with four short afternoon classes than with two long ones, and a tutor from the same part of Hanamkonda or Kazipet can manage that. Rescheduling is easier too: a class moved by an hour is a small thing when the trip is short.

The question here is length, not distance: agree how long each class runs, how many you need each week now, and when you will look at that number again.

When the tutor comes from another town

Sometimes the right tutor lives across the tri-city. A Class 12 student in Shambunipet may find the physics teacher they want in Hanamkonda, or a family in Madikonda may prefer a maths tutor from the old city. That is a sensible trade when the tutor fits the subject well.

In that case, plan around the trip rather than against it:

  • Fewer visits, with a clear purpose. Two fixed visits a week, each with a set job such as one chapter or one timed paper, often work better than three hurried ones.
  • A weekday class online. Keep the home visit for written practice and checking notebooks, and move a doubt session online on a busy weekday.
  • Weekends for longer work. A weekend morning suits a full practice paper, when nobody is racing home from school or junior college.
  • A clear rule for late starts. Decide whether a late class runs on, is shortened or is made up later.

SSC and Intermediate: board questions, not price questions

Families in the tri-city mostly study under the Telangana State Board or CBSE, with some on other boards. The board shapes what you ask a tutor; it does not set the rate.

  • Class 10, State Board: the SSC public examinations are conducted by the Directorate of Government Examinations, Telangana, through bse.telangana.gov.in. Its site shows results as grades and lists the advanced supplementary examination held in June. Ask how the tutor spreads revision across subjects, and how they would plan if another attempt is needed. See Telangana board tutors in Warangal.
  • Intermediate, Classes 11 and 12: the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (tgbie.cgg.gov.in) runs the First Year and Second Year examinations. Maths is split into papers IA and IB in the first year and IIA and IIB in the second, so ask which papers the tutor has taught recently. Subject pages: maths, physics, chemistry and biology.
  • CBSE: ask how NCERT exercises and sample papers fit across the year. See CBSE home tutors in Warangal.
  • ICSE and ISC: ask how the tutor handles longer written answers. See ICSE tutors in Warangal.
  • Entrance tests: JEE (Main) and NEET (UG) are conducted by the National Testing Agency, nta.ac.in. Ask how the tutor keeps board answers and entrance practice in balance. See JEE and NEET home tutors in Warangal.

For younger classes, science and English are frequent requests, especially where a child speaks Telugu at home and writes exams in English.

Your zone and the town it belongs to

Each zone sits in one of the three towns. The table shows what to send with your request so a tutor from anywhere in the tri-city can find you on the first visit.

A starting-point note you can copy

After the free demo, once you have chosen a tutor, send one short message and ask them to confirm it. Fill in the brackets:

  1. Student: [class, board and subject, for example Intermediate First Year maths IA, Telangana Board]
  2. Our address: [locality, lane or colony, house or quarter number, and the landmark you will use]
  3. Tutor sets out from: [the part of the tri-city the tutor will usually come from]
  4. Rate and length: [the tutor's rate] for each class of [agreed length]
  5. Weekly pattern: [fixed days and time], with [which class, if any, is online]
  6. If the tutor cannot reach us: [moves online, shifts to another day, or is skipped, and how it is counted]
  7. Exam months: [what changes before the SSC or Intermediate examinations, and how extra classes are charged]
  8. First review: [a date, or the next school test, after which you look at the plan again]

Where online classes fit

Online tutors on NXTutors set their own rates in the same band. In the tri-city, online classes are most useful in three cases: when the right tutor lives in another town and a weekday trip is hard; when a specialist is not available nearby at all; and when a student's only free slot is late in the evening after junior college. Many families keep one home tutor for the subject that needs written checking and add an online class for another. Our comparison of home and online tutors lays out the trade-offs, and online tuition in Warangal explains how it works for students here.

If a wider search makes sense, families sometimes look at tutors based in Hyderabad for online classes in a specialist subject. Hyderabad parents can read home tuition fees in Hyderabad for that city's own notes.

How NXTutors can help

Tell us the class, board, subjects and your locality in the tri-city. We send two or three matched tutors, nearest first, then from your zone and the rest of Warangal, and online tutors from across India where they suit the subject better. Each tutor's fee is on the shortlist before the demo, the first class with every tutor is a free demo, and switching tutor later costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete, as explained on how we check tutors.

Start at home tutors in Warangal, keep the parents' demo checklist open during the first class, and book a free demo class. Teachers living in Hanamkonda, Kazipet or Warangal can see family requests on Warangal tuition jobs; joining is free.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a home tutor charge per hour in Warangal?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. In Warangal, Hanamkonda and Kazipet alike, each tutor chooses a personal rate, shown on your shortlist before the demo.

Does a tutor from Hanamkonda charge more to teach in Kazipet or Warangal?

No part of the tri-city has its own fee band, so a Hanamkonda tutor teaching in Kazipet or Warangal works within the same band. Each tutor sets one personal rate, and most keep it for every home. Ask plainly whether the rate is the same for your address, and agree the weekly pattern the trip allows.

Is it better to choose a tutor from our own part of the tri-city?

A tutor from your own part of the tri-city is often easier for short, frequent classes, but not always the better choice. If the right subject teacher lives in another town, plan fewer, longer visits or move one weekday class online. Judge the fit at the free demo before you settle the pattern.

What should we agree if the tutor cannot reach our home on a class day?

Agree in advance whether a class the tutor cannot reach moves online, shifts to another day or is skipped, and how each case is counted. Put it in the short note you send after choosing the tutor. That way a busy evening or a family event does not turn into a disagreement later.

Do Telangana State Board students pay a different rate from CBSE students?

Telangana State Board students do not pay a different rate by rule, because a tutor's fee follows the class, the subject and their experience more than the board. Ask instead which papers they have taught recently, such as SSC subjects in Class 10 or Intermediate maths IA, IB, IIA and IIB.

Can we change our Warangal tutor if the arrangement does not work?

Yes, you can change your Warangal tutor at no charge on NXTutors. Give the current tutor the notice you agreed, then ask us for a fresh shortlist and say what did not work, such as the days, the trip or the teaching style. The first class with each new tutor is again a free demo.
