Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

A science student in Kalaburagi (Gulbarga) who wants an engineering seat rarely has just one exam in view. The II PUC or Class 12 board comes first and is written out in full. The Karnataka CET decides state seats for many. JEE Main, and for some JEE Advanced, is added to both. The chapters are largely shared; the habits each paper rewards are not. A home tutor earns the fee when the family knows exactly which habit the tutor is meant to build. Below you will find the two JEE papers in brief, how to divide a week between the exams, what each subject needs, the PU practicals, a two-year outline, help for weak Class 11 chapters, six localities from Sedam Road to the west side, and what to look for in a free demo. For both JEE papers in detail, see the national JEE home tutor page.
The NTA's JEE Main bulletin for 2026 described Paper 1 as a computer-based test with three subjects: mathematics, physics and chemistry. Every subject carried 20 multiple-choice questions and 5 questions with a numerical answer, which makes 75 questions for 300 marks. A right answer earned four marks, and a wrong one lost a mark in both sections. There were two sessions, the better score was used, and the paper came in 13 languages.
The JEE Advanced 2026 brochure listed two compulsory papers in English or Hindi, allowed no more than two attempts in consecutive years, and opened the exam only to candidates qualifying through JEE Main under its rules. Each cycle can change details, so plan from the current documents on jeemain.nta.nic.in and jeeadv.ac.in.
| Paper | What earns marks | Practice the tutor sets |
|---|---|---|
| II PUC or Class 12 board | Answers written in order, derivations, labelled figures | One written paper section a week, marked against the blueprint |
| Karnataka CET | Accurate recall across the whole PU syllabus | Short mixed quizzes covering many chapters at once |
| JEE Main | Speed and accuracy, with a penalty for wrong answers | Timed sets, choosing what to skip, numerical answers checked twice |
| JEE Advanced | Long chains of reasoning across chapters | A few hard problems per session, discussed slowly |
No single hour serves all four. Give each kind of practice a fixed slot, and review the split each term as exams come closer. The Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the CET; its current bulletin is the only reliable source for the rules. Our KCET tutor page for Bengaluru discusses the state test at more length.
Mathematics is where JEE plans most often stall, because exam problems sit a long way above textbook exercises. A capable maths tutor states the chapter's key results, then sets a couple of problems that use them in a way the student has not seen, and asks why one method beats another. Weak Class 11 algebra and functions show up again in calculus and coordinate geometry. More on our maths home tutors in Kalaburagi page.
Physics improves when the tutor watches the working rather than explaining from the board. Pick a problem the student abandoned, find the point where the set-up went wrong, then run a short timed set on the same idea. The course leans hardest on mechanics and electricity. The city's physics tutor page and the national JEE physics tutor page go further.
Chemistry has three branches that behave differently. Physical chemistry is numerical and is coached like physics. Inorganic chemistry rests on NCERT facts and periodic trends, kept fresh by quick recall checks. Organic chemistry asks for reagents learnt by heart and mechanisms that make sense. Students often need help in just one branch; name it in the request. See the chemistry tutors in Kalaburagi page and our article on JEE chemistry branch by branch.
JEE has no practical, but II PUC does. The board's chemistry scheme lists 22 experiments for the year, from titrations and salt analysis to rates of reaction, enthalpy changes, chromatography and preparations. The two-hour exam itself picks two: a salt analysis worth 10 marks and a permanganate titration worth 10, with 5 more for attendance and 5 for the record. Physics gives 20 of its 30 marks to performing one experiment. An engineering aspirant who ignores the lab all year can lose easy board marks, so ask the tutor to check the record once a month. The Karnataka Board tutors in Kalaburagi page covers the board side.
Plenty of JEE students attend a batch and look for a tutor to supply what a full room cannot give one person. The tutor's list should then come straight from the class: problems left unsolved, test questions marked wrong, chapters that were rushed. Starting a parallel syllabus only adds load. A weekly note from the student on the chapters done in class and the doubts still open keeps both in step. NXTutors arranges one-to-one tutoring only, at home or online; whether to join a class is the family's choice. Our article on JEE coaching or a home tutor compares the two.
| Stage | Aim | How the tutor's time is used |
|---|---|---|
| Start of I PUC or Class 11 | Algebra, vectors and the mole concept made solid | Mostly home sessions rebuilding ideas from the ground |
| Rest of I PUC or Class 11 | Entrance-style problems on each finished chapter | Home sessions, plus one shorter problem slot on screen |
| II PUC or Class 12, up to the board | Board answers and practicals kept up while JEE work continues | One slot for written answers, the others for timed sets |
| After the board | Full mock papers and review of every lost mark | Mocks taken alone, reviewed together |
For the board slot, the tutor should work from the blueprints and model question papers that KSEAB posts for each II PUC subject, not from a guidebook. Students who take a year after II PUC for another JEE attempt can study in daytime slots, when more tutors are free.
Reaching II PUC or Class 12 with shaky Class 11 chapters is common, and the repair is smaller than it feels. The tutor tests the handful of Class 11 topics that later work depends on: functions and trigonometry in maths, vectors and the laws of motion in physics, the mole concept in chemistry. Only those are rebuilt, in short bursts, while the current syllabus keeps moving. Redoing all of Class 11 usually leaves both years unfinished. A written list of repaired topics, ticked each week, lets you and your child see the progress.
| Locality | What families here often need | What to tell the tutor |
|---|---|---|
| Sedam Road | Class 11 and 12 students working for JEE Main or the Karnataka CET beside II PUC | Colony name, cross and a landmark, since "Sedam Road" covers a long stretch |
| Jayanagar | Senior students heading for engineering or medical entrance tests | The spelling on your address proof (Jayanagar or Jaynagar) and the cross |
| Kotnoor | Students moving from the SSLC into PU science on the state route | Which side of the New Jewargi Road you are on, old village or newer colony |
| Santosh Colony | Independent houses; families on all three boards, so name yours | Colony name, cross number and the nearest main road |
| Hirapur | Well connected by the bus stand, so tutors from other parts of the city can come | Which side of the bus stand you live on and the nearest circle |
| Biddapur Colony | Quiet inner roads near the Ring Road; a settled study routine is easy to keep | Colony name, cross and a nearby shop |
The zone pages for Sedam Road and Kusnoor, Kotnoor and Jewargi Road and Hirapur and the West describe each side of the city. All localities are on the Kalaburagi home tutors page, and the Kalaburagi home tuition guide covers addresses and timing.
The physics tutor who suits your child may live across the city, and a strong JEE Advanced maths teacher may not live in Kalaburagi at all. So pick the format subject by subject. Sessions where every line must be watched suit the home, or a screen with a shared writing pad. Chemistry recall and late doubt-clearing suit online. A common arrangement is one subject at home and two online, reviewed after a month. Read how it works on the online tuition in Kalaburagi page, and weigh the trade-offs in home tutor or online tutor.
Every request brings two or three matched tutors, and their fees are visible before the demo. If the first one is not right, ask for a fresh match; switching later costs nothing. Prepare with the demo checklist for parents, and see our topic-by-topic articles on JEE maths and JEE physics.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Every tutor sets their own fee, shown to you before the demo. How fees vary is explained in the pricing guide and in our article on home tuition fees in Kalaburagi.
Mention the class, the board, the subjects and the target exam, whether JEE Main, JEE Advanced or the Karnataka CET, along with any class timings and a landmark near home. Then book a free demo. All tutors pass through an ID check when they join, and the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how we check tutors). For medical entrance, see NEET home tutors in Kalaburagi. National-board students have their own CBSE and ICSE and ISC pages, and tutors looking for students can open Kalaburagi tuition jobs.
A Kalaburagi student should give each exam its own fixed slot in the week rather than mixing them in one hour. The board needs full written answers, the Karnataka CET needs accurate recall across the PU syllabus, and JEE Main needs timed objective work with a penalty for wrong answers. Review the split each term as exams near.
The NTA 2026 bulletin set JEE Main Paper 1 as a computer-based test in maths, physics and chemistry. Each subject had 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical questions, giving 75 questions for 300 marks, with a mark lost for each wrong answer. Kalaburagi students should read the current bulletin on jeemain.nta.nic.in before planning.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each JEE tutor in Kalaburagi sets their own fee, which you see before the demo. Ask how many sessions a week they suggest and which could be held online.
Often a Kalaburagi JEE student is better served by different tutors, because the three subjects need different kinds of hour. Maths needs unfamiliar problems and reasons for each method, physics needs the tutor watching the working, and chemistry splits into calculation, recall and mechanisms. Many students need help in only one or two subjects.
A home tutor supports a coaching student in Kalaburagi by taking the agenda from the class itself rather than starting a second syllabus. That means unsolved problems, test questions marked wrong and chapters that went too fast. A short weekly note from the student on what the class covered keeps the two in step.
Yes, the II PUC practicals still count towards the board result for a Kalaburagi JEE aspirant, even though JEE has none. Each is out of 30. Physics gives 20 marks to one experiment, and chemistry sets a salt analysis and a titration of 10 marks each, plus attendance and the record. Have the record checked monthly.
A Kalaburagi II PUC student should repair only the Class 11 topics that later chapters rely on, not the whole year. Functions and trigonometry in maths, vectors and the laws of motion in physics, and the mole concept in chemistry are typical. Rebuild them in short bursts while the current syllabus moves on, ticking each off a list.
JEE tutors can reach Sedam Road, Kotnoor and Biddapur Colony when the address is precise. On Sedam Road, give the colony, the cross and which side you live on. In Kotnoor, say which side of the New Jewargi Road you are on. In Biddapur Colony, the colony name, cross and a nearby shop are usually enough.
A Kalaburagi family requests options by sending the class, board, subjects, target exam, any coaching timetable and the locality with a landmark. We then share two or three matched tutors with their fees. The first class is a free demo, and if the tutor does not suit, switching tutor later is free.
