Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Chemistry in the last two school years behaves like three subjects bound into one book. Physical chemistry is calculation, inorganic is trends with their exceptions, and organic is chains of reactions that must connect. A student in Kalaburagi (Gulbarga) is then asked for it in very different shapes: full written answers and set-out problems for II PUC, quick exact recall for the Karnataka CET and NEET, mechanisms and several-step working for JEE Main, and reasons with balanced equations for CBSE. A useful home tutor arranges the week so that one round of study serves all of them. Tell NXTutors the syllabus and your locality and we suggest two or three chemistry tutors who fit. Every fee is on the shortlist before you meet, and your first class with the tutor you pick is a free demo.
| Paper | How it is set | Pays for |
|---|---|---|
| II PUC chemistry (KSEAB) | Theory worth 70, drawn from ten units; numerical problems sit in a part of their own | Answers written in full, working laid out in order |
| CBSE Class 12 | Five sections and 33 questions for 70, none of it optional overall; a 30-mark practical besides | Reasons in writing, balanced equations, careful numericals |
| Karnataka CET | In the 2026 bulletin, a chemistry paper of 60 one-mark questions with no deduction for mistakes | Speed over the full two-year PU syllabus |
| NEET (UG) | In 2026, a quarter of the paper: 45 questions of 180, scored +4 or −1 | Word-perfect recall of NCERT lines |
| JEE Main | In 2026 Paper 1, 25 of the 75 questions, five of them numerical, with the same +4 and −1 | Mechanisms and multi-stage physical chemistry |
Both NTA and the Karnataka Examinations Authority publish fresh details every year, so the plan should follow the newest bulletin, not last year's. Our guides to important NEET chemistry chapters and JEE chemistry branch by branch help set priorities, and the NEET chemistry tutor page explains how we match for the medical entrance.
KSEAB conducts II PUC across Karnataka. For the coming exam its chemistry blueprint spreads 70 marks over ten units, and each part of the paper calls for its own kind of preparation:
| Part | What is asked | Marks | Prepare by |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Twenty one-mark items, all compulsory | 20 | Short recall rounds straight from the PU textbook |
| B | Any three of five two-mark questions | 6 | Definitions and one-line reasons in the book's own words |
| C and E | Any eight of fifteen three-mark questions, Part E's numerical problems among them | 24 | Every step and unit of the log working written out |
| D | Any four of six five-mark questions | 20 | Organic preparations and conversions in full |
The PU textbooks come in a Kannada-medium and an English-medium version, and chemistry was revised in 2023. Your child's tutor should work from that edition in the language of the exam, because a sibling's older copy may point revision at pages that have changed. For the latest blueprint, go to the PU exam portal the board runs, and our Karnataka board tutor in Kalaburagi page covers the PU route as a whole.
According to the II PUC model paper, a candidate may use log tables and a basic calculator, though a scientific calculator is barred. For CBSE Class 12 chemistry there is no aid of any kind. Anyone moving between the two, or a CBSE student who is also taking the CET, should practise both: fast use of tables for PU problems and rough working by hand for CBSE. Each entrance test sets out its own rule on aids. Put the question to the tutor during the demo; a confident, specific reply is a good sign they know the paper.
The 2026-27 paper keeps the previous design, with fixed marks for each chapter. Organic chemistry is the biggest branch at 33: aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids bring 8, biomolecules 7, and haloalkanes and haloarenes, alcohols, phenols and ethers, and amines 6 each. These marks go to students who can write a conversion as one connected route rather than a list of separate reactions.
Physical chemistry brings 23 marks: electrochemistry 9, and solutions and chemical kinetics 7 apiece. Here the usual losses come from units and powers of ten. Inorganic chemistry is worth 14, shared equally by the d- and f-block elements and coordination compounds, and each trend needs a short reason. About two-fifths of the paper tests recall and understanding. The rest asks for application, analysis or evaluation, and some questions offer an internal choice. Our Class 12 organic and inorganic chemistry guide goes chapter by chapter, and the Class 12 chemistry tutor page plans the year.
In 2026-27 the board has taken out two pieces completely: the solid state, and p-block Groups 15 to 18. Another four remain in the book with school-based assessment only, namely polymers, surface chemistry, chemistry in everyday life and how elements are isolated. A medical or engineering entrance syllabus is its own document and may still list part of what CBSE removed, including some p-block content, so compare the two before skipping a chapter. PU students should treat the CET the same way, since the Karnataka Examinations Authority publishes that syllabus itself.
| Branch | The usual slip | The weekly fix |
|---|---|---|
| Physical | The formula is right, then a unit, a sign or a logarithm goes wrong | Your child solves aloud and the tutor stops each slip as it happens |
| Organic | Each reaction learned on its own, so linking two of them in a conversion fails | A single-sheet reaction map (alcohol to carbonyl to acid, and on to amines) that your child redraws weekly without notes |
| Inorganic | A trend stated with no cause, or in loose wording | Rapid oral rounds in the textbook's exact phrasing |
| Board writing | Multiple-choice drills crowd out long answers | Every lesson ends with a pair of short reasoning questions, corrected on the spot |
Thirty marks ride on the practical. Volumetric analysis and salt analysis earn 8 apiece, an experiment tied to the syllabus content 6, and the project 4; the viva and record share the last 4. In this session's volumetric task, KMnO4 is titrated against Mohr's salt or oxalic acid, and each student must weigh the solid and make up the standard solution personally. There is no lab bench at home, yet a tutor can still rehearse the molarity working, a tidy reading table, the order of steps for identifying a salt, a realistic project, and the viva questions examiners like, for example why the purple permanganate acts as its own indicator.
Arrangements differ from the centre to the fort side and the east. Search by locality on our Kalaburagi page.
Khuba Plot lies inside the wider Brahmpur area, and II PUC science is a common request there; tutors from most parts of the city can reach it, but name the inner road and a landmark shop. Vidya Nagar, on the south-west side, has colleges and study centres around it; if your child already attends coaching, say so, so the tutor fills gaps rather than repeating the class.
Raghavendra Colony is a settled colony of independent houses west of the centre, close to Brahmpur and Kailash Nagar; a cross number and a nearby shop find the house. Kailash Nagar, north-west towards the old fort, has blurred colony edges, so give a known landmark on the fort side.
GDA Layout is a planned grid of numbered plots on the east side; plot number and cross road are enough, and a short online session can cover doubts between home visits. Aland Road is long, so add the layout, the cross number and the side of the road, and ask whether the tutor already teaches out that way.
Near the preparatory exams, if evenings become hard to plan, one weekly visit can move online so revision carries on.
Tutors for these courses are scarce in Kalaburagi, so start early; the usual answer is an online specialist plus someone nearby to correct written work. If your child is still in Class 11, our Class 11 chemistry tutor page explains why moles, equilibrium and the first organic chapters need care in the first year.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Chemistry tutors set their own rates, which usually reflect the target exam, how often they have taught it, the evening trip to your home and the lessons you need each week. You can compare every fee before the demo; our Kalaburagi home tuition fees article lists useful questions.
Please include: the year (first or second PU, or Class 11 or 12); the syllabus; the exam your child cares about most; which branch of chemistry is the problem; when college or entrance classes run; your locality and a landmark; and which evenings are open. We send two or three chemistry tutors with their fees, and you pick one for a free demo. Should the first not suit, we set up another demo, and a change of tutor later costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). NXTutors is based in Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online across India. The national chemistry home tutor page covers other cities, and our NEET home tutor in Kalaburagi page deals with the medical entrance.
Chemistry teachers who live in Kalaburagi can find open family requests on the Kalaburagi tuition jobs page.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. The II PUC chemistry paper carries 70 marks over ten units. Part A has twenty compulsory one-mark items, Part B asks three of five two-mark questions, Parts C and E together ask eight of fifteen three-mark questions including numerical problems, and Part D asks four of six five-mark questions, such as organic conversions.
The II PUC chemistry model paper allows log tables and a simple calculator, but not a scientific calculator. CBSE Class 12 chemistry allows no aid at all, so a Kalaburagi student switching boards, or a CBSE candidate also writing the CET, should practise both quick table work and estimation by hand.
A Kalaburagi tutor should use the revised PU chemistry textbook from 2023, in the medium your child writes the exam in, Kannada or English. An older copy handed down in the family can send revision to pages that have changed, so check the edition before the first lesson and download the current blueprint.
Organic chemistry carries 33 of the 70 CBSE Class 12 chemistry theory marks, led by aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids at 8 and biomolecules at 7. Physical chemistry carries 23, with electrochemistry at 9, and inorganic chemistry 14. About two-fifths of the paper tests recall and understanding; the rest asks for application or analysis.
CBSE has removed the solid state and p-block Groups 15 to 18 for 2026-27, and left surface chemistry, isolation of elements, polymers and everyday chemistry to school assessment. NEET, JEE and CET syllabi are separate documents and may still include some of this, so a Kalaburagi tutor should compare them before anything is skipped.
The CBSE Class 12 chemistry practical carries 30 marks: titration 8, salt analysis 8, a content-based experiment 6, project 4, and record with viva 4. A Kalaburagi tutor cannot bring a burette home, but can drill molarity sums, observation tables, the order of salt-analysis tests and likely viva questions.
Kalaburagi chemistry students usually lose marks to units and logarithms in physical chemistry, to reactions learned as lists in organic chemistry, and to trends stated without reasons in inorganic chemistry. A weekly reaction map, solving aloud while the tutor watches, and two reasoning questions marked at the end of each lesson fix most of this.
ISC, IB and IGCSE chemistry tutors are scarce in Kalaburagi, so start the search early and name the course in your first message. Many families pair an online specialist with a nearby tutor who corrects written answers. For the IB, remember that the scientific investigation must be the student's own work, without steering.
Include the year, the syllabus, the exam that matters most, the branch causing trouble, college or entrance-class hours, your Kalaburagi locality with a landmark and your free evenings. NXTutors then sends two or three chemistry tutors with fees, and you pick one for a free demo. Switching tutor later is free.
