Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Senior physics in Kalaburagi (Gulbarga) is seldom aimed at one exam. Students in the PU science stream face II PUC, usually the Karnataka CET as well, and in some homes JEE Main or NEET too. A CBSE student has a board paper of their own and the same entrance options. Each of these papers rewards a different kind of answer. The board wants a derivation laid out in full, the CET wants pace, and JEE and NEET punish a careless guess. A home tutor's job is to find the step that keeps failing, rehearse each exam in its own style, and make sure entrance practice does not quietly push board writing out of the week. NXTutors shortlists two or three physics tutors familiar with those papers and able to come to your side of the city; every fee is on the shortlist before you meet, and the first class is a free demo.
Decide the main target first. How long an answer runs, how many steps are shown and whether an uncertain option should be marked all depend on it.
| Exam | The physics part | How it is scored | What earns marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| II PUC (KSEAB) | Theory worth 70 across Parts A to D, practical worth 30 | Written answers; a needed diagram or missing working costs the whole answer | Every numerical showing the formula, the substituted values and a unit |
| CBSE Class 12 | Theory of 70 marks over 33 questions with no overall choice, plus 30 for practicals | Written; no calculator | Derivations, ray diagrams and reading case questions closely |
| Karnataka CET (2026 bulletin) | A separate physics paper: 60 multiple-choice items at one mark each | A wrong answer loses nothing | Speed, and coverage of both PU years |
| JEE Main (2026) | A third of Paper 1: 25 questions, five with numerical answers | +4 when right, −1 when wrong | Multi-step problems, and knowing when to skip |
| NEET (UG), 2026 | 45 of the 180 questions, worth 180 of the 720 marks | The same +4 and −1 | NCERT-level precision and caution with guesses |
Whoever conducts an entrance test publishes its syllabus, and that list can still include chapters a school board has cut. Read each bulletin before crossing anything off. For priorities, our JEE physics topic-wise plan and the guide to high-yield NEET physics chapters help, and matching for each test is described on our pages for a JEE physics tutor or a NEET physics tutor.
II PUC is run by KSEAB, which keeps one of its divisional offices in Kalaburagi. Its physics blueprint puts 70 theory marks over fourteen chapters, arranged in four parts:
| Part | Questions | Marks | Home practice |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | 20 one-mark items, none optional | 20 | Laws, SI units and definitions recalled in seconds |
| B | 5 two-mark questions answered out of 8 | 10 | A reason given in two tight sentences |
| C | 5 three-mark questions answered out of 8 | 15 | A short explanation with a neat labelled sketch |
| D | 5 five-mark questions answered out of 9 | 25 | Complete derivations and longer numericals |
The model paper carries three rules that deserve a sticky note on the desk. Only the first attempt at a Part A question is marked, so crossing out and trying again earns nothing. Where an answer needs a diagram, leaving it out loses the marks. A numerical with no formula or working scores zero, however correct the final figure. That last rule hurts most the student who has grown used to entrance shortcuts, so a good tutor checks a few written PU answers in every single week rather than only before the preparatory exams. The latest blueprint is on the PU exam portal run by the board; our Karnataka board tutor in Kalaburagi page describes the PU years as a whole.
Under the board's practical scheme, physics carries 30 marks. The experiment performed on exam day is worth 20; the record and attendance at lab classes bring 5 each. Turning up is the student's own job. The remaining 25 are where a home tutor earns their place. Each record entry should have its aim, the circuit or ray diagram, a clean table of readings and a result. Your child should be able to say why readings are repeated and what the slope of a graph means. These marks reward steady work, and they are the first to slip when entrance practice takes over the evenings.
The 2026-27 design follows last year's. Electricity and magnetism take 33 of the 70 theory marks. Optics, counted together with electromagnetic waves, takes 18; modern physics 12; and semiconductor electronics, now without transistors or logic gates, 7. The paper begins with sixteen one-mark items, twelve multiple-choice and four assertion–reason. It goes on to five two-mark and seven three-mark questions, two four-mark case studies, and three long answers of five marks each. Only about 38% of the marks reward plain recall. Constants are given in the paper, and calculators are not allowed.
The 30 practical marks break down as 14 for two experiments, 5 for the viva, 5 for the record and 3 each for an activity and the investigatory project. A full record holds at least eight experiments and six activities, split evenly between the two sections, plus the project report. Derivations that return year after year are gathered in our Class 12 physics strategies; for a monthly plan, visit our page on finding a Class 12 physics tutor.
The mark written on a test paper says little by itself. College test or entrance-course test, the following lesson should take each mark that was dropped and put it in one of three groups; the coming week's work then follows from the groups:
Keep the most recent marked paper ready for the free demo. Someone strong in physics reads it first and names the step that keeps breaking, and only then starts teaching. Deciding between an entrance course and tuition at home? Two articles help: JEE coaching or a home tutor, and the NEET version of the same question.
Mechanics in the first year depends on vectors, graphs and rates of change. Those tools come back in the second year's electricity and optics, and every entrance paper uses them. A gap closed in the first term is cheap; the same gap found in the board year is expensive. See the Class 11 physics tutor page, and our stream choice guide if the decision is still open.
Specialists in these courses are rare in Kalaburagi, so begin the search early. Families often combine an online specialist with a local tutor who corrects written answers.
After a long college day, physics tuition mostly falls after dark, and a regular slot holds only when the tutor's route to you is easy. Search tutors by locality on our Kalaburagi page.
When a practical or mock runs late, switch that day's lesson online rather than losing it.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor names their own rate, which usually follows the exam in view, their experience of it, an evening trip to your home and the number of lessons a week. An online rate may differ from a home one. Every fee is visible before the demo, and our Kalaburagi home tuition fees article lists sensible questions.
We match on six details: which year it is (first or second PU, Class 11 or 12), the board, the most important exam, the hours of college or any entrance course, your locality with a landmark, and the evenings that are free. A shortlist of two or three physics tutors comes back with fees, and your choice gives a free demo first. Not the right fit? A second demo follows, and a later change of tutor costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). Our office is in Sector 66, Gurugram, and we teach online all over India. For other cities, use the national physics home tutor page. The two remaining CET subjects have their own Kalaburagi pages: maths and chemistry.
If you teach physics in Kalaburagi, open family requests are listed on the Kalaburagi tuition jobs page.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Physics tutors in Kalaburagi set their own rates, usually by the target exam, their experience of it, the evening trip and the lessons per week. An online rate can differ from a home one.
The II PUC physics theory paper carries 70 marks across fourteen chapters in four parts. Part A has twenty compulsory one-mark items, Part B five two-mark answers from eight, Part C five three-mark answers from eight, and Part D five five-mark answers from nine. A 30-mark practical is added separately.
Under the II PUC model paper, a numerical with no formula or working scores nothing, even if the final figure is right. A needed diagram left out also loses the marks, and only the first attempt at a Part A question counts. Students used to entrance shortcuts should have written answers marked every week.
The 30 II PUC physics practical marks come from the experiment on exam day, worth 20, attendance at practical classes, worth 5, and the record, worth 5. A Kalaburagi tutor can check each record entry for its aim, diagram, readings table and result, and make sure your child can explain what a graph's slope means.
Each entrance exam rewards a different habit when a Kalaburagi student is unsure of an answer. In 2026 the Karnataka CET set 60 one-mark physics questions with no negative marking, JEE Main Paper 1 had 25 physics questions scored +4 and −1, and NEET had 45 under the same rule. So guess freely on the CET, carefully elsewhere.
CBSE Class 12 physics has 70 theory marks over 33 compulsory questions and 30 practical marks. Electricity and magnetism carry 33, optics with electromagnetic waves 18, modern physics 12 and semiconductor electronics 7. Calculators are not allowed, and the practical splits into two experiments 14, viva 5, record 5, activity 3 and project 3.
After every test, a Kalaburagi physics tutor should sort each lost mark into one of three groups. They are a concept gap, a slip in method or a wrong exam decision, and next week is planned from that list. Concept gaps need fresh explanation and graded problems, slips need the full solution rewritten, and exam decisions need clear rules practised on timed sets.
I PUC mechanics depends on vectors, graphs and rates of change, and the same tools return in second-year electricity and optics and in every entrance paper. Closing these gaps in the first term costs far less than repairing them during the board year, so ask any Kalaburagi tutor how they will test them early.
Often yes, because Vidya Nagar has colleges and study centres around it, and Khuba Plot is central enough for tutors from most sides of Kalaburagi to reach. Still ask how long a tutor has taught senior physics, and keep an online lesson in reserve for evenings when the main roads are crowded.
NXTutors needs the year, the board, the main target exam, college and coaching hours, your Kalaburagi locality with a landmark, and your free evenings. We then send two or three physics tutors with their fees, and you choose one for a free demo. If it does not click, a second demo follows.
