Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

NEET is won or lost on biology, which carries half the paper, and on physics, which is where many medical aspirants quietly lose the rank they earned in biology. For a Gandhinagar student on the Gujarat board, there is a helpful overlap: the board says its schools have taught Standard 12 biology, physics and chemistry from NCERT books since June 2019, and NEET questions are written around the same books. The board year still has its own demands, though: practicals, a January preliminary test, the HSC papers and, for students who want a pharmacy seat as a fallback, GUJCET. This page sets out how a home tutor can keep all of that in one plan, which subjects suit home or online, and how tutors reach six of the city's localities. The national NEET home tutor page covers the exam and syllabus in depth.
| Feature | Detail | Tuition point |
|---|---|---|
| Questions | 180, all compulsory: physics 45, chemistry 45, biology 90 | Biology deserves the most hours, physics the most care |
| Time and marks | 180 minutes, 720 marks | About a minute per question, so recall has to be instant |
| Marking | Four marks for a right answer, one deducted for a wrong one | Practise leaving questions as a deliberate skill |
| Format | Pen and paper, single shift | Mocks on printed sheets, not only on a phone |
| Syllabus | Set by the NMC; biology in 10 units, five each from Classes 11 and 12 | Standard 11 biology cannot be left behind |
Read every rule, including age and tie-breaking, in the current bulletin on neet.nta.nic.in; the 2026 version set a minimum age of 17 by 31 December with no upper limit.
On the Gujarat board, a medical aspirant usually studies in Group B (with biology) or Group AB (biology and maths). Group AB keeps engineering open but adds a fourth subject; a tutor should say early whether that extra load is helping or hurting the biology score.
| Paper | How it is set | How a tutor prepares for it |
|---|---|---|
| HSC Science (board) | Board papers with written sections (the 2025-26 physics design opened with 50 OMR questions); a separate practical examination in early February | Written answers and diagrams in the board's style; practical files ready before February |
| GUJCET | Held by the board; biology is its own paper of 40 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes; physics and chemistry share an 80-question paper; OMR sheets | Short timed sets after the January preliminary; for a Group B student, relevant to pharmacy admission |
| NEET (UG) | 180 questions across Standards 11 and 12, with negative marking | Daily recall, Standard 11 revision, full timed papers |
The board's 2026-27 calendar fixes the Standard 12 preliminary test in mid to late January and the HSC papers from late February to mid-March. Plan around those dates rather than treating them as interruptions, and check NEET's own schedule on the NTA site. The Gujarat Board tutors in Gandhinagar page covers the board side in full, and our GUJCET tutors page covers that test.
Biology recall fades fast, so short and frequent beats long and occasional. A routine that many students can keep:
Online sessions suit this part well: they are short, focused and easy to fit after school. Our NCERT-first NEET biology guide sets out the method, and our biology home tutors in Gandhinagar page covers board biology.
Medical aspirants often treat physics as the subject to survive. That is costly: 45 questions at four marks each is a quarter of the paper. Physics mistakes start at the set-up, with a wrong free-body diagram, a sign convention mixed up or a formula applied where it does not hold, and a tutor sitting beside the student can catch that step as it happens. On a screen, the tutor usually sees only the wrong final answer. If only one subject can be taught at home, physics is usually the one. Our NEET physics tutor and NEET chemistry tutor pages go deeper, as do the physics and chemistry pages for Gandhinagar.
Chemistry is easy to neglect in a NEET plan built around biology and physics, but the 2026 bulletin gives it a special role. When two candidates have the same total, the tie is broken first by the biology score, then by chemistry, then by physics, and after that by the ratio of wrong to right answers. In a crowded score band, a few chemistry marks can decide the order. Three habits help. First, keep inorganic facts and organic reactions in short daily recall sets, the same way as biology, so they do not need cramming in the final weeks. Second, give physical chemistry numericals the same set-up discipline as physics: units written, steps shown, answers checked for size. Third, track wrong answers separately for chemistry, because the ratio of wrong to right also enters the tie-break. For a Gujarat board student, the HSC chemistry practical work in early February is a natural moment to revise the experiments and what each one shows.
Both NEET and GUJCET are answered on paper, and both reward a calm, orderly way of marking answers. Phone-based practice is fine for daily recall, but full mocks should be done at a table with a printed paper, a clock and an answer sheet. A useful pattern from the Diwali vacation onward: one full NEET mock every week or two, at the same time of day as the real exam, reviewed with the tutor within two days. The review matters more than the score; each wrong answer goes into a log by subject and type, and the next week's sessions are built from that log.
The 2026 bulletin offered NEET booklets in English, in Hindi as a bilingual booklet, or in English together with one of several regional languages, 13 languages in all; check the current list before choosing. Whatever the booklet, most practice material uses the English terms from the NCERT books. A Gujarati-medium student benefits from a tutor who explains in Gujarati when needed but drills the English names of structures, processes and units from the start, so that nothing feels unfamiliar on the day.
| Locality | Route | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Kudasan | Sector-1 station on the Yellow Line, then auto or two-wheeler | Plotted houses allow doorstep arrival; flats need the guard told in advance |
| Adalaj | Tapovan Circle station, then an auto or pick-up; or by road through the highway interchange | Late afternoon or weekend slots miss the highway peaks |
| Raysan | Raysan's own Yellow Line station | Villas and row houses usually allow doorstep arrival |
| GIFT City | GIFT City station on the Violet Line branch | Register the tutor with building security before the first visit |
| Vavol | Two-wheeler or car; no station in the locality | A tutor living nearby is the steadiest choice for physics at home |
| Randesan | Randesan station, then a short walk or auto | Fix the evening slot outside the SH-71 rush |
Zone pages: Kudasan and Sargasan, Koba, Raysan and GIFT City, Sectors 1–8 and Infocity and Sectors 16–30 and Pethapur. The Gandhinagar home tutors page lists every locality, and online specialists are available wherever no nearby tutor fits; see our online tutors for Gandhinagar page.
| Stage | Focus | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Standard 11 | The Standard 11 biology units, mechanics and the mole concept; the daily routine from the first month | Physics at home; biology recall online |
| Standard 12 | The Standard 12 biology units; Standard 11 revision on weekends; practicals before February; GUJCET sets after the preliminary | Physics at home; biology and chemistry mostly online |
| Repeat year | Last year's paper analysed question by question; weak units rebuilt; weekly full mocks | Daytime sessions, more choice of tutor |
CBSE students follow the same NEET plan with their own Class 12 board paper in place of the HSC; see our CBSE tutors in Gandhinagar page. Students also aiming at engineering should read the JEE tutors in Gandhinagar page.

For students sitting it from Gandhinagar, NEET (UG) 2026 had 180 compulsory questions: 45 physics, 45 chemistry and 90 biology, worth 720 marks in 180 minutes. A right answer earned four marks and a wrong one lost one, on pen and paper in a single shift. Check every rule in the current bulletin on neet.nta.nic.in.
For Gandhinagar students, GSEB Standard 12 biology lines up closely with NEET in content, since the board says its schools have taught it from NCERT books since June 2019. The difference is format: board papers want written answers and diagrams, while NEET wants fast, accurate choices across both Standard 11 and Standard 12 units.
Yes, if a pharmacy seat is a fallback, a Gandhinagar NEET student in Group B or AB should prepare a little for GUJCET. The board's 2026 note set biology as a separate 40-question, 60-minute paper on the Standard 12 syllabus, with OMR sheets. A few timed sets after the January preliminary are usually enough.
A Gandhinagar NEET student can keep a daily biology routine of 20 to 30 minutes: one NCERT section read closely, then ten questions without notes. Twice a week the tutor traces wrong answers to the exact NCERT line, once a week a diagram is drawn from memory, and every fortnight a Standard 11 unit is revisited.
Many Gandhinagar NEET families keep physics for the home visit because it is a quarter of the paper. Its errors begin at the set-up: the free-body diagram, the sign convention or the formula. A tutor at the table sees that step happen. Biology recall and chemistry checks work well online in short, frequent sessions.
Chemistry can decide a Gandhinagar student's NEET rank because the 2026 bulletin broke ties first by biology score, then chemistry, then physics, then the ratio of wrong to right answers. Keep inorganic facts and organic reactions in short daily recall sets, set up physical chemistry numericals carefully, and track chemistry errors separately.
From the Diwali vacation onward, a Gandhinagar NEET aspirant can sit one full mock every week or two on a printed paper. Use a table, an answer sheet and a clock. Sit it at the exam's time of day. The tutor should review it within two days and build the next week from the error log, not the total score.
Yes, a Gujarati-medium student in Gandhinagar can prepare well for NEET with a tutor who explains in Gujarati but drills the English NCERT terms from the start. Most practice material uses them. The 2026 bulletin offered booklets in 13 languages in all, so check the current list before choosing.
Yes, NEET tutors usually reach Vavol and other Gandhinagar localities with no metro station by two-wheeler or car. A tutor who lives nearby keeps the weekly slot most reliably. Where no nearby tutor fits, an online specialist can take biology and chemistry while physics stays at home.
