Tutoring in Gandhinagar: what to know
Gandhinagar is a planned capital, and that shapes tutoring work here. The original thirty sectors form a grid of letter and number roads, and an address reads sector, block letter and plot, so finding a house for the first time is rarely a problem. Our four zones follow the city's shape: Sectors 1–8 with Infocity and Vavol; Sectors 16–30 with the old town of Pethapur; Kudasan, Sargasan and Randesan; and Koba, Raysan, GIFT City and Adalaj. The sectors are mostly independent houses and government quarters, while the villages merged into the city in June 2020 have filled with gated apartment societies and, in GIFT City, towers with controlled entry.
The Yellow Line now runs from Ahmedabad through Koba, Raysan, Randesan and Infocity to Sector-1 and on to Mahatma Mandir, its last stretch opened in January 2026, and the Violet Line branch serves GIFT City. A tutor who lives near a station can take students along the line and finish by auto, while Sector 30, Pethapur, Vavol and Adalaj are reached by road. Students here sit GSEB, the state board whose office is in Gandhinagar itself, as well as CBSE and CISCE, and IB or IGCSE where a family follows them. GSEB issues its SSC papers in Gujarati, English and Hindi medium, so state which medium you teach in.
Home and online work both fit the city. When a family in Sargasan sends a request, NXTutors suggests two or three tutors: those living in Sargasan first, then tutors who travel there, then the rest of the Kudasan & Sargasan zone, the wider city and online tutors. The family sees your fee before a free first demo, and switching later costs them nothing, so the teaching itself has to hold the relationship. Office traffic around Infocity, the government offices and SH-71 is heaviest at the start and end of the working day, so after-school and weekend slots are easier to keep, and a specialist can teach students anywhere in India online.

1
Sign up with a one-time code
Sign up with a one-time code sent to your phone or email, then add your subjects, classes, boards such as GSEB, CBSE or ICSE, your teaching medium and the Gandhinagar sectors you reach.
-

3
Your profile carries the Verified badge
Once you pass, your profile carries the Verified badge, listing your boards and medium, the sectors or localities you cover from Pethapur to Adalaj, your free hours and your fee.

4
A family nearby sends a request
A parent in Koba or Sector 22 sends a request. NXTutors suggests two or three tutors, nearest first, then tutors who travel there, then the zone, the rest of the city and online.
-
5
Free demo; the family sees your fee first
The family sees your fee before booking. The first class is a free demo at their home, and we ask a parent to be at home for it, so you can judge the student, the gate and the timing.

Teach at home, online or both
After that, teach at homes in your sectors, online for students across Gujarat and India, or both, such as a Saturday visit in Raysan with weekday online classes fitted around school hours.
Boards you can teach in Gandhinagar
Gandhinagar tutors teach GSEB students for the SSC at Standard 10 and the HSC at Standard 12, alongside CBSE, ICSE and ISC, and IB or IGCSE where a family follows them. GSEB, whose office is in the capital, handles registration, hall tickets, results and purak (supplementary) examinations on its website and hosts a question bank for Standards 9 to 12; its SSC papers come in Gujarati, English and Hindi medium. Use the CBSE academic site for sample papers and the CISCE site for regulations, and state your teaching medium plainly.
GSEB
SSC (Standard 10); HSC (Standard 12)
GSEB is based in Gandhinagar and conducts the SSC and HSC examinations. Its question bank covers Standards 9 to 12, and SSC mathematics is set as separate Standard and Basic papers, so confirm which one a student is taking. Papers are issued in Gujarati, English and Hindi medium; teach in the student's medium and follow notices on gseb.org.
A CBSE student in Gandhinagar may live in a sector house or a Kudasan tower. Build lessons on the NCERT textbook, practise with the sample papers and marking schemes on cbseacademic.nic.in, and keep in mind that a CBSE school calendar can differ from a GSEB one when you plan revision for siblings on different boards.
CISCE
ICSE (Class 10); ISC (Class 12)
CISCE students write long answers: ICSE at Class 10 and ISC at Class 12 cover a broad syllabus and English literature texts. A Gandhinagar tutor helps most by pacing the full syllabus across the year, marking timed answers and keeping project work on schedule. Read the regulations and specimen papers on cisce.org.
IB
Diploma Programme (Classes 11–12)
When a Gandhinagar family follows the IB Diploma, the right specialist may well teach online. Ask which course and level the student takes, coach the method behind an Internal Assessment or Extended Essay without ever writing it, and work from the subject guides published on ibo.org.
IGCSE work means past papers marked against the official scheme, close attention to command words and the right tier, Core or Extended. Check whether the school uses Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel before the demo. An IGCSE family in Gandhinagar may prefer an online specialist, so list online teaching if you offer it.
