Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

NEET (UG) gives biology half the paper, yet the subject that most often holds a score back is physics. A home tutor in Hubballi-Dharwad is useful when the role matches that reality: short, frequent biology checks so that NCERT detail stays in memory, slow and careful physics at the table, and chemistry handled according to its three very different parts. All of this has to fit beside the II PUC or Class 12 course. This page sets out how families in the twin city arrange it, how tutors reach six localities, and what to watch for in the free demo. The exam is explained further on our national NEET home tutor page.
The National Testing Agency conducts NEET (UG). Its 2026 bulletin described a pen-and-paper test of 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions: 45 in physics, 45 in chemistry and 90 in biology, for 720 marks. A right answer was worth four marks, and a wrong one cost a single mark. Candidates could take the booklet in English, in Hindi with English, or in English with one regional language, across 13 languages in all. The minimum age was 17, with no upper limit. The biology syllabus set by the National Medical Commission for 2026 had ten units, five from each year, built on NCERT.
When this page was updated, neet.nta.nic.in still carried the 2026 cycle. Read the newest bulletin there before fixing a plan, because the pattern, languages and rules are confirmed afresh each year.
| Subject | Where students slip | The tutor's main tool |
|---|---|---|
| Biology | Fine NCERT detail fades within weeks: terms, examples, diagram labels, sequences | Short recall quizzes several times a week, with errors logged and re-tested |
| Physics | Choosing the law, setting up the equation, units and signs | Watching the student solve, line by line, and stopping at the first wrong step |
| Physical chemistry | Numericals in mole concept, equilibrium and electrochemistry | Worked problems in person, then timed sets |
| Organic and inorganic chemistry | Reaction steps and exceptions forgotten under pressure | Recall checks, often online, and reaction maps the student draws |
Most biology marks in NEET come from reading NCERT closely and remembering it exactly. A long weekly lesson that re-explains chapters the school has already taught adds little. What helps is a habit. The student reads a set portion each day; the tutor, two or three times a week, asks quick questions on it, including the side notes, tables and figure labels that students tend to skip. Every wrong answer goes into a log and is asked again a week later.
That kind of quizzing works well on a short video call, which makes it easy to fit around a long PU day. A biology tutor should also check the student's diagrams, because the same figures recur in board answers and in the entrance paper. Our biology home tutors in Hubballi-Dharwad page and the article on NCERT-first NEET biology go into more detail.
Physics is where an in-person tutor earns the fee. Students who struggle usually understand the idea in class but freeze when they must choose an approach for a new problem. A tutor at the table can see the hesitation, ask what the student is thinking, and correct the set-up before the algebra goes wrong. Two focused sessions a week in physics, with a short problem set between them, usually do more than a long session once a week.
Chemistry sits between the two. Physical chemistry behaves like physics and is worth working through in person when the numericals are weak; organic and inorganic chemistry behave more like biology, rewarding regular recall and reaction maps that the student draws from memory. One tutor can cover all three branches, but the plan should give each its own kind of session.
Ask for a tutor who teaches NEET physics specifically, not only board physics, since the entrance paper rewards speed and the elimination of wrong options. Our physics tutor for NEET page and the city's physics and chemistry pages cover the subjects in depth.
Some students in the twin city study in Kannada medium up to SSLC and move to English in PU; others use English throughout. The 2026 bulletin allowed a booklet in English with one regional language, so the choice deserves a deliberate decision rather than a hurried guess. Check the current list of languages in the newest bulletin, then ask two practical questions. In which language does your child read a long biology statement fastest and most accurately? And which terms does the PU or school textbook use? A student who reads in one language and revises in another often loses time on assertion-and-reason and statement-type questions. Once the language is settled, ask the tutor to quiz and set papers in it from then on, and mention the choice when you send the request, so we suggest tutors who are comfortable teaching in it.
| Course | What it already gives | What the tutor adds |
|---|---|---|
| Karnataka PU (II PUC) | A board that publishes subject-wise blueprints for physics, chemistry and biology, plus practical schemes | Objective speed, NCERT-level biology detail, and timed mixed papers |
| CBSE Class 12 | NCERT textbooks, the base of the NEET syllabus | Multiple-choice practice and the habit of eliminating options |
| ISC Class 12 | Broad, written science courses with practicals | A map of where ISC chapters and the NEET syllabus differ, made early |
Board marks still matter, so keep practical records and written answers moving all year. See our Karnataka Board, CBSE and ICSE and ISC pages for Hubballi-Dharwad.
For medical and related seats in Karnataka, the Karnataka Examinations Authority runs the state's admission process. Its admission portal lists a separate UG NEET admission stream, alongside the one for the Karnataka CET, with its own application and option-entry steps. In practice that means a NEET candidate who wants state seats has a second set of forms and deadlines after the exam itself. Ask the tutor to keep the study plan going while the family handles the paperwork, and read every step on KEA's own site rather than relying on a summary, including this one.
| Locality | Local note | Useful in the request |
|---|---|---|
| Sattur | On the Dharwad side of the road between the cities | Say which end of Sattur you are closer to, and give the layout and cross |
| Bhairidevarkoppa | On the corridor between Unkal and Navanagar; the stop is signed Bairidevarakoppa | Write the name as on your address proof, with the layout |
| Kalyan Nagar | A quiet residential colony south-east of Saptapur | Your street and the nearest park or playground |
| Saraswatpur | On a hillock beside Malmaddi | That you are on the Saraswatpur side of the hill, with the cross road |
| Gandhinagar | Served by the corridor and by feeder buses from Navanagar | Rajatgiri, Haripriya Colony or Dhavalgiri, plus the cross number |
| Hosayellapur | One of Dharwad's oldest localities, near Gandhi Chowk | The nearest chowk or a known shop, since lanes can be hard to follow |
The Navanagar and the Dharwad Road, Saptapur and Old Dharwad and Malmaddi, Gandhinagar and Vidyagiri zone pages say more, and the Hubballi-Dharwad tutors page lists every locality. A good split for many families is physics at home and biology checks online.
Because NEET is written with a pen on an answer sheet, practice should look the same. Once a month in Class 12, and more often near the exam, the student sits a full paper at the dining table in one go, marking answers on a printed sheet, with phones out of the room. The tutor then reviews it in two steps: first the questions answered wrongly, sorted by cause, then the questions left blank, to see whether caution or gaps in knowledge kept them blank. A family member can act as invigilator. Past NTA papers are the fairest material for this, since they show the real style of question.
| Stage | Main aim | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| I PUC or Class 11 | Build the biology recall habit and secure mechanics in physics | Half the biology units belong to this year, so gaps left now resurface in the final paper |
| II PUC or Class 12 | Finish the syllabus early enough to leave room for full mocks | Board practicals and written answers squeezed by entrance work |
| A further attempt | Rebuild the chapters where last year's marks were lost | Repeating the same reading without testing recall |
If the match is not right, we suggest another tutor, and switching later is free. The demo class checklist covers the general questions.

NEET biology should be quizzed often because most of its marks depend on remembering fine NCERT detail, which fades within weeks. A short recall check two or three times a week, with wrong answers logged and asked again later, keeps that detail fresh. It works well on a brief video call around a long PU day.
The NEET (UG) 2026 paper had 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions for 720 marks: 45 in physics, 45 in chemistry and 90 in biology. It was a pen-and-paper test with four marks for a right answer and one deducted for a wrong one. Read the newest bulletin on neet.nta.nic.in before planning, as rules are confirmed each year.
Yes, for state seats a NEET candidate also deals with the Karnataka Examinations Authority after the exam. KEA's admission portal lists a separate UG NEET admission stream with its own application and option-entry steps. Read each step on KEA's own site, and ask the tutor to keep the study plan going while the family handles the forms.
In Sattur, Gandhinagar and similar localities, physics and weak physical chemistry usually suit home visits, because the tutor must watch each problem being set up. Biology recall checks and organic or inorganic chemistry quizzes suit short online sessions. Both localities sit on the BRTS corridor, which helps tutors from either city reach them.
A student from Kannada medium should choose the booklet language they read long biology statements in fastest and most accurately, after checking the current bulletin's language list. The 2026 bulletin allowed English with one regional language. Once decided, ask the tutor to quiz and set practice papers in that language from then on.
NEET mock tests at home should copy the real paper as closely as possible. That means one sitting, a pen and a printed answer sheet, phones out of the room and a family member as invigilator. The tutor then reviews wrong answers by cause and asks why other questions were left blank. Past NTA papers show the real style of question and make the fairest practice material.
Yes, one tutor can support NEET and II PUC together if the plan keeps practical records and written board answers moving all year. The Karnataka board publishes subject-wise blueprints for physics, chemistry and biology. Alongside that board work, the tutor adds objective speed, NCERT-level biology detail and timed mixed papers.
A NEET student can fit tuition around a long PU day by keeping one longer home lesson a week and adding short online recall checks. Navanagar sits on the BRTS corridor, so tutors from either city can reach it, while Saptapur families often find tutors within Dharwad. Fix the slot early and protect sleep in the board months.
