Physics home tutor in Dhanbad: one patient reader of your child's working, from Class 11 to the board paper

Senior physics asks a student to do several things at once: picture a situation, choose the right law, carry the algebra through and keep the units straight. In a crowded school class, nobody has time to watch each of those steps for one student. A home physics tutor can. In Dhanbad, the same Class 12 student may be writing a JAC or CBSE board paper and, alongside it, preparing for JEE Main or NEET, and each paper rewards physics in its own way. Tell NXTutors the board, the class, any entrance exam in view and your locality, and we send two or three physics tutors who fit. Every fee is shown before you meet, and the first lesson is a free demo.

How does each physics paper your child may sit award its marks?

Many chapters are common to all of these papers. What differs is the marking, and that decides how a tutor sets practice each week. Agree first which paper comes first this term.

Physics in the papers Dhanbad's Class 11 and 12 students prepare for: how it is set, how it is marked, and the practice it needs
PaperHow physics is setMarkingPractice it needs
JAC Intermediate physicsCourse prescribed by the Jharkhand Academic CouncilAs in the council's current notices and model papersAnswers from the prescribed book, in the student's medium
CBSE Class 12 physics (042)A 70-mark theory paper (33 questions, all compulsory) and a 30-mark practicalFull written working; calculators not permittedDerivations, labelled diagrams and case-based questions
JEE Main, as set in 202625 questions: 20 with options, 5 needing a numerical valueFour marks gained per correct answer, one lost per wrong answerLong problems, followed by going over each mistake
NEET (UG), as set in 2026A quarter of the paper: 45 questions out of 180, worth 180 of 720 marks, answered with penThe same four-up, one-down markingAccuracy at NCERT level, and fewer blind guesses

A chapter dropped by a school board can survive in an entrance syllabus, because NTA writes its own; read this year's bulletin on nta.ac.in before striking anything off. Our chapter-by-chapter JEE physics plan and our list of high-yield NEET physics chapters help set priorities; the JEE and NEET pages for Dhanbad describe how we match for those exams.

Can you find a tutor for JAC Intermediate physics in Dhanbad?

Yes. The Jharkhand Academic Council, based in Ranchi, holds the Intermediate examination at Class 12 and prescribes its courses. The council updates its syllabus and question design, so this page does not set out a JAC physics paper; jac.jharkhand.gov.in carries the current version and the council's model question papers.

What to ask for is clearer. A JAC physics tutor should teach from the prescribed book in the language your child writes in, keep the textbook's own terms in written answers, and still insist on a sketch first and units on every line. Those habits carry straight into JEE or NEET if either is planned. The council's site also links to NCERT e-books, which is handy when a student needs a second copy. Our Jharkhand board tutors in Dhanbad page covers the board as a whole.

How are the 70 theory marks spread in CBSE Class 12 physics?

For 2026-27 the paper's design is unchanged from last session. The fourteen NCERT chapters fall into four blocks of marks:

CBSE Class 12 physics theory, 2026-27: the four blocks, their marks, and a tutoring focus for each
BlockMarksTutoring focus
Electricity and magnetism (electrostatics through alternating current)33Field directions on every figure; circuit work with units throughout
Optics with electromagnetic waves18Ray diagrams and sign conventions until they are automatic
Modern physics (dual nature, atoms and nuclei)12Short numericals and reading graphs correctly
Semiconductor electronics7The current scope only: transistors and logic gates are no longer in it

The 33 questions sit in five sections. Section A has sixteen one-mark items, twelve multiple-choice and four assertion–reason. Section B has five two-mark questions, C has seven of three marks, D has two four-mark case studies and E has three five-mark long answers. Roughly 38% of marks go to recall. The paper supplies the constants, no calculator may be used, and there is a single main board exam in Class 12. Our Class 12 physics strategies list the derivations examiners return to, and our Class 12 physics tutor page sets out a plan for the board year.

How much of the 30-mark practical can a tutor prepare?

A good share of it. Under the CBSE scheme, the two experiments performed on the day are worth 7 marks apiece, the viva and the practical record 5 each, and one activity and the investigatory project 3 each. The record itself has a minimum: eight experiments and six activities, split evenly between the two sections, along with the project report.

Equipment never leaves the school, yet a home tutor can still read each record entry, quiz the student on precautions and likely errors, and play examiner in a mock viva, asking things like why a reading is repeated or what a graph's gradient means.

Why is Class 11 the right time to begin?

Class 11 mechanics depends on vectors, graphs and rates of change, and those tools reappear in nearly every Class 12 chapter. A student who drifts through motion, laws of motion and work-energy in Class 11 usually has to relearn them under pressure later. Starting early in Class 11 is simpler than mending gaps later. The Class 11 physics tutor page and our stream choice guide say more.

Which solving routine should a physics tutor insist on?

Progress shows most clearly in the layout of a written solution. Ask the tutor to hold your child to four steps on every problem:

  1. Draw it. A figure comes first, with forces, axes or rays shown, and only then an equation.
  2. Name the law. One line saying which principle is used, such as conservation of momentum or Kirchhoff's rules.
  3. Carry the units. Every number entered with its unit, so a slip in dimensions shows at once.
  4. Test the answer. A quick look at the sign and the size of the result before moving on.

A separate error notebook helps: copy the question, leave the first attempt untouched, add one line naming the mistake, and redo it cleanly after some days. Take that notebook, or two recent school tests, to the free demo; a strong tutor reads them and names the shaky step before starting a new topic.

Can one tutor handle the board paper and JEE or NEET together?

Often, yes, provided the plan is clear about which paper each session serves. Three jobs suit a one-to-one session and are easily lost in a busy week:

  • The unfinished problems. Anything skipped or copied from a practice sheet is worked again, slowly, until the student owns it.
  • The board answer. Objective entrance practice does not train full derivations and labelled diagrams. One session a week can keep the board paper alive.
  • The test review. Lost marks are labelled as a missing idea, a slip, or a question that should have been skipped, and the following week is built on those labels.

Where a coaching class is also part of the week, set the home lesson on days it does not meet. Two of our articles weigh coaching against a home tutor, one for JEE and one for NEET.

What should you arrange for an evening physics lesson in your locality?

Class 11 and 12 students tend to get home late, so physics often lands in the evening, and the plan only works if the tutor can reach you then without a struggle. Browse tutors by locality on our Dhanbad page.

ISC, IB or IGCSE physics: what should a Dhanbad family look for?

ISC
Alongside theory, CISCE marks practical work and a project, and its examiners want reasoning set out in full. Confirm the tutor uses the syllabus for your child's exam year.
IB Diploma
Five lettered themes organise the course. The exam papers carry 80% of the final grade; an investigation planned and written by the student alone supplies the other 20%. Our IB physics SL and HL guide explains the parts.
Cambridge IGCSE
Schools enter students at Core or Extended level. Someone switching to an Indian board after IGCSE usually needs a few extra weeks on vectors and graphs.

What does a physics home tutor in Dhanbad charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees. Before choosing, find out which papers each tutor has prepared students for lately, the latest hour they can teach, and how they feel about some classes online. All fees are visible before the demo, and the Dhanbad home tuition fees guide has more.

How do you ask for a physics shortlist?

Send the class, the board, the main aim (board paper, JEE or NEET), your locality with a landmark, and the evenings still free. You get two or three physics tutors with fees attached and pick one for the free demo; if it does not click, another demo follows, and moving to a different tutor later costs nothing. Should no suitable tutor be able to reach you at that time, we will offer an online or mixed plan. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). Our office is in Sector 66, Gurugram, and online lessons run all over India. Physics Home Tutor in Dhanbad: common questions

What does a physics home tutor in Dhanbad charge for Class 11 and 12?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Dhanbad physics tutors set their own fees, and every fee appears on the shortlist before the free demo.

Can a Dhanbad student get a home tutor for JAC Intermediate physics?

Yes, a Dhanbad student can get a home tutor for JAC Intermediate physics. The Jharkhand Academic Council prescribes the course and updates its pattern, so the tutor should teach from the prescribed book, in the student's medium, and use the council's model papers from jac.jharkhand.gov.in, while keeping sketches and units on every line.

How are the 70 theory marks divided in CBSE Class 12 physics?

The 70 CBSE Class 12 physics theory marks fall into four blocks in 2026-27: electricity and magnetism 33, optics with electromagnetic waves 18, modern physics 12 and semiconductor electronics 7. Transistors and logic gates are no longer in the course, so a Dhanbad student should not revise them from older notes.

What makes up the 30 practical marks in CBSE Class 12 physics?

In CBSE Class 12 physics, two experiments carry 14 of the 30 practical marks, the record 5, an activity 3, the investigatory project 3 and the viva 5. The record needs at least eight experiments and six activities. A Dhanbad home tutor can check record entries and run a practice viva.

What share of JEE Main and NEET does physics make up for a Dhanbad student?

Physics was 25 of the JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 questions, 20 with options and 5 numerical. It was also 45 of the 180 NEET (UG) 2026 questions, worth 180 of 720 marks. Both exams gave +4 for a right answer and −1 for a wrong one. Dhanbad students should confirm the next pattern on nta.ac.in.

Can one Dhanbad physics tutor prepare a student for both the board and JEE?

One Dhanbad physics tutor can often prepare a student for both, as long as each session has a clear purpose. Useful jobs are re-solving unfinished problems, practising full board derivations and diagrams, and reviewing every lost test mark. If the student attends coaching too, fix the home slot so it never clashes.

When should a Dhanbad student start with a physics tutor?

Early in Class 11 is usually the right time for a Dhanbad student to start physics tuition. Mechanics leans on vectors and graphs that return throughout Class 12, and gaps in motion or work-energy are harder to mend in the board year. A term on foundations saves much repair work later.

What should a Matkuria or Kusum Vihar family tell a physics tutor about the address?

A Matkuria family should give the apartment name, block and floor, say whether visitors sign in, and pick a lesson that ends before the evening rush on Katras Road. In Kusum Vihar, share the quarter number and type, or the block and flat number, and pass the tutor's name on if the entrance asks.

How does NXTutors shortlist physics tutors for a Dhanbad student?

NXTutors shortlists physics tutors for a Dhanbad student from the class, board, any entrance goal and your locality. You get two or three matched tutors with fees shown first. In the free demo, ask the tutor to solve one numerical with your child, drawing the diagram and writing units on every line. Switching tutor later is free.
