Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Ahmedabad
An Ahmedabad Standard 12 science student can face four tests built on largely the same chapters: the GSEB HSC Science paper with its 50-question OMR opening, GUJCET for state engineering and pharmacy admission, and JEE Main or NEET at national level. The content overlaps; the formats, pace and marking do not. Families hire JEE and NEET tutors here to keep all of that moving without the board result slipping.
No open jee and neet requests in Ahmedabad right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.
This page is for subject specialists in physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology who prepare students for national entrance tests. Joining NXTutors is free; you choose your tests, subjects, medium, zones and fee.
JEE requests come from Group A and AB students on GSEB and from CBSE and ISC science students. NTA's 2026 bulletin set JEE (Main) Paper 1 as a three-hour computer-based test, with 20 multiple-choice and five numerical-answer questions in each of mathematics, physics and chemistry, 300 marks in all, and a mark lost for wrong answers. Strong performers become eligible for JEE (Advanced), two compulsory three-hour papers set by the IITs. NEET requests come from Group B and AB students: the 2026 NEET (UG) was a single pen-and-paper sitting of 180 questions, with biology carrying 90.
The GSEB link is closer than many tutors expect. The board states that Standard 12 physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics have been taught from NCERT textbooks since June 2019, so a GSEB student preparing for JEE or NEET shares much of the content of a CBSE student. Standard 11 foundations still need careful work: mechanics under electrostatics, mole concept under solutions, functions under calculus. Many families also want the medium question settled: students who study in Gujarati often practise national-test material in English as well, and want a tutor comfortable in both.
GUJCET sits alongside. For students on a JEE or NEET track, its content holds few surprises; its pace, about ninety seconds a question on OMR sheets, and its single-day order of papers are its own, so a week or two of GUJCET-style papers before the test is time well spent. Parents expect a tutor to explain how the week will balance national preparation, GUJCET and the HSC, which remains the Standard 12 result.
Timing in the year matters. Standard 11 is for foundations, with short multiple-choice checks after each chapter. In Standard 12, each chapter needs both a written HSC set and a timed objective set. Uttarayan in mid-January falls in the heaviest revision stretch before the boards, so sessions are better fixed either side of it. After the HSC, full mock papers for JEE or NEET and GUJCET rehearsals in the real order take over.
Entrance students have coaching and school, so the tutor travels and the route must hold up week after week. Satellite, Vastrapur & Bodakdev draws many such requests; Thaltej, Bodakdev and Memnagar can be reached from Thaltej Gam, Thaltej and Gurukul Road on the Blue Line, but Satellite, Jodhpur and Vastrapur have no station, and families there often add an online specialist to a home tutor. Late-afternoon and weekend-morning lessons are the easiest to hold.
In Naranpura, Gota & Chandkheda, the Red Line runs from Motera Stadium to Vijay Nagar, and tutors from Gandhinagar can arrive on the Gandhinagar line, widening the choice for Chandkheda and Sabarmati families. In Prahlad Nagar, Bopal & Shela, with no metro, a nearby tutor for one subject and an online specialist for another is a common pattern.
Name the tests and subjects precisely: "JEE Main and Advanced maths; GUJCET Group A maths; GSEB HSC 050; English and Gujarati". Describe how you run a test review and how you plan around coaching. Never quote ranks or results you cannot document, and do not promise scores or admissions.
At the demo, ask for the latest coaching or school test. Pick three wrong answers, find the cause of each, and re-teach one. Then show the parent a two-week plan with coaching days and the HSC schedule marked. Families compare two or three matched tutors with fees shown, and switching is free for them, so a clear plan in the first hour is what makes the difference.

Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.
A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Less than before. GSEB has taught Standard 12 science and maths from NCERT since June 2019, so content overlaps, though the board's own paper format differs.
Most Ahmedabad science students sit GUJCET too. Strong JEE or NEET preparation covers much of the content; add GUJCET-style timed OMR papers in the final weeks.
Many start in Standard 11, when the stream group is settled. Others add a tutor in Standard 12 for one weak subject alongside coaching.
It helps with Gujarati-medium students, especially for GUJCET, which is offered in Gujarati, English and Hindi. National tests are usually practised in English.
