GSEB General-stream subjects named in the board's 2025-26 paper designs include Economics, Organisation of Commerce and Management, Statistics, Psychology, Geography and Philosophy, alongside English as a second language, and commerce students take accountancy from the board's own textbook. Medium is the detail that decides most matches. Schools on the Gujarat board teach in Gujarati, English and other media; ledger columns look the same in any language, but account titles, narrations and every theory answer are written in the student's medium. Families tell us "GSEB, commerce, Class 11 or 12" plus the medium, and they expect a tutor who practises from the board's past papers rather than NCERT exercises. Students who move to a GSEB commerce class from another board need help catching up with the board's book.

CBSE and ISC commerce students form the other half of the demand. CBSE Accountancy 055 is a three-hour, 80-mark paper plus a 20-mark project in both Class 11 and Class 12, with Class 12 Part B as either Financial Statement Analysis or Computerised Accounting. ISC Accounts 858 is three hours and 80 marks with two 10-mark projects, and ISC Commerce 857 is a separate subject. A smaller group studies Cambridge IGCSE Accounting 0452 or AS and A Level 9706; the IB has no separate accounting subject, so IB families asking for "accounts" usually mean Business Management.

Commerce students usually have school until the afternoon, so lessons are in the evening or at weekends. In Nikol, Naroda & Bapunagar, Vastral, Amraiwadi and parts of Nikol sit on the Blue Line, while Bapunagar and Juna Naroda are doorstep visits in narrow lanes where a two-wheeler beats a car. Industrial shift times load the roads around Odhav and Naroda, so a fixed mid-evening lesson that avoids them works well.

On the west bank, Navrangpura, Paldi & Ellisbridge is the easiest zone to add if you ride the Red Line, with Old High Court linking both lines. Satellite, Vastrapur & Bodakdev has Blue Line stations in its northern half but none in Satellite, Jodhpur or Vastrapur.
