Only 12 of the 100 marks in the GSEB Standard 12 Physics design are set for pure recall. Thirty-two are for application and 26 for higher-order thinking. A student who memorises derivations and stops there is aiming at a small slice of the paper, and Ahmedabad parents who have looked at the design want a physics tutor who teaches students to use the ideas, not just repeat them.
No open physics requests in Ahmedabad right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.
If you teach physics to Standards 11 and 12, or to ICSE, IGCSE and IB students lower down, this page explains what Ahmedabad families ask for and how a tutor gets chosen. Joining NXTutors is free, and the classes, boards, medium, zones and fee are yours to set.
HSC Science physics, code 054, is the largest single source of physics requests. Since June 2019 GSEB schools have taught Standard 12 physics from NCERT textbooks, but the paper is the board's own: three hours and 100 marks, with Part A as 50 one-mark questions on an OMR sheet and Part B as written answers with choice in each section. Students also sit a practical examination with its own hall ticket, so the practical record and viva preparation cannot wait for the final month.
GUJCET adds an entrance layer. The 2026 press note set a combined physics and chemistry paper of 40 plus 40 questions, one mark each, in a single 120-minute block on one OMR sheet, with no fixed split between the subjects. A student absorbed in a long physics numerical can quietly steal ten minutes from chemistry, so tutors should practise it as one block with a checkpoint at the hour. JEE Main and NEET bring their own patterns: NEET 2026 gave physics 45 of its 180 questions, with marks deducted for wrong answers. GUJCET's syllabus follows the board's Standard 12 course, so the content overlaps heavily; the format is what differs.
CBSE students sit physics 042, a 70-mark theory paper with 30 practical marks, and ISC students follow CISCE's pattern with long, organised answers. Below Standard 11, physics requests come mainly from ICSE families and from IGCSE and IB students, for whom the city page notes that online teaching widens the choice of specialist.
Senior physics students have full days, so the tutor travels and the route must be repeatable. Naranpura, Gota & Chandkheda is well placed for metro riders on its eastern side: the Red Line runs from Motera Stadium through Sabarmati to Vijay Nagar, and tutors from Gandhinagar can arrive via the Gandhinagar line. Gota and Ghatlodia lack a station and are reached along SG Highway or by the BRTS route that ends in Gota.
In Shahibaug, Asarwa & Meghaninagar, the nearest metro stops are Shahpur, Gheekanta and Kalupur on the far side of the old city, so most tutors come by road along Riverfront Road or Airport Road, and the campus traffic in Asarwa lasts all day. East-bank tutors have the simpler trip; west-bank physics specialists often teach families there online.
Satellite, Vastrapur & Bodakdev is a common destination for senior physics lessons. Its northern half, Thaltej, Bodakdev and Memnagar, is reachable from Thaltej Gam, Thaltej and Gurukul Road on the Blue Line with an auto for the last part, while Satellite, Jodhpur and Vastrapur depend on a two-wheeler, BRTS or city buses. Highway service lanes thicken in the evening rush, so a weekend-morning session for new chapters plus a shorter weekday online review is a practical pattern there.
Ahmedabad parents look for exact papers on a physics profile: "GSEB HSC Physics 054 and GUJCET; CBSE 042; NEET physics numericals; Gujarati and English". If you teach in Gujarati, say so; many Standard 12 students study science in Gujarati and can take GUJCET in the language they think in. State honest hours, especially if you teach after coaching.
At the demo, ask for the last unit test. Pick one application question the student lost marks on and teach it through, naming the law, drawing the situation and checking units. Then set five quick OMR-style items and review them. Close with how you would split the week between written Part B answers and objective speed. The parent sees your fee before the demo, and switching tutor is free for them.
Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.
Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.
A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Physics 054 is a three-hour, 100-mark paper: 50 one-mark OMR questions in Part A, then written answers with choice in Part B, plus a separate practical exam. Confirm the current design on gseb.org.
Physics and chemistry share one 120-minute paper and one OMR sheet with no fixed split, 40 questions each. Time management between the two is a skill to practise.
Yes. The board states that Standard 12 physics has been taught from NCERT textbooks since June 2019, though its paper design is its own.
Those near your home or on your metro line. Vijay Nagar, Sabarmati and Motera Stadium are on the Red Line; Gota, Satellite and Bopal are reached by road.
Yes. Many families on the far bank from a specialist choose online physics, and IB and IGCSE students often prefer it.
