Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Two things set Ahmedabad apart for a family planning JEE tuition. The first is geography: the metro serves the centre, the east and the north of the west bank well, while Satellite, Prahlad Nagar, Bopal, Shela and Gota still have no station at all, so tutors there come by two-wheeler or BRTS. The second is language: many students study under the Gujarat board, in Gujarati or English medium, and that shapes how JEE material is taught. This page covers both, along with how to slot a tutor around coaching, how to split maths, physics and chemistry between home and online, what changes by stage, and how to use the free demo. For the exams and the full syllabus, start with our national JEE home tutor page.
The 2026 bulletin from the National Testing Agency described JEE (Main) Paper 1 as a three-hour, computer-based test in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Each subject carried 20 multiple-choice questions and five with a numerical answer, for 300 marks across the paper, and wrong answers lost a mark in both formats. Students could sit two sessions, and those ranked high enough went on to JEE (Advanced): two compulsory three-hour papers, set by the IITs, in English and Hindi. Read the current bulletin (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and brochure (jeeadv.ac.in) before you plan around any date or rule.
We plan Ahmedabad in seven zones, four on the west bank and three on the east. For JEE tuition, the useful question is whether a strong subject tutor can reach your home on the metro or must ride across the city. Every locality has a page on the Ahmedabad home tuition page.
| Zone | Example | Getting there and what it means |
|---|---|---|
| Navrangpura, Paldi and Ellisbridge | Navrangpura | Old High Court is where the Blue and Red Lines meet, so tutors from the north or the east bank can ride in; roads towards the bridges are slowest at office hours |
| Satellite, Vastrapur and Bodakdev | Bodakdev | Blue Line stations at Thaltej and Thaltej Gam serve the north of the zone; towers log each visitor's phone number at the gate |
| Prahlad Nagar, Bopal and Shela | South Bopal | No metro; BRTS Route 17 and two-wheelers. Look first at tutors living locally and add online sessions for specialist work |
| Naranpura, Gota and Chandkheda | Chandkheda | The Red Line runs the length of the zone, and the Gandhinagar line from Motera Stadium widens the tutor pool northwards |
| Maninagar, Isanpur and Kankaria | Maninagar | Train, metro and BRTS all reach the zone; an earlier after-school slot avoids the evening market crowd near the station |
| Nikol, Naroda and Bapunagar | Vastral | The city's first metro section runs here; industrial shift times load the roads around Odhav and Naroda, so fix a mid-evening slot that avoids them |
| Shahibaug, Asarwa and Meghaninagar | Shahibaug | Nearest metro stops are a short ride away; a tutor from the east bank usually has the simpler journey, and an online session suits a west-bank specialist |
The west Ahmedabad and east Ahmedabad guides go into each side in more detail.
The Ahmedabad hub's advice on JEE is that a tutor works alongside coaching, clearing unsolved sheets and every question marked wrong in the last test. That needs a fixed weekly slot, and three local rhythms decide which slot holds:
Take a hypothetical Class 11 student in Gota, a locality with no metro station, with coaching on the east bank on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, and physics slipping behind. Asking a strong physics tutor to ride in on weekday evenings would mean the highway at its slowest. A plan built for the map instead:
In Chandkheda or Maninagar, with the metro close by, the same student could take two shorter home sessions in the week instead. Give us the coaching days when you request tutors, and we shortlist people whose week fits yours.
A large share of Ahmedabad's students study under the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, in Gujarati, English or another medium. For JEE, that raises two separate questions.
Is the syllabus covered? The JEE syllabus sits close to the NCERT books, while each board sets its own textbooks and order of chapters. A tutor should lay the NTA units beside the school's plan for Class 11 and 12 in the first weeks, mark anything taught late or lightly, and cover those topics before coaching tests reach them. CBSE students start nearest the NCERT text; ICSE and ISC students benefit from the same mapping.
Is the language a barrier? The 2026 JEE Main bulletin offered the paper in 13 languages with English alongside the chosen one, and JEE Advanced in English and Hindi. Check the current list. Whatever the paper's language, a Gujarati-medium student meets English terms in most coaching modules and practice books, so ask for a tutor who can explain in Gujarati while building the English vocabulary. Tell us the medium when you request tutors; the hub's matching already asks for board, class and language together.

| Subject | At home | Online |
|---|---|---|
| Mathematics | Long problem sessions where the tutor watches every line | A handful of stuck coaching problems |
| Physics | Concepts rebuilt with diagrams; timed numericals | Test review on a shared screen |
| Chemistry | Physical chemistry numericals; organic mechanisms written out | Inorganic recall quizzes |
In the unconnected west, especially Bopal, Shela and Gota, a nearby tutor for the weekly home session and an online specialist for one subject is a common answer when no local specialist is available. Our comparison of home and online tutoring covers the trade-offs.
Subject detail is on the JEE physics tutor page and in our JEE maths topic-by-topic and JEE chemistry guides.
For a gated society, give the gate the tutor's name and number before the demo; for an independent house, share the lane, nearest crossroads and a map pin. The demo class checklist for parents has more. If it is not the right fit, the next tutor is lined up, and switching later is free.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees, shown before you book; a tutor crossing the river at peak hours may quote more for home than for online. See the Ahmedabad home tuition fees guide and our pricing guide.
Send the class, board and medium, the target exam, subjects, coaching days, your locality and nearest crossroads or station, and the times that suit. We come back with two or three matched tutors; book a free demo class or browse tutor profiles. Tutors who join go through an ID check before their profile is marked Verified. Ahmedabad families get two or three matched JEE tutors, each fee shown before the first class, and a free demo with the tutor they choose. Bring questions your child got wrong in coaching and check that the student does the solving. If the fit is wrong, the next demo is lined up, and switching tutor later is free.
JEE home tutors in Ahmedabad cover all seven of our zones, four on the west bank and three on the east. Where the Blue or Red Line reaches you, tutors from further away can come. Satellite, Prahlad Nagar, Bopal, Shela and Gota have no station, so we look first at tutors living nearby.
Yes, a Gujarati-medium GSEB student in Ahmedabad can prepare for JEE; the 2026 JEE Main bulletin offered the paper in 13 languages with English alongside. Check the current list. A tutor should map the NTA units against the school plan and explain in Gujarati while building English terms used in most coaching modules.
Ahmedabad JEE tutors prepare for the pattern in the 2026 NTA bulletin: Paper 1 was a three-hour computer-based test in maths, physics and chemistry. Each subject had 20 multiple-choice and five numerical-answer questions, 300 marks in all, and wrong answers lost a mark. Read the current bulletin before planning around any rule.
A late-afternoon home session on a non-coaching day, or a weekend morning, usually suits JEE tuition in Ahmedabad, avoiding evening build-up on SG Highway and the bridge roads. After a late coaching batch, a 30 to 40 minute online doubt session works better. In Odhav and Naroda, avoid industrial shift changes.
A JEE tutor can come home to Bopal or Shela, though a tutor who already lives in Bopal, South Bopal or Shela keeps a weekly slot far more reliably. Neither area has a metro station. Many families there pair a local home tutor with an online specialist for one subject rather than ask someone to cross the river weekly.
Most Ahmedabad JEE students gain most from long maths problem sessions and physics concept rebuilding at home, and test reviews online. Chemistry numericals and organic mechanisms suit home sessions, while inorganic recall quizzes work online. Students in Bopal, Shela and Gota often add an online specialist for one subject when no local one is available.
In Class 11, an Ahmedabad JEE tutor maps NTA units against the board and builds mechanics, basic calculus and the mole concept, with an error log from the first test. In Class 12, new chapters, Class 11 revision and the board paper run together, so the tutor moves to full timed papers early.
Uttarayan can affect JEE tuition in Ahmedabad, because the kite festival in mid-January falls in the busy Class 12 board and JEE preparation stretch. Agree with the tutor in advance whether those days move online or shift, so the month keeps its rhythm. Check the current NTA bulletin for session details.
In a free demo, an Ahmedabad JEE tutor should start from questions your child got wrong in coaching, not from a fresh chapter. The tutor asks why at each step while the student solves. They should explain how the GSEB, CBSE or ICSE paper treats the topic differently and name the medium they teach in.
