Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Gurgaon
Some Gurugram parents tell us plainly that they would like a woman to teach their child. It comes up most for teenage daughters, for very young children who are taught at home, and in households where a parent works late and wants to feel at ease with whoever is at the table. When a family marks that preference, NXTutors looks first at women tutors who fit the class, board and subject, so a woman tutor with a clear profile is placed in front of those families early.
Families who are looking for a tutor right now. We show the class, subject, board, mode and area only; the family's name and contact details are never shown here.
This page is for women who teach, or want to, in Gurugram. It covers who asks for a female tutor, which zones and hours suit different kinds of work, the safety and entry routines that make home visits comfortable, and how to get chosen. The platform is open to every tutor regardless of gender; this page simply describes the requests where a family has asked for a woman. Joining is free, and you choose your sectors, hours and fee.
| Month | What the family asked for |
|---|---|
| Oct 2026 | Class 10 · Maths |
| Oct 2026 | Class 11 · Maths |
| Oct 2026 | Class 12 · Maths |
| Oct 2026 | Class 8 · Maths |
| May 2026 | Maths |

| Apr 2026 | Class 6 · English |
| Apr 2026 | English & All subjects |
The preference appears at both ends of the age range. Parents of nursery, KG and primary children often want a woman tutor for a gentle, patient routine at home: reading, numbers and homework in a shared room. Parents of girls in Classes 8 to 12 ask for a woman tutor for maths, science, English or commerce, and some mark the preference as firm while others say it is flexible if the subject fit is strong.
Board-year and international families ask too. A Class 10 CBSE student, an ICSE student preparing English and the sciences, or an IB or IGCSE student on Golf Course Road may all come with the note 'female tutor preferred'. In those cases subject depth still decides the shortlist; the preference narrows it. A woman tutor who teaches senior physics, chemistry or IB maths therefore has a particularly clear opening here.
Many requests also mention timing. Working parents near Cyber City and MG Road, or in the large societies along Golf Course Extension Road, want a reliable tutor in the late afternoon or early evening while they are still at work, with an adult at home. Others want weekday online classes and a weekend home session when a parent is in.
You decide where you teach. A tutor in Old Gurugram might keep to the HUDA plots and Palam Vihar lanes around her, where visits go straight to the door and trips are short. A tutor living on Golf Course Extension Road can stay within the large societies of Sectors 55 to 66 and teach families in New Gurugram or on the Southern Peripheral Road online. Leave out any sector that would mean crossing Sohna Road or NH-48 in the evening rush.
Central Gurugram, around South City 1, Sushant Lok and the sectors near Millennium City Centre, suits a woman tutor who travels by metro: the Yellow Line ends there and the last stretch is a short auto ride. Some societies stop visitor entry after a set evening hour, so check the cut-off before you offer a family a late slot, and choose hours that let you finish and get home comfortably.
Make your profile do the work: list exact boards and classes, the sectors you will reach, and the hours you keep free. If you only want daytime or early-evening home visits, say so; families who need later classes can be offered online sessions instead. Choose home, online or hybrid, and change it whenever your week changes.
At the demo, ask a parent to be present, teach a normal lesson on the student's current topic, and agree the routine before you leave: days, time, where the class will sit and how the parent will be kept informed. If anything about an arrangement ever worries you, stop it and tell NXTutors, marked Safeguarding; in an emergency, call 112 first. Families see your fee before booking; see how you get paid further down.
Tutors who join go through an ID check: a one-time code to your phone or email and a government photo ID that our team reviews before the badge appears. It is an identity check, not a police or background check, and the steps are on the How we verify tutors page.
Women tutors welcome
Women tutors are welcome on NXTutors, for home classes, online classes or both. You decide how, where and when you teach. These are the controls the product gives you, and the habits our safeguarding policy asks of tutors and families.
Read the safeguarding policy and how the ID check works.
Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.
Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.
A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Yes. You choose your travel sectors and home requests are matched to them. You could teach at home only in Old Gurugram or only along Golf Course Extension Road, and take other families online.
The first class is a free demo, and we ask a parent to be at home. You teach a short lesson, the family sees how you work, and you both decide whether to continue. In gated societies, ask to be pre-approved at the gate before you arrive.
Plan around it. Ask the family for the exact cut-off and choose a slot that ends well before it. Anything later, such as a doubt session before a test, can move online with the same student.
