Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Andheri & Jogeshwari, Mumbai
Andheri is where Mumbai's metro network comes together, and that changes how far a tutor can sensibly travel. Line 1 runs east beside the Andheri-Kurla Road towards Ghatkopar, Line 2A heads north from D N Nagar through Oshiwara, Line 7 connects at Gundavali, and the underground Line 3 serves Marol Naka, MIDC Andheri and SEEPZ. A tutor from Borivali, Ghatkopar or Dadar can often reach a society door with one ride and a footbridge, which makes this one of the most accessible zones in the western suburbs.

The housing is just as varied. Andheri West runs from Four Bungalows and D N Nagar to the seaside corner of Versova, with Seven Bungalows and Yari Road, and inland to Lokhandwala, a busy area of towers and cooperative societies on once-marshy land. Andheri East stretches past the highway to J B Nagar, Chakala, Marol and Sahar, where homes sit beside offices, studios and the MIDC estates. Jogeshwari West takes in Oshiwara, Behram Baug and the Veera Desai industrial estate, and Jogeshwari East follows the Jogeshwari–Vikhroli Link Road past the ancient Jogeshwari Caves and neighbourhoods such as Majaswadi.
Andheri station, on the Western and Harbour lines, is the busiest on the Western Railway and connects to Line 1 by skywalk. Line 1, open since June 2014, has nine of its twelve stations in Andheri, including Azad Nagar, D N Nagar and Versova on the west and Western Express Highway, Chakala, Airport Road and Marol Naka on the east. Match the station to the block: Versova or D N Nagar for Seven Bungalows and D N Nagar, Line 2A's Andheri West, Oshiwara and Lower Oshiwara stations for Lokhandwala and Oshiwara, and Marol Naka or Chakala for Andheri East. Jogeshwari station has served the Harbour line as well as the Western since 2018, and Line 7 stops at Jogeshwari (East) and Mogra along the highway.
NXTutors ranks the tutors it suggests for Andheri and Jogeshwari by distance and route: tutors living in the zone first, then those who already travel here, then others in Mumbai, then online. With so many lines meeting, tutors from several corridors can list this zone and be considered. Families along the Andheri-Kurla Road or the link road often keep one lesson at home and move another online on heavy days, and online classes help for specialist subjects in Andheri East, so a tutor who offers both modes fits more of these requests.
Most Lokhandwala and Oshiwara towers have gate desks and tight parking, so the family registers you as a regular visitor, and arriving by metro and auto is usually more punctual than driving. Almost every building in Lokhandwala has a gate desk. In Jogeshwari West, older buildings off S V Road often have just a watchman, while newer towers along Link Road ask for visitor registration. Jogeshwari East's older colonies are simpler to walk into than its newer towers. In Versova, buildings usually have a watchman who notes visitors.
For a first visit anywhere in this zone, ask for the wing, the flat number and a map pin, and check whether the society uses a visitor app. In the big Lokhandwala and Oshiwara buildings, being added once as a regular visitor saves several minutes at the gate every week, and on a tight evening of back-to-back lessons those minutes decide whether the next class starts on time.
The Andheri-Kurla Road carries heavy office traffic at the start and end of the working day, and the Jogeshwari–Vikhroli Link Road is known for heavy traffic at peak hours. S V Road and Link Road slow in the evening peak, Lokhandwala's market roads are crowded in the evening, and roads back towards Andheri station from Versova are heavy too. Earlier slots help a tutor coming from afar; families along the busiest roads often prefer classes outside rush hours or online sessions.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
D N Nagar on Line 1, or Andheri West and Lower Oshiwara on Line 2A, then a short auto. Line 6, planned to start at Lokhandwala and head east via Jogeshwari to Vikhroli, is still under construction and carries no passengers yet.
Mostly by metro. Line 1 has Western Express Highway, Chakala, Airport Road and Marol Naka stations, and Line 3 stops at Marol Naka, MIDC Andheri and SEEPZ. Lanes near the tracks are closer to Andheri's suburban station.
Yes. Since the Harbour line was extended to Goregaon in March 2018, Jogeshwari serves both the Western and Harbour lines. Line 2A has Oshiwara and Lower Oshiwara stations on the west side, and Line 7 stops at Jogeshwari (East) and Mogra.
It is usually easier not to. Gate desks and tight parking make metro plus auto the more punctual choice. If you do drive, ask the family whether a parking spot can be arranged.
Yes. Families along the Andheri-Kurla Road and the link road often keep one home lesson and move another online on heavy-traffic days. Tick both modes and agree the split after the demo.
