Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Goregaon & Malad, Mumbai
Two metro lines run side by side through Goregaon and Malad, and between them they decide which tutors can come here every week. Line 2A follows Link Road on the west; Line 7 follows the Western Express Highway on the east. A tutor from Dahisar, Borivali or Andheri can often reach a society door with one metro ride and a short walk. The catch is the railway in the middle: crossing from west to east at peak hours can take longer than a much longer trip along one side.

Each suburb is divided by the Western line, and the halves feel different. Goregaon West is made of settled pockets such as Motilal Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Unnat Nagar and Prem Nagar, where older low-rise blocks are being rebuilt and newer towers rise towards Link Road, and Bangur Nagar, a planned neighbourhood of more than twenty cooperative societies developed in the mid-1970s. Goregaon East reaches towards Aarey and Film City, with Gokuldham, gated societies and office parks. Malad West runs from Orlem, Evershine Nagar and Sunder Nagar out to Malvani and the Marve and Madh shore, and Malad East covers Kurar Village, Dindoshi, Pathanwadi, Upper Govind Nagar, Appa Pada and Kranti Nagar.
Line 2A stops at Goregaon West, Bangur Nagar, Lower Malad, Malad West and Valnai–Meeth Chowky, so most societies west of the tracks are a short walk or auto from a station. Line 7 serves Aarey, Goregaon East, Dindoshi and Kurar on the highway side. Goregaon station has served both the Western and Harbour lines since March 2018, and Ram Mandir, opened in December 2016, serves the Oshiwara end of Goregaon West. Malad station is on the Western line only and serves homes on either side near the tracks. Bangur Nagar metro station sits at the southern end of that neighbourhood, which keeps a compact layout within easy reach.
A Goregaon or Malad request starts with tutors living in the zone, then those who travel in from neighbouring suburbs, then the rest of Mumbai, then online tutors when no one nearby fits the subject. For a tutor, the practical question is which side of the tracks to list: a tutor living near Link Road is naturally placed for Malad West and Goregaon West, one near the highway for Malad East and Goregaon East. Where evening traffic makes a weekday slot unreliable, one home lesson and one online session is a common pattern, so it helps to offer both.
Many societies in Goregaon West ask visitors to sign in at the gate, and most Bangur Nagar buildings have a watchman who logs visitors, so the family shares your name ahead of time. Gated complexes in Goregaon East and along Link Road add you to a visitor app before the first class. The inner lanes of Kurar Village and Appa Pada are narrow, so ask for a landmark and clear directions with the address; homes there range from older village settlements and small buildings to apartment societies. Street parking is limited around Bangur Nagar, so train or metro plus a short walk is usually easier.
Link Road, the highway and the roads to Film City are busiest at office hours. Evening lessons that start just after the rush tend to begin on time; weekday sessions in Malad East work well either before the evening rush or later in the evening. S V Road and Link Road in Malad West are both busy at office hours, so on heavy days a session can shift online. Road traffic near Goregaon station is heaviest at the same hours, so early-evening sessions there need a little slack. Agree at the start that lessons move online on the heaviest monsoon days.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Line 2A along Link Road serves Malad West, with Malad West and Valnai–Meeth Chowky stations and Lower Malad just south. Line 7 along the highway serves Malad East, with Kurar and Dindoshi stations. Malad station on the Western line serves homes near the tracks on either side.
Yes. The Harbour line was extended to Goregaon in March 2018, so Goregaon station serves both the Harbour and Western lines. Ram Mandir is another option for the Oshiwara end of Goregaon West.
It is compact and easy to find, with its own Line 2A station at the southern end. Most buildings have a watchman who logs visitors, so ask the family to share your name before the first lesson.
Only if the crossing is simple at the hour you teach. At peak times, west-to-east crossings can take longer than a longer trip along one side, so many tutors list the side they live on and teach the other side online.
A landmark, clear directions and the building or house name. Inner lanes there are narrow, so the first visit is much easier with a map pin and a phone number for the parent.
