Home Tuition in Vijay Nagar and East Indore: Area by Area
East Indore is where the city has grown fastest. Planned by the Indore Development Authority from the late 1990s onwards, the numbered schemes around Vijay Nagar now sit beside the gated townships of the Super Corridor, the towers of Mahalaxmi Nagar and Nipania, and the plotted colonies along the Ring Road. It is also where the metro already runs.
This guide covers two zones, Vijay Nagar & AB Road and Nipania, Bicholi & Ring Road: how a tutor gets to each locality today, gate or door, and when a class starts on time.
How do the two zones differ?
The Yellow Line of the Indore Metro is the dividing fact. Its first five stations, along the Super Corridor, entered service on 31 May 2025. The second section, from Super Corridor 2 through MR 10 Road, ISBT, Hira Nagar, Bapat Chauraha, Meghdoot Garden and Vijay Nagar Chauraha to Malviya Nagar Chauraha, was inaugurated on 5 September 2026 and began regular service the next day. Beyond Malviya Nagar Chauraha, stations at Mumtaj Bag Colony, Khajrana Square, Bengali Square and Patrakar Colony are approved but not open, so most of the Ring Road zone still depends on the road.
| Zone | Metro today | Main roads | Most common homes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vijay Nagar & AB Road | Open: Super Corridor stations, MR 10 Road, ISBT, Hira Nagar, Meghdoot Garden, Vijay Nagar Chauraha | AB Road, MR-9, MR-10, the Super Corridor, the Airport Road | IDA plotted houses and flats, apartment societies, gated townships |
| Nipania, Bicholi & Ring Road | Malviya Nagar Chauraha, the current end of the line; Khajrana Square and Bengali Square planned, not open | The six-lane Ring Road built by the IDA, AB Road, the bypass, Kanadia Road | High-rise towers, gated societies, plotted colonies, older lanes in Khajrana |
The AB Road BRTS corridor, which ran from 2013, has been dismantled following a High Court order in February 2025, so AB Road now behaves like any other busy main road at the evening peak.
Vijay Nagar & AB Road
This is Indore's newer commercial centre as well as a large residential belt. Vijay Nagar lies between MR-9, MR-10 and the Eastern Ring Road, with AB Road running through it, and the IDA schemes numbered 54, 74, 78 and 114 surround it. Sukhliya, once rural, grew up along MR-10 and the Airport Road, and the Super Corridor links AB Road with the Ujjain road and the airport.
- Vijay Nagar: older IDA flats and plotted houses alongside newer apartment societies. Vijay Nagar Chauraha station is on the Yellow Line. Societies register the tutor at the gate once; plotted lanes are door to door. AB Road and the main squares fill up in the evening shopping hours, so start early.
- Scheme 54: part of Vijay Nagar, with plotted houses, IDA housing and apartment buildings mixed with many shops, offices and hotels. Meghdoot Garden, a large public garden inside the scheme, gives its name to the nearest station. Parking on the commercial lanes takes time.
- Scheme 74: including Scheme 74-C, a green layout of residential plots and independent houses with some apartment buildings. The tutor usually comes straight to the door, and parking is easier than in the commercial blocks. A metro traveller finishes the trip from Vijay Nagar by auto.
- Scheme 78: sectors and slices of plotted houses and IDA homes, with the Aranya Nagar pocket inside. Laxmibai Nagar is the nearest railway station. Evening traffic and heavy vehicles build up towards Dewas Naka, so plan the slot around that.
- Scheme 114: apartment buildings and plotted houses next to Scheme 78, Scheme 74 and the MR-11 area. Laxmibai Nagar and Mangliya Gaon stations are the nearest rail points. Apartment buildings register the tutor with the guard once.
- Sukhliya: colonies such as Heera Nagar, Nyay Nagar, Sunder Nagar, Shyam Nagar and Kabir Khedi, mostly plotted houses, so no gate routine. Hira Nagar, MR 10 Road and ISBT stations serve it. MR-10 is busy all day, so late afternoon or after the evening peak works better.
- Super Corridor: gated townships of plots, row houses and apartments beside large office campuses and open land. The Super Corridor 1 and 2 stations opened in September 2026. Many townships are still filling up, so most tutors come in from Vijay Nagar or Sukhliya, and online classes help for specialist subjects.
Nipania, Bicholi & Ring Road
The Ring Road holds this zone together. Its main junctions include Mahalaxmi, Malviya Nagar, Khajrana Ganesh Temple and Bengali Square, with a flyover at Bengali Square. In the north-east, Nipania and Mahalaxmi Nagar have filled with towers and gated societies; towards the south-east, Pipliyahana, Bicholi Mardana and the IDA schemes numbered 94 and 140 are still growing, with plots and newer apartment projects.
- Nipania: apartment societies and gated projects alongside builder floors, plots and houses, near Tulsi Nagar, Hare Krishna Vihar and Pipliya Kumar. Malviya Nagar Chauraha is the nearest station, with an auto after it. Gate registration happens once.
- Mahalaxmi Nagar: a hub of high-rise apartments since the 2000s, plus plotted layouts with wide internal roads. Malviya Nagar Chauraha, the current end of the Yellow Line, is next door, and Laxmibai Nagar is the nearest railway station. The Mahalaxmi junction on the ring road is crowded at office closing time.
- Khajrana: an older locality known for the Khajrana Ganesh Temple, with older lanes, houses and newer colonies such as Ganeshpuri. Khajrana Square is an approved station that has not opened. Parking in the old lanes is limited, and the temple junction is busy on festival days and weekends, so weekday classes are easier.
- Pipliyahana: planned layouts of plotted houses and apartment buildings at a main ring-road junction, close to Bengali Square and Kanadia Road. No metro serves it yet. Buildings ask visitors to sign in.
- Kanadia Road: apartment buildings, houses and plots running out from the Bengali Square side, with business parks along the road. Bengali Square station is planned, not open. Traffic gathers at Bengali Square and on the ring road in the evening, so an early slot runs more smoothly.
- Scheme 94: an IDA scheme on the Ring Road near Swami Vivekanand Nagar, Manbhavan Nagar and Telephone Nagar, with IDA houses, plots and apartment buildings. There is no station, so tutors come by road; the Ring Road stays busy through the evening, so choose an after-school slot.
- Scheme 140: apartment buildings and plotted houses near Pipliyahana, Brijeshwari Annexe and Ashish Nagar, close to the Eastern Ring Road and the Bhopal road. Security registers the tutor once in buildings. Avoid the evening rush at the Pipliyahana junction.
- Bicholi Mardana: on the eastern edge near the bypass, Bhuri Tekri and Bengali Square, with plots and houses and apartment projects now coming up. Some parts are still developing, so most tutors travel in from Bengali Square, Pipliyahana or Vijay Nagar.
Timing a weekday class, road by road
| If the tutor uses | Busiest | What usually works |
|---|---|---|
| AB Road through Vijay Nagar | Evening shopping hours | A class that starts soon after school |
| MR-10 and the Airport Road | Through the day, worst at the evening peak | Late afternoon, or after the peak |
| The Ring Road junctions | Office closing time | Before or after that window |
| The metro to Vijay Nagar or Malviya Nagar | Less affected by road traffic | A later evening slot is often possible near a station |
Keep the slot fixed from week to week, so the tutor can plan the trip and gate staff recognise them.

Frequently asked questions
Which metro stations serve Vijay Nagar?
Vijay Nagar Chauraha and Meghdoot Garden, both on the Yellow Line section that began regular service on 6 September 2026. Hira Nagar, MR 10 Road and ISBT serve Sukhliya nearby. A tutor riding in from the Super Corridor side can finish the trip on foot or by auto to your lane.
Is the metro open to Khajrana or Bengali Square?
Not yet. The Yellow Line currently ends at Malviya Nagar Chauraha. Mumtaj Bag Colony, Khajrana Square, Bengali Square and Patrakar Colony are approved stations that have not opened. For now, tutors reach Khajrana, Pipliyahana and Kanadia Road by auto, city bus or two-wheeler along the Ring Road.
Do tutors need a gate pass in Nipania and Mahalaxmi Nagar?
Usually, yes. Gated societies and towers register visitors, so share the tutor's name, tower and flat number with security before the free demo. After the first visit the routine is quick. In the plotted layouts, the tutor comes straight to your door without any gate step.
Are there enough tutors on the Super Corridor?
Fewer tutors live on the corridor itself, because many townships are still filling up. Most travel in from Vijay Nagar or Sukhliya, often using the metro, which reached the Super Corridor 1 and 2 stations in September 2026. Online classes are a practical addition for specialist or senior subjects.
How much does home tuition cost in east Indore?
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, which you see before the free demo.
