Tutoring in Indore: what to know
Indore has four zones on NXTutors. The planned north-east around Vijay Nagar is a grid of numbered development-authority schemes with plotted houses, authority housing and apartment buildings, plus Sukhliya's colonies and the townships along the Super Corridor that are still filling up. Palasia and central Indore, along AB Road, mix houses, flats, clinics and offices. The Ring Road side to the east joins high-rise Mahalaxmi Nagar and Nipania's societies with older Khajrana lanes, and the south-west from Bhawarkua to Rau runs from a busy student hub to quieter independent houses and newer projects. Plotted homes are doorstep visits; gated townships keep a register.
Indore's Yellow Line is new and mostly serves one zone so far. Its first stretch opened along the Super Corridor in May 2025, and since September 2026 trains have continued through MR 10 Road, Hira Nagar and Vijay Nagar Chauraha to Malviya Nagar Chauraha. Elsewhere, tutors travel by city bus, auto or two-wheeler, with Palasia and the Ring Road stations still planned. The busy points are the squares around Vijay Nagar in evening shopping hours, parking near Palasia and Geeta Bhawan, Ring Road junctions at office closing time, Khajrana on festival days, and the roads around Bhawarkua, which stay crowded with students for most of the day.
Indore families study under several boards: CBSE across the city, the state's MP Board, CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and a smaller group following the IB or Cambridge IGCSE. Board, class and medium are matched together, and for MP Board students a tutor who can move between Hindi and English terms is often worth asking for. Palasia is an education hub, so many students want school support fitted around their coaching timetable. In Rau, Silicon City, Bicholi Mardana and the newer Super Corridor townships fewer tutors live close by, so online sessions for specialist subjects work alongside a nearby home tutor.

-
2
Upload your ID; our team reviews it
Upload a government photo ID. Our team reviews it before your profile is marked Verified, and each ID number can be tied to only one tutor account. This is an identity check only.
-
3
Your profile carries the Verified badge
After review, your profile carries the Verified badge, showing your boards, travel zones from Vijay Nagar to Rau, the hours you keep free and your own fee.
-
4
A family nearby sends a request
A family in Palasia or Nipania sends a request. NXTutors shortlists two or three: tutors living there, then those who travel there, then the zone, the city and online tutors.
-
5
Free demo; the family sees your fee first
The family sees your fee first, and lesson one is a free demo at their home where we ask a parent to be present, so you can check the level and the journey.

Teach at home, online or both
Then teach at homes in your zones, online for students across India, or both, perhaps a weekend visit around a coaching timetable with online classes on weekdays.
Boards you can teach in Indore
Indore tutors teach CBSE, the MP Board, CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and for a smaller group the IB or Cambridge IGCSE. MP Board students may study in Hindi or English, so state on your profile which medium you teach and whether you can explain terms in both. Take MP Board rules and dates only from the board's official notices on mpbse.nic.in, CBSE curricula and sample papers from cbseacademic.nic.in, and CISCE regulations from cisce.org, and use the IB and Cambridge sites for subject guides and past papers before a demo.
BSEMP
Class 10 (High School); Class 12 (Higher Secondary)
Indore's MP Board students sit the Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh examinations at Class 10 and Class 12, and may study in Hindi or English. A tutor who can explain terms in both media is useful here. Take rules, dates and paper patterns only from mpbse.nic.in, and teach from the board's prescribed books.
CBSE schools are spread across Indore, from Vijay Nagar's IDA schemes to the Rau side. Ground lessons in NCERT, practise against the sample papers and marking schemes on cbseacademic.nic.in, and fit your slot around any coaching the student attends near Palasia or Bhawarkua.
CISCE
ICSE (Class 10); ISC (Class 12)
Indore's CISCE schools teach towards ICSE in Class 10 and ISC in Class 12. Answers are long, the syllabus is wide and English has set literature, so a tutor here needs a revision plan that reaches every chapter and leaves room for project work. Use cisce.org for regulations and specimen papers.
IB
Diploma Programme (Classes 11–12)
A smaller group of Indore students follow the IB Diploma, taught as named courses such as Maths Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, at Standard or Higher Level. Internally assessed work counts towards the grade, and a tutor guides it without writing it. Subject guides are on ibo.org.
For Cambridge IGCSE, command words, the correct tier and marking against past schemes matter most. With fewer IGCSE students than CBSE or MP Board ones, a tutor who adds online teaching can serve families anywhere in Indore. Read the syllabus on cambridgeinternational.org, or Pearson's site for Edexcel.
