What home tuition costs in Indore

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Economics tuition in Indore: CBSE, MP Board, ISC and IB, and the Yellow Line effect

Economics asks a student to define precisely, draw accurately, calculate carefully and argue to a conclusion, and it is rare for all four to be weak at once. The useful question for an Indore family is which one is costing marks, and on which board's paper: CBSE, the MP Board, CISCE's ISC, or the IB and Cambridge courses that a smaller group follows. NXTutors matches on that first, then on your scheme or colony and how a tutor can reach it, which since September 2026 can include the metro through Vijay Nagar. This NXTutors Academic Team page covers Indore's side; the subject itself is set out in our national economics home tutor guide.

Board papers in economics: what each one weighs

Economics for Indore students by board, from the official syllabus and assessment documents
BoardWhat carries the marksAssessment
CBSE (030), Class 11Statistics for Economics 40; microeconomics 40, with demand and supply units of 14 each80-mark paper and 20-mark project
CBSE (030), Class 12Macroeconomics 40 (income and employment 12, national income 10, budget 6, money and banking 6, balance of payments 6); Indian Economic Development 4080-mark paper and 20-mark project with viva
ISC (856)Long answers: five of eight questions at 12 marks make up 60 of 80Part I 20 marks; two 10-mark projects
MP BoardThe board's own economics syllabus and booksIts own paper, in Hindi or English medium
Cambridge IGCSE (0455) / A Level (9708)IGCSE six sections; A Level adds data response and unstructured essaysMultiple choice plus written papers
IB SL / HLFour units through nine key conceptsPapers 1–2, HL Paper 3, three-commentary portfolio

CBSE's question design puts roughly 40% of marks on recall and understanding, 30% on application and 30% on analysis and evaluation, so a tutor should set questions the student has not seen, not only textbook exercises.

A government budget numerical, worked

The government budget unit is only 6 marks in CBSE Class 12, but its numericals are quick wins when set out well. Suppose total expenditure is ₹500 crore, revenue receipts ₹350 crore, non-debt capital receipts ₹30 crore, and interest payments ₹40 crore. Fiscal deficit is total expenditure minus revenue receipts and non-debt capital receipts: 500 − 350 − 30 = ₹120 crore, which is what the government must borrow. Primary deficit removes interest payments: 120 − 40 = ₹80 crore, the borrowing needed for spending other than interest on past loans. Students lose these marks by naming the wrong deficit or skipping the formula line. A tutor makes them write the definition, the formula and the meaning, every time.

A two-year outline for a CBSE economics student

  1. Class 11, first half. Statistics from the start: organising data in tables, then averages, correlation and index numbers, with one line of interpretation under every answer.
  2. Class 11, second half. Microeconomics: consumer's equilibrium, demand and elasticity, producer behaviour and supply, and price under perfect competition, each with a diagram the student draws from memory.
  3. Class 12, first term. National income aggregates, money and banking, and the multiplier, practised as numericals with the formula written first.
  4. Class 12, later. The budget and balance of payments, then Indian Economic Development, where long answers need structure and a closing judgement; alongside, the project and viva.

A tutor adapts this to the school's own order of chapters. The point of the outline is that statistics and diagrams are built early, not crammed in the last month.

MP Board economics

The Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh conducts the state's Class 10 and 12 examinations, and students take them in Hindi or English medium. We describe its economics course in general terms only: the board sets the syllabus, prescribes the books and writes the paper, and its scheme and dates should be read on its official website. A tutor should teach from the prescribed book, practise the board's past papers and use the textbook's own terms, in the student's medium, for definitions and diagram labels.

IB Economics and Cambridge A Level

The IB course examines choices in individual markets, the national economy and the global economy through nine key concepts. Both levels write Paper 1 (extended response) and Paper 2 (data response); HL adds Paper 3, a policy paper, and the internal assessment is three commentaries on news extracts, 30% at SL and 20% at HL. A tutor can coach the skill and explain the criteria, but IB academic-integrity rules forbid them from writing any part of the commentaries. Cambridge A Level essays are unstructured, unlike the two-part AS essays, so planning must be taught explicitly. For wider IB help, see our IB tutors in Indore page.

Coaching, CUET and the home tutor's role

Palasia is an education hub full of coaching institutes. If your child attends one, a home tutor's job is to support school economics alongside coaching rather than repeat it. Put the coaching timetable in your request so lessons do not collide. For central universities, the NTA's CUET (UG) 2026 bulletin lists Economics / Business Economics (code 309) as a domain subject: 50 compulsory questions in 60 minutes on the NCERT Class 12 syllabus. Check the bulletin for your child's year; objective practice works best on top of secure board preparation.

How tutors reach each Indore zone

Indore's four zones: metro, roads and a scheduling tip
ZoneMetro and roadsScheduling tip
Vijay Nagar & AB RoadThe only zone the Yellow Line serves so far, with stops through the schemes and along the Super CorridorStart before the evening shopping rush round the squares
Palasia & Central IndoreNo station open; city bus, auto or two-wheeler along AB RoadTight parking near Palasia and Geeta Bhawan squares
Nipania, Bicholi & Ring RoadMalviya Nagar Chauraha is the metro's eastern end; the Ring Road links the restAvoid office closing time at Ring Road junctions
Bhawarkua, Rajendra Nagar & RauNo metro; city buses on AB Road and rail stations at Rajendra Nagar and RauA slightly later evening slot towards Rau

Six Indore areas, briefly

  • Vijay Nagar: an IDA suburb that doubles as a commercial hub, with Vijay Nagar Chauraha station on the Yellow Line.
  • Scheme No. 114: apartment buildings and plotted houses near AB Road; the Vijay Nagar stations are the nearest metro points.
  • Old Palasia: dense and central, with clinics, shops and coaching institutes; a tutor on a two-wheeler or auto is easier than one in a car.
  • Mahalaxmi Nagar: high-rise apartments by the Eastern Ring Road; a tutor can take the metro to Malviya Nagar Chauraha and finish by auto.
  • Pipliyahana: planned layouts of houses and apartments near Bengali Square, where a station is planned but not open.
  • Rajendra Nagar: green, sector-based housing on AB Road towards Rau, with its own railway station.

Home or online economics lessons in Indore?

Economics adapts well to online teaching: whiteboard diagrams, shared articles and on-screen essay marking. For IB and A Level, online opens the search to tutors across India, which matters because we will not promise that a specialist lives in your scheme. Home lessons still pay off for Class 11 statistics, where a tutor beside the student catches arithmetic slips at once, and for students who drift on screen. With the Yellow Line now running through Vijay Nagar, homes near a station can draw on tutors from further along the line.

Questions to answer after the free demo

  • Did the tutor ask for the board, class, medium and, for IB, the level?
  • Did your child do the drawing, labelling and calculating?
  • Was each numerical set out with a formula line and a meaning?
  • Did the tutor ask for a judgement, not just points?
  • For MP Board, did they use the prescribed book in the right language?
  • For IB, did they say clearly that they will not write the commentaries?
  • Did the lesson finish with a task and a way to check it?

If the answers fall short, we set up a demo with the next tutor on your shortlist, and switching later is free. Tutors who join go through an ID check before their profile is marked Verified.

Economics Home Tutor in Indore: common questions

What hourly rate do economics tutors quote to Indore families?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own rate, and you see every shortlisted fee before the demo. Online lessons can widen the choice for IB and A Level economics.

What details help NXTutors pick economics tutors for an Indore student?

To request an economics tutor in Indore, give us the board, class and medium, the weakest skill, any coaching timetable, your scheme or colony, free times, and home or online. We shortlist two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

Where do the big marks sit in Class 12 CBSE economics for an Indore student?

For Indore students, CBSE Class 12 economics splits evenly: 40 marks for macroeconomics and 40 for Indian Economic Development. Inside macroeconomics, income and employment is the largest unit at 12 marks and national income carries 10. A 20-mark project with a viva completes the year.

Can an Indore family find an MP Board economics tutor in Hindi medium?

Yes, an Indore family can request an MP Board economics tutor who teaches in Hindi or English medium. The board sets its own syllabus, books and paper, so we look for a tutor who teaches from the prescribed book, practises its past papers and uses the textbook's own terms for definitions and diagram labels.

Does a student at Palasia coaching in Indore also need an economics tutor?

A student at Palasia coaching in Indore needs an economics tutor only if school economics is slipping. A home tutor can then mark board-style answers, fix diagrams and numericals, and support the project without repeating coaching. Share the coaching timetable so the lesson sits before or after it rather than in a rushed gap.

Is there an IB economics tutor near Vijay Nagar in Indore?

You can request an IB economics tutor near Vijay Nagar in Indore who has taught SL or HL and knows the commentary portfolio. We also look for one who can prepare HL students for Paper 3. We cannot promise one lives in your scheme, so online lessons or a tutor who rides the Yellow Line are often the practical choices.

Can Indore students learn economics online as well as at home?

For most senior Indore students, online economics tuition works as well as home lessons: diagrams on a shared whiteboard, articles on both screens and essays marked on screen. Home lessons still pay off for Class 11 statistics, where arithmetic slips show at once. A weekend home lesson plus a shorter online one midweek keeps traffic from cancelling the week.

Will an Indore economics tutor cover CUET Business Economics alongside the boards?

Usually yes, an Indore economics tutor can add CUET preparation once board work is secure. NTA's CUET (UG) 2026 bulletin lists Economics / Business Economics (code 309) as a domain subject with 50 compulsory questions in 60 minutes, based on the NCERT Class 12 syllabus. Check the bulletin for your child's year.

How should an Indore student solve a CBSE government budget numerical in economics?

An Indore student should solve a CBSE economics budget numerical by writing the definition, the formula and the meaning every time. Fiscal deficit is total expenditure minus revenue receipts and non-debt capital receipts; primary deficit removes interest payments from it. Marks are lost by naming the wrong deficit or skipping the formula line.

When should an Indore CBSE student start economics statistics and diagrams?

An Indore CBSE student should start economics statistics and diagrams early in Class 11, not cram them in the last month. Statistics for Economics carries 40 marks in Class 11, covering tables, averages, correlation and index numbers. Microeconomics follows, each diagram drawn from memory, before Class 12 macroeconomics numericals.

What does ISC economics assess for Indore students?

For Indore students, ISC Economics (856) is an 80-mark paper where long answers dominate: five of eight questions at 12 marks make up 60 marks, with Part I worth 20. Two 10-mark projects complete the assessment. A tutor should practise structured long answers with diagrams and a clear conclusion.
