Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

When a Jalgaon family starts thinking about engineering entrance, the first question is rarely about a tutor. It is whether to join a batch, and which one. That is a fair place to start, and this page does not pretend a home tutor replaces every class. It sets out what a group class does well, where a one-to-one JEE tutor at home or online earns the fee, and how families in the southern colonies, around Mehrun Lake and on the Pimprala side arrange the week so that junior college, the HSC or CBSE board and entrance practice all get their share. The exam itself is covered at length on our national JEE home tutor page.
JEE (Main) is conducted by the National Testing Agency. In the 2026 information bulletin, Paper 1 was an online, computer-based paper covering mathematics, physics and chemistry. Each subject had 20 multiple-choice questions and 5 questions with a numerical answer, so the paper carried 75 questions and 300 marks. A right answer earned four marks and a wrong one lost a mark, in both kinds of question. There were two sessions, the better score was the one used, and the paper was offered in 13 languages.
JEE (Advanced) is the second stage for those who qualify through Main under the rules of its brochure. The 2026 edition had two papers, both compulsory and both set in English and Hindi, and nobody could sit it more than twice, and then only in consecutive years. Many Maharashtra students also sit MHT-CET, which the State CET Cell runs for a PCM group and a PCB group. Every one of these rules is set afresh each year, so read jeemain.nta.nic.in, jeeadv.ac.in and cetcell.mahacet.org before you build a plan on them.
Neither choice is right for every child, because they do different jobs. A batch runs on a fixed syllabus order, sets regular tests and puts your child among others aiming at the same exam. A one-to-one tutor works at one student's pace, can stop on the step that went wrong and can bend the plan around the school timetable. NXTutors does not run batches; we match families with tutors who teach one student at a time, at home or online.
| What you are weighing | In a batch | With one tutor |
|---|---|---|
| Pace | Fixed by the batch plan for everyone | Your child's grasp of each chapter |
| What happens to a doubt? | Asked in class if there is time, or carried home | Worked through in the same sitting |
| Tests | Regular, with a rank among classmates | Set and marked by the tutor, with every lost mark reviewed |
| Board answers and practicals | Usually outside the class's scope | Can be built into the week |
| Travel | Your child goes to the class | The tutor comes to you, or teaches online |
A student who keeps up comfortably in a batch may need nothing more. A student who is quiet in a crowd, falls behind in one subject, or loses marks to careless working usually gains more from an hour with one teacher than from a second batch. We compare the two at more length in a guide to coaching or a home tutor; its examples come from Gurgaon, and the same logic holds in Jalgaon.
Plenty of senior students in the southern colonies already combine junior college with an entrance class. For them a tutor should support the class, not compete with it. Four pieces of work fit that role:
Share the class timetable and its test days with the tutor at the start. New chapters should stay out of test weeks, and those weeks are better spent on review.
Entrance practice rewards fast, objective answers. Board papers reward written working. The size of that gap depends on the course your child follows:
For the subjects one at a time, see our Jalgaon maths, physics and chemistry pages.
Jalgaon's weather shapes a study plan more than families expect. The hot season runs from March to mid-June, and the monsoon follows from mid-June to September. A schedule that suits November can fall apart in April.
| Part of the year | What usually happens | How the tutor fits |
|---|---|---|
| Monsoon months | New Class 11 or 12 chapters arrive quickly | Weekly sessions; keep a fixed slot that does not depend on dry roads |
| Cooler months | Terminal exams, practicals, then board revision | Board writing first in those weeks, entrance practice around it |
| Board season | HSC or CBSE papers | Short review sessions only; no new entrance chapters |
| Hot season | Entrance sittings and holiday study | Move home lessons to early morning or evening, or switch them online |
Agree the summer timetable at the start of the year rather than in April. A tutor who has already planned for the heat will not lose a month to it.
Tutors in Jalgaon mostly travel by two-wheeler, so a tutor from your own group of colonies is easier to keep for a full year than one crossing the city.
| Locality | Nearby tutors usually come from | Details to share first |
|---|---|---|
| Mahabal | Adarsh Nagar, Samata Nagar, Yashwant Nagar | The colony off Mahabal Road and a landmark by your gate |
| Samata Nagar | Mahabal, Adarsh Nagar, Mohadi Road | Lane, house number, and your child's class test days |
| Mehrun | Tambapura, Kanchan Nagar, Ayodhya Nagar | Which side of Mehrun Lake you are on, and the lane you turn into |
| Ayodhya Nagar | Mehrun, Kanchan Nagar, Tambapura | Which side of the industrial area you live on, plus a map pin |
| Dadawadi | Pimprala, Shiv Colony, Khote Nagar | Lane, house number and a landmark a delivery rider would know |
| Shiv Colony | Dadawadi, Ganesh Colony, Ramanand Nagar | Which side of the colony you live on, and a corner shop |
The zone pages for Mahabal and Yashwant Nagar, Mehrun and Tambapura and Pimprala and Khote Nagar add timing advice. Each Jalgaon area appears on the Jalgaon home tutors page, and the Jalgaon home tuition guide covers each zone in turn.
| Subject | Where it usually works | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Physics | At home | The tutor needs to watch how a problem is set up, line by line |
| Mathematics | At home for new work, online for test review | Long working is easier at a table; a finished paper reviews well on a shared screen |
| Chemistry | Often online | Reactions and trends suit short, frequent checks; numericals may still need a home session |
For the hardest JEE Advanced problems, the right teacher may live in Pune or Nagpur rather than down the road, and an online lesson brings them to your table. Prop a phone above the notebook so every line of working is visible to the tutor. Our online tuition in Jalgaon page and our home versus online article say more. Subject plans: JEE physics tutors, and topic guides for maths, physics and chemistry.
A demo that does not click costs you nothing: we line up another, and changing tutor later is also free. Our checklist for demo classes lists further questions.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors price their own lessons, and the fee is on view before the demo is booked. For what pushes a fee up or down, read the pricing guide or our Jalgaon home tuition fees post.
To start, tell us the class, the board, the subjects that worry you, the timetable of any class your child attends, and your colony with a landmark. You receive two or three matched tutors, and the opening lesson is a free demo. Every tutor who signs up goes through an ID check, and the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete; see how it works. Tutor profiles are open to browse. Medical aspirants should read the NEET page for Jalgaon, and teachers looking for students can see tuition jobs in Jalgaon.
It depends on how your child learns, because a batch and a one-to-one tutor do different jobs. A batch sets the pace, runs regular tests and offers company; a tutor works on your own child's gaps at home or online. Many students use both, with the tutor clearing class doubts. NXTutors offers one-to-one tutors only, not batches.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each JEE tutor in Jalgaon sets their own fee, and you see it before the free demo. Ask how many sessions a week they suggest for Class 11 or Class 12.
Send the class, board, subjects, any class timetable and your colony with a landmark off Mahabal Road or Mohadi Road. We line up two or three matched tutors, preferring those from nearby southern colonies, and show each fee before the first lesson. That lesson is a free demo, and switching tutor later costs nothing.
Yes, and a good JEE tutor in Jalgaon should plan for it from the first month. HSC physics, chemistry and maths papers want derivations and full steps, and the board's schemes allow log tables but not calculators. Ask the tutor to set at least one written board answer each week beside the objective practice.
The 2026 bulletin set Paper 1 as a computer-based test with 25 questions each in maths, physics and chemistry. In each subject, 20 were multiple-choice and 5 needed a numerical answer, for 300 marks in all, with four marks for a right answer and one deducted for a wrong one. Check jeemain.nta.nic.in for the current year.
Many Maharashtra students do sit MHT-CET as well, and preparing for both is manageable because the chapters overlap. The State CET Cell runs it, with a PCM group for engineering aspirants. A tutor can plan shared practice and add separate timed tests nearer the exam. Read the rules only on cetcell.mahacet.org.
Often, yes, because the western colonies are spread out and fewer tutors may live in each one. A common plan is a home tutor for physics, where the set-up of each problem needs watching, and online lessons for chemistry or test review. Prop a phone above the notebook so every line of working is visible.
Plan the hot season from March to mid-June at the start of the year, not in April. Home lessons can move to early morning or late evening, and some can switch online for those weeks. Entrance practice often peaks in the same months, so a tutor who has already planned for the heat loses less time.
Bring three problems your child could not finish and see whether the tutor finds the broken step and lets your child complete the working. Ask how negative marking should change guessing, how HSC or CBSE written answers fit the plan, and whether the slot will hold through April and May.
Yes, a tutor can pair each English term with the word your child already knows for the first weeks, then let English take over. The 2026 JEE Main bulletin listed 13 paper languages, so check the current list before choosing. Decide early, because switching languages late in Class 12 costs practice time.
