Jalgaon Home Tuition Guide: Navi Peth, Ramanand Nagar, Pimprala, Mahabal and Mehrun
Jalgaon, the district headquarters in the Khandesh part of North Maharashtra, spreads out from its old trading peths around the railway station. For home tuition, its neighbourhoods fall into five groups: the old peths and Shivaji Nagar across the line; the Ramanand Nagar colonies around Ring Road; Pimprala and the western colonies towards the Girna; Mahabal and the southern colonies; and Mehrun and Tambapura on the south-eastern side. All twenty localities follow, one at a time.
Landmarks a Jalgaon tutor will know
Tutors here mostly travel by scooter or bike, and they find a home faster from a name everyone in the city uses than from a postal address. Jalgaon Junction railway station sits at the edge of the old peths. The Shivaji Nagar bridge, just east of the station, links Shivaji Nagar with the centre, while the Pimprala flyover lies to the west of the station. Ring Road runs through the central colonies, Mahabal Road and Mohadi Road lead into the south, and Mehrun Lake is the reference point for the south-east.
| Zone | Landmark to name | Typical homes | What trips up a first visit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Navi Peth and the Old Peths | Jalgaon Junction, a nearby chowk, the Shivaji Nagar bridge | Older family houses, homes above shops, some apartment blocks | House numbers that do not run in order |
| Ramanand Nagar and Ring Road | Ring Road and the nearest chowk | Family houses and apartment buildings on inner lanes | Many small colonies under one big name |
| Pimprala and Khote Nagar | The Pimprala flyover, the road towards Bambhori | Family houses and newer apartment buildings, spread out | Long distances inside one large area |
| Mahabal and Yashwant Nagar | Mahabal Road, Mohadi Road | Family houses and apartment buildings | Colonies whose edges run into one another |
| Mehrun and Tambapura | Mehrun Lake, the industrial area | Older family houses and newer colonies | Not knowing which side of the lake to head for |
Navi Peth and the Old Peths
The peths are Jalgaon's older quarters, close to the station and close to one another. Lanes are narrow, and many families work close to home.
Navi Peth: a busy trading quarter where homes and workplaces share the same few lanes. Lead the address with the lane and a shop beside your door, then the house number. Families who work late often ask for a class after closing time; say the latest start that suits you.
Baliram Peth: a central peth between Navi Peth and Jilha Peth, where several generations often live under one roof. Agree on one quiet corner and one fixed hour before the tutor arrives. For directions, the colour of your building and a well-known shop work better than a number.
Jilha Peth: a link between the old lanes and the Ramanand Nagar and Ring Road side, so tutors reach it from several directions. Give the building or complex name, the floor and the nearest chowk. Being this central usually means a wider choice of timings.
Shivaji Nagar: across the railway line from the peths, joined to the centre by the Shivaji Nagar bridge. Say first that you are on the Shivaji Nagar side and whether the tutor should cross by the bridge, then add a map pin.
Ramanand Nagar and Ring Road
A band of residential colonies around Ring Road, lying between the peths and the western side of the city. The colonies touch each other, so the pool of tutors nearby is larger than any single name suggests.
Ramanand Nagar: one of the city's larger suburbs, made of many smaller colonies. Write the colony name as well as Ramanand Nagar, plus the main road or chowk you turn off. Tutors from Ganesh Colony, Tagore Nagar and Jilha Peth often teach here.
Ganesh Colony: beside Ramanand Nagar, Shiv Colony and Ring Road. Families here tend to keep one fixed weekday slot all year. Give the lane, a nearby shop and the colour of your gate.
Tagore Nagar: between Jilha Peth, Baliram Peth and Ramanand Nagar, so tutors from the old centre and the newer colonies both reach it easily. Name the nearest chowk and the shop or building on your corner.
Vidyut Colony: a residential pocket near Ramanand Nagar, Shiv Colony and Ring Road. If only a grandparent or an older child will be home during the class, tell the tutor in advance, and agree how a short update reaches you afterwards.
Pimprala and Khote Nagar
The western side of Jalgaon, out towards Bambhori and Avhane, with the Girna flowing through the western part of the city. Colonies here are spread out, and fewer tutors may live inside each one than in the centre. Many families combine a home tutor for one subject with an online class for another.
Pimprala: a large suburb with an older core and newer colonies around it, west of the station near the Pimprala flyover. Never write Pimprala alone; add the colony name and a map pin, since one end can be a long ride from the other.
Khote Nagar: on the western edge, near Pimprala, Dadawadi and the road to Bambhori. Say whether you are nearer the Pimprala side or the Bambhori side, and describe the lane from the main road you turn off. If one subject goes online, set up a laptop or tablet with the camera on the notebook.
Dadawadi: near Pimprala, Khote Nagar and Shiv Colony. Plan the hot months early here: many families move classes to the morning or later evening from March. Give the landmark you would give a delivery rider.
Shiv Colony: between Dadawadi, Ganesh Colony and Ramanand Nagar, and home to many families with more than one child in school. Back-to-back classes for siblings save the tutor a second trip; ask each tutor about their terms for two children. Say which side of the colony you live on.
Mahabal and Yashwant Nagar
The southern colonies along Mahabal Road and towards Mohadi Road, with Ganapati Nagar and Wagh Nagar among the smaller colonies in between. These areas sit close together, so a tutor from one usually reaches the others easily.
Mahabal: a residential part of the south along Mahabal Road. Name the colony off Mahabal Road and a landmark near your gate. A weekday evening class with one longer Sunday session is a pattern many families use.
Adarsh Nagar: near Mahabal, Ganapati Nagar and Tambapura. English is a frequent request here, from grammar to reading aloud and writing a clear paragraph, and spoken English suits an online class well. Give the lane, the nearest chowk and a building most neighbours know.
Yashwant Nagar: among Mahabal, Wagh Nagar, Samata Nagar and Ramanand Nagar, with many families of primary-age children. Short classes three days a week often suit Classes 4 to 6. Because Yashwant Nagar shares its edges with several colonies, give the colony name and the lane.
Samata Nagar: near Mahabal, Adarsh Nagar and Mohadi Road. If your child needs a gentle start after a hard term, say so in the request; it changes who the right tutor is. Share the lane, the house number and a familiar landmark, and keep the same slot each week.
Mehrun and Tambapura
The south-eastern side of the city, around Mehrun Lake and the older industrial area. The lake is how most people give directions here. With shift work common, weekend mornings are asked for as often as weekday evenings.
Mehrun: the area around Mehrun Lake, near Tambapura, Ayodhya Nagar and Kanchan Nagar. Tell the tutor which side of the lake you live on and the lane you turn into.
Tambapura: close to Mehrun, Adarsh Nagar and Ayodhya Nagar. Neighbouring lanes can look alike to a newcomer, so give a well-known shop and the nearest chowk.
Kanchan Nagar: a residential area near Mehrun, Baliram Peth and Shivaji Nagar. Say whether you are nearer the Mehrun side or the Shivaji Nagar side, then add the lane and the closest landmark.
Ayodhya Nagar: beside the industrial area, near Mehrun, Kanchan Nagar and Tambapura. Say which side of the industrial area you are on and send a map pin. If a parent works shifts, agree a backup slot with the tutor at the start.
Boards, subjects and entrance preparation
Children across Jalgaon study on the Maharashtra State Board in Marathi, semi-English or English medium, or in CBSE and ICSE schools. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, whose official site is mahahsscboard.in, conducts the SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12) examinations. MHT-CET is run by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, and JEE Main and NEET (UG) by the National Testing Agency.
- By board: the Maharashtra Board (SSC and HSC) page, the CBSE page and the ICSE and ISC page for Jalgaon.
- By subject, at home or online: maths, science, physics, chemistry, biology and English.
- For science students eyeing an entrance test alongside HSC: JEE and NEET tutors in Jalgaon.
Plenty of senior students already attend coaching classes in Jalgaon. A home tutor fits beside that when the job is narrow, such as board answer-writing, HSC practical records or doubts left from the week, and when the slot leaves the student time for self-study.
Timing through the Jalgaon year
The hot season runs from March to mid-June, and the monsoon from mid-June to September. Early-morning and later-evening classes suit the hot months; for the rains, agree whether a stopped visit becomes an online class or a weekend make-up. Plan the weeks before the Class 10 and Class 12 board papers with the tutor early, using the timetable on the board's own site.
Home, online or a mix
Younger children, and students who focus better with someone beside them, usually do well with a tutor in the room. A screen works for a specialist who lives far away, a late slot, or the hottest weeks. An online tutor for Jalgaon students can be added to a home plan whenever it helps. Frequently asked questions
Which parts of Jalgaon does this home tuition guide cover?
This guide covers twenty Jalgaon localities, grouped into five zones from the old peths to Mehrun. The zones are Navi Peth and the Old Peths, Ramanand Nagar and Ring Road, Pimprala and Khote Nagar, Mahabal and Yashwant Nagar, and Mehrun and Tambapura. Every locality name links to a page of its own with tutors for that area.
What landmark should we give a home tutor in Jalgaon?
Give a Jalgaon home tutor a landmark the whole city uses, such as Jalgaon Junction, the Shivaji Nagar bridge, the Pimprala flyover, Ring Road, Mahabal Road or Mehrun Lake. Then add the colony name, the lane and a shop or building near your door. In the larger areas, such as Pimprala and Ramanand Nagar, a map pin saves time.
Is home tuition harder to arrange in Pimprala and Khote Nagar?
Home tuition in Pimprala and Khote Nagar takes a little more planning, because the colonies are spread out and fewer tutors live inside each one. Give the exact colony and a map pin, and be open to an online class for one subject. Tutors from Dadawadi and Shiv Colony often cover these western colonies as well.
Can we find a Maharashtra State Board tutor in Marathi or semi-English medium?
Yes, a Maharashtra State Board tutor for Marathi, English or semi-English medium can be found once the medium is named in your request. NXTutors lists tutors who teach the State Board in that medium, closest to your colony first. Where none lives within reach, the shortlist includes online tutors who work from the same State Board textbooks.
What if no home tutor lives near our colony in Jalgaon?
When no home tutor lives near your Jalgaon colony, NXTutors looks further out in stages. It checks your zone, then the whole city, then online tutors elsewhere in India. A common answer is a home tutor close by for the subject that needs a table and an online specialist for another. Each tutor's first class is still free.
When do classes run most smoothly in Jalgaon's hot season?
Classes in Jalgaon's hot season, from March to mid-June, run most smoothly in the early morning or later evening. Raise the change with your tutor before March rather than in the middle of April, and agree whether some weeks move online. The season changes when lessons happen; it does not change the fee band.
