What home tuition costs in Nashik

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Example only, not a quote: one subject, one-hour classes, 4 weeks a month. Your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.
Classes a week Classes a month At ₹800 an hour At ₹2,500 an hour
2 8 ₹6,400 a month ₹20,000 a month
3 12 ₹9,600 a month ₹30,000 a month

Why one-to-one home tuition costs more than group coaching

In a coaching batch, one teacher's hour is shared by many students, so each family pays for a part of it. At home the whole hour is your child's: the pace, the questions and the homework check follow one student, and the tutor's travel to your home is part of the working day. A small group of two or three children from the same society usually costs less per child, with less individual attention.

Home tuition in Nashik: a family guide from Gangapur Road to Nashik Road

Nashik spreads out from the Godavari in several directions at once. Panchavati, the old settlement on the left bank, sits near the middle; Gangapur Road and College Road carry the apartment belt west; CIDCO's planned colonies and the Satpur and Ambad industrial estates fill the south-west; the Mumbai-Agra highway runs down through Mumbai Naka, Indira Nagar and Pathardi Phata; and far to the east, Nashik Road grew around its railway station before it joined the city in 1984. Children across these neighbourhoods write the Maharashtra State Board, CBSE, ICSE or ISC, and a smaller number follow IB or IGCSE, in Marathi or English medium. A good tutor for your family is one who can reach your side of the river at an hour your child is really free, and who knows the paper your child will sit.

How does matching work for a family in Nashik?

You send one request, and we do the sorting. Tell us your child's class and board, whether they study in Marathi or English, which subjects are causing trouble, the locality you live in with a landmark a stranger could find, the hours left after school and any classes your child already attends, and whether you want lessons at home, online or a mix. We come back with two or three tutors who fit. Each tutor's fee is visible to you before you meet them, and the first class with whichever tutor you pick is a free demo. For Nashik, we weigh four things in particular:

  • Which bank and which belt. Nashik Road sits a long way east of Gangapur Road, and CIDCO is a world away from Mhasrul for a tutor on a two-wheeler, so we start with tutors who already move around your part of the city.
  • Marathi or English medium. A State Board student who learns Science in Marathi and a CBSE student who learns it in English need tutors who use the same words the textbook does.
  • Flat, row house or plot. Along Gangapur Road and Indira Nagar most lessons happen in apartment buildings with a watchman; in Makhmalabad, Adgaon and the older lanes of Panchavati many families live in independent houses where the tutor comes straight to the door.
  • Shift times and rush hours. Around Satpur and Ambad, roads fill at shift change as well as in the evening, so we look for a tutor whose free hour avoids both.

Treat the demo as an ordinary lesson on whatever chapter school is covering that week. If the fit is wrong, we line up the next tutor from the shortlist, and changing tutor at any later point is also free.

Nashik in five zones

Tutors shown for Nashik come from our tutor profiles, and 18 Nashik localities have their own page. On each one, tutors who live in that locality appear first, followed by tutors willing to travel there, then the rest of its zone, then the wider city, and lastly online tutors. To plan home visits we split the city into five zones: Gangapur Road & College Road, Panchavati, Mhasrul & Adgaon, Nashik Road & Jail Road, Mumbai Naka to Pathardi Phata and CIDCO, Satpur & Ambad. The Nashik Municipal Corporation has six ward committees of its own, among them Nashik (West), Panchavati, Nashik Road, CIDCO and Satpur; our zones borrow some of those names but are planning groups for tutors' travel, not official boundaries.

Gangapur Road & College Road: the western apartment corridor

Gangapur Road is one of the main residential corridors of western Nashik and a major traffic artery in its own right. Most homes along it and in the lanes behind are flats in apartment buildings, many of them two- and three-bedroom units, with pockets such as Sharanpur, Thatte Nagar, Pandit Colony, Canada Corner and Dhruv Nagar alongside. College Road links Model Colony with the Canada Corner junction; shops and offices line the road itself, while its side lanes hold apartment buildings, row houses and bungalows. Further out, Anandwalli has seen a lot of new apartment building around the older core of Anandwalli Gaon, with homes from one-bedroom flats to larger family units.

Nashik (West) is one of the corporation's ward committees, and the corporation's headquarters is on Sharanpur Road, so this belt is easy to describe to anyone in the city. Canada Corner is a well-known reference point. The catch is the evening: Gangapur Road and the Canada Corner junction are at their slowest then, and parking near the busier stretches can be tight. Agree one fixed slot at the start, tell the tutor where to leave a two-wheeler, and send building, wing and floor before the first visit. The road takes its name from Gangapur, the area on the city's western side that it serves, and Gangapur Dam on the Godavari lies out beyond it.

Panchavati, Mhasrul & Adgaon: the old core and the growing north and east

Panchavati is an old part of Nashik, on the left bank of the Godavari and now in the central city; it is also one of the six ward committees. Independent houses are common in its older lanes, with row houses and newer apartment buildings mixed in, and Hirawadi, Takle Nagar and the Dindori Road side lie close by. Mhasrul, on Dindori Road to the north, has grown from Mhasrul Gaon into a sizeable area of apartment buildings, plots and houses. Makhmalabad, on the northern edge, is spreading over open land, with plots and independent houses making up much of it. Adgaon, on the eastern side, is an emerging suburb of apartments, builder floors, villas and many plots where families build their own homes.

This zone asks for the most care with directions. In Panchavati the streets near the markets and the river get crowded and some lanes are narrow, so a two-wheeler is the easy way in. In Makhmalabad and Adgaon, newer colonies may not be well known yet: share a map pin, the colony name and a nearby landmark before the demo. Dindori Road is busy in the morning and evening, so families in Mhasrul usually find that a mid-afternoon or early-evening slot, clear of both, runs most smoothly.

Nashik Road & Jail Road: the station side of the city

Nashik Road is a large suburb on the eastern side, merged into the municipal corporation in 1984 and now one of its ward committees. It is built around Nasik Road railway station, opened in 1862 on Central Railway's Bhusawal division, and its main roads include the Nashik-Pune Highway, Jail Road and the Bhagur-Nashik Road. Homes run from one- to four-bedroom flats to villas. Jail Road is a residential belt in the south-east with houses, apartment buildings and many co-operative housing societies, and markets within walking distance in much of it. Upnagar sits between Nashik Road and Jail Road, with both flats and houses, and Deolali Gaon is the old village area beside Nashik Road where new buildings of smaller flats keep appearing.

Deolali station also lies within city limits, and the Nashik Metropolitan Region Development Authority has its office in the Divisional Commissioner campus at Nashik Road. For tuition, the point is distance: this zone is far enough from the western suburbs that a tutor who already lives around the station or Jail Road is usually the one who lasts the year. Roads near the station and the highway are busiest in the morning and evening. In Deolali Gaon's older lanes, a map pin saves a lot of phone calls on the first visit.

Mumbai Naka to Pathardi Phata: the highway belt

Mumbai Naka is a well-known junction on the Mumbai-Agra National Highway, with the Old Agra Road also passing through and several bus stops, including the Mumbai Naka bus stand. Shops and offices mix with apartment buildings of two to four bedrooms, plus some villas and builder floors. Govind Nagar, next door, is an established area of flats and some villas, with the Govind Nagar Link Road running through it. Indira Nagar lies along the highway further south and is mostly apartment buildings, then independent houses, plots and a few villas. Pathardi Phata, also on the highway, has apartment buildings, independent houses and plots, with Pathardi Gaon and the Ambad industrial area close by.

The highway gives this belt its shape and its timing. Mumbai Naka and the Pathardi junction are among the busier points at morning and evening peaks, while the colonies set back from the road are much quieter. Parking can be short near Govind Nagar's shopping stretches and in Indira Nagar's busier lanes, so settle where the tutor will park. Mumbai Naka's central position means tutors can reach it by bus, auto or two-wheeler from most of the city, which widens the choice for families nearby. Nashik also connects to Mumbai by the Mumbai-Nashik Expressway.

CIDCO, Satpur & Ambad: the planned township and the industrial estates

CIDCO, officially New Nashik, is a planned township built by the City and Industrial Development Corporation, laid out with wide roads and parks and divided into many sectors and colonies, such as Morwadi, Ashwin Nagar, Abhiyanta Nagar and Jagtap Nagar. Satpur, in western Nashik, is known for its industrial estate, and residential colonies of apartment buildings, row houses and plots surround it, with the Trimbak Road corridor alongside. Ambad has one of the city's main MIDC industrial estates, with largely one- to three-bedroom flats in the colonies around it and new projects still coming up; the Ambad Link Road joins it to the CIDCO side.

CIDCO and Satpur are both ward committees, and the corporation has divisional offices for New Nashik and on Satpur Road. Many families here have a parent who works shifts, and the roads near the estates fill at shift change as well as in the evening, so pick a lesson time away from both. CIDCO's planned layout makes addresses easy once the tutor has the colony name, the building or house number and a landmark. Ask first for a tutor from CIDCO, Satpur or the next colony, and keep online lessons in mind for subjects where nobody suitable lives near.

Which boards do Nashik tutors teach?

In Nashik you will meet students of the Maharashtra State Board, CBSE, and CISCE's ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12), with a smaller group on the IB Diploma or Cambridge IGCSE. A Physics tutor who is excellent for one of these papers may still be a poor fit for another, which is why board, class and medium travel together in every request we handle.

Maharashtra State Board (SSC and HSC)

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is an autonomous body set up under Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965 and based in Pune. It began in January 1966 and took its present name in 1976. It conducts the SSC examination at Class 10 and the HSC examination at Class 12 through nine divisional boards, and one of them is the Nashik Divisional Board. The board holds examinations twice a year: a main examination and a supplementary one. Read timetables, patterns and results only on mahahsscboard.in, and see Maharashtra board tutors in Nashik.

CBSE

NCERT textbooks are the backbone of CBSE, and recent papers lean on applying a concept rather than reciting it. For a teenager eyeing JEE or NEET from Nashik, that overlap is useful. Where most students stumble is presentation: they know the method but lose marks by skipping steps in long answers.

ICSE and ISC

CISCE's syllabus is wide and its papers are long, with English literature texts that need real reading time. A useful tutor here works out a chapter-by-chapter calendar for the year, sets timed written answers often and keeps project deadlines from piling up in the final term.

IB and IGCSE

With fewer IB and IGCSE students in the city, the closest specialist may well be online. IB grades include coursework; tutors may coach a student through an Internal Assessment or Extended Essay, never author it. For IGCSE, past papers checked against the official mark scheme are the core routine.

What should a tutor focus on at each stage?

StageMain job of the tutorWatch for
Classes 1 to 5 Reading with understanding, number sense, handwriting that keeps up with thinking. Children who switch between Marathi at home and English at school benefit from short read-aloud practice every lesson.
Classes 6 to 8 Fractions, algebra basics and science vocabulary, built so they carry into Class 9. Before any entrance foundation course, confirm that school maths is understood, not memorised.
Classes 9 and 10 Keep pace with a much harder Maths and Science syllabus so the SSC or Class 10 board year stays calm. Outside classes often start in Class 9; the tutor should fill gaps, not repeat the batch.
Classes 11 and 12 One specialist per hard subject, especially Physics and Maths, where Class 11 gaps rarely close later. HSC Science, CBSE and ISC students all carry board and entrance syllabi in the same months.

For CBSE students in Classes 9 and 10, our Class 10 Maths preparation plan and Class 10 Science notes track the NCERT chapters; State Board students should keep to the board's own textbooks and notices. In the senior years, our Class 12 Physics strategies are useful whichever board your child writes.

Which subjects do Nashik families ask for?

The first requests from Nashik are usually for Maths, Science, Physics and Chemistry, most often from Class 8 or 9. Tutors on NXTutors also cover English, Marathi, Hindi, Sanskrit, Social Science, Biology, Computer Science, Accountancy, Economics and Statistics, and plenty of them handle every subject for younger children. Each core subject has a Nashik page of its own: maths home tutors, science tutors for Classes 6 to 10, physics tutors and chemistry tutors.

A few habits separate useful subject tutoring from busywork. Maths improves fastest when the tutor traces a mistake back to the class where the idea first wobbled. Physics sticks when a student can say why before writing the equation. Chemistry splits three ways: Physical needs drilled numericals, Organic needs mechanisms seen as patterns, and Inorganic needs patient reading of the textbook, which our Class 12 Organic and Inorganic Chemistry guide sets out. When a Marathi-medium student changes to English textbooks in Class 11, the tutor should pair each new term with its Marathi meaning for a few weeks and then let English take over; our spoken English guide for students fills the days between lessons.

Can a home tutor help with JEE, NEET or MHT-CET?

Yes, provided the tutor is there to support school and any entrance batch your child already attends rather than to duplicate it. Many State Board Science students in Maharashtra write MHT-CET, the entrance test conducted by the State CET Cell, as well as JEE Main or NEET UG, so the plan has to work for more than one paper at once. In Nashik, tutoring hours tend to pay off when they are used for:

  • A weekly doubt list. Your child brings every question from the week's tests and sheets that still feels shaky, and the list is cleared before new chapters arrive.
  • Joint revision. A single chapter plan covers the HSC or CBSE board paper and the entrance syllabus together, so nothing is revised twice for no reason.
  • The weakest subject first. Concentrated hours where marks are leaking do more than evenly spread ones.
  • A slot that survives the batch timetable. Early morning, late evening or a weekend block, fixed at the start.

JEE Main is run by NTA in two sessions during the first half of the year, and qualifying candidates may then sit JEE Advanced. NEET UG comes once a year, with half its marks from Biology, so the NCERT Biology books need reading line by line. MHT-CET's syllabus and dates should be taken only from the CET Cell's own notices. Hand a new tutor our topic plans for JEE Maths, JEE Physics and JEE Chemistry, plus our NCERT-first route through NEET Biology, so you both start from the same page.

Is home or online tuition better in Nashik?

Sitting side by side helps younger children, students who lose focus in front of a screen, and any subject where you want to watch the working line by line. Online sessions widen the pool to teachers anywhere in India, which counts most for IB, IGCSE, ISC electives and advanced entrance problems. In Nashik, geography usually settles it:

  • Distance between the ends. Gangapur Road in the west and Nashik Road in the east are at opposite ends of the city, so a family at one edge often pairs home visits with an online lesson.
  • Two-wheeler travel. Most tutors ride or use autos; a tutor from the next colony will keep turning up through the year more reliably than one from across the river.
  • Junction and shift-change hours. The highway junctions and the roads around Satpur and Ambad each have their own rush, so the lesson hour is worth as much thought as the tutor.
  • Heavy rain. During the monsoon, agree in advance that very wet days switch to a video lesson.

A common Nashik pattern is two or three home lessons a week with one short online review before a test, all with a single tutor. Compare options on online tutors for Nashik students, and read our home tutor or online tutor comparison for the pros and cons.

How much does a home tutor in Nashik charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Tutors on NXTutors set their own rates. A quote in Nashik usually moves with four things: how senior the class is, whether the target is the school paper or an entrance test, how far the tutor has to ride (a trip from CIDCO out to Nashik Road is a different commitment from a visit within your own zone), and how the weekly hours are split, since two longer sessions often achieve more than four rushed ones. Questions to ask every shortlisted tutor:

  • How long is one lesson, and is the time counted from arrival?
  • Are test papers, marking and doubt messages between lessons part of the fee?
  • What happens when a lesson is cancelled by either side?
  • Would an online lesson in a busy week be charged the same?

Put money where the trouble is: one strong tutor for the hardest subject usually beats thinner help across several. Every shortlisted tutor's fee is in front of you before the demo, and we keep to the fee limit you set. The pricing guide lays out fees by class and subject, and our post on home tuition fees in Nashik covers the questions local parents raise.

How do you judge the demo class?

The profile gets a tutor into the room; the free demo shows whether they belong there. During that first hour, notice whether the tutor:

  1. Asked before teaching about school, other classes and the next test date.
  2. Tested the ground with a few quick questions instead of opening the book at chapter one.
  3. Spoke your child's language, moving between Marathi and English in a way your child could follow.
  4. Knew the board, or pointed to its official material instead of guessing about this year's paper.
  5. Handed over the pen, so that your child solved problems rather than watched.
  6. Can hold the slot, reaching your home at that hour every week from where they live.

Before the demo, give the watchman the tutor's name along with your wing and flat number, or, for a house in a newer colony, send a map pin and a landmark. Lessons belong in a shared room with an adult at home. For more, see our demo class checklist for parents and the guide to choosing a board and stream.

When should tuition begin in the school year?

The CBSE session opens in April; State Board and CISCE schools issue their own calendars, so go by your child's school. For a board or entrance year, think of the months in five blocks:

  • April to June: fresh textbooks and the long summer holiday, the right time to mend weak foundations.
  • July to September: the monsoon term, with a fixed weekly rhythm and a video-lesson fallback for heavy-rain days.
  • October to November: mid-term exams and the autumn break; keep a lighter routine in the holiday and catch up around it.
  • December to February: close the syllabus, write complete papers and preliminary exams, and watch the board's notices for timetables.
  • March to May: SSC, HSC and other board papers, then entrance tests, each on the dates its official notice gives.

Because the State Board also runs a supplementary examination, a student who stumbles in one paper gets another attempt in the same year, and a tutor can build revision for it as soon as the board publishes the schedule. An April start gives the most room; a mid-year start still pays off, with more of the hours going to past papers.

How do you get started in Nashik?

Share your child's class, board, medium and subjects, your locality with a landmark, and the hours that work around school. You receive two or three tutor suggestions, choose one for the free demo, and make up your mind afterwards. Start from your locality in the list on this page, look through all tutors, or go straight to a free demo class. If no home tutor is close enough to your colony yet, an online tutor from another part of India can begin at once.

For a longer local read, our Nashik home tuition guide goes zone by zone, from Gangapur Road and Panchavati to Nashik Road, the highway belt and CIDCO.
