Not sure which tutor fits? Tell us the class, board and your sector: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.
| Classes a week | Classes a month | At ₹800 an hour | At ₹2,500 an hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 8 | ₹6,400 a month | ₹20,000 a month |
| 3 | 12 | ₹9,600 a month | ₹30,000 a month |
In a coaching batch, one teacher's hour is shared by many students, so each family pays for a part of it. At home the whole hour is your child's: the pace, the questions and the homework check follow one student, and the tutor's travel to your home is part of the working day. A small group of two or three children from the same society usually costs less per child, with less individual attention.

Nanded is built on both banks of the Godavari. Old Nanded holds the north bank, with Vazirabad and Shivaji Nagar at its centre; New Nanded spreads across the south bank and takes in Waghala, whose name the city shares in the title of its civic body, the Nanded-Waghala City Municipal Corporation. Between them, a parent here can find children on the Maharashtra State Board in Marathi, English, Urdu or semi-English medium, others in CBSE or ICSE schools, and senior students who are weighing the HSC against an entrance test. This guide is for the family that has decided some help outside school would be useful and now has to choose what kind.
Most families who look for outside help begin by asking about coaching classes in Nanded. For a Class 11 or 12 science student that usually means a coaching batch built around an entrance test; for a younger child, a tuition class near home where one teacher takes a group after school. Either can suit the right child. A batch keeps a fixed timetable, moves at the group's pace and shares one teacher's hour among many students, so each family pays less for it. Children who keep up easily, speak up when lost and like company while they study often thrive there.
A personal tutor solves a different problem. The hour belongs to one child, so the tutor can halt at the exact line where a sum breaks, go back to a fraction or a grammar rule that never settled, or spend a lesson rewriting answers until they read like a board paper. Lessons happen at home or on a screen, at an hour that suits you, and a parent can watch the teaching first-hand. That attention has a price: one-to-one teaching generally costs more per hour than a shared class, and home lessons rely on a tutor who can reach you week after week.
Three questions usually settle it:
To be clear about our role: NXTutors does not run coaching batches or tuition classes in Nanded, and has no centre of its own. We pair a child with one tutor who teaches that child alone, at home or online. Many families combine the two, keeping a class for entrance practice and adding a tutor for school chapters and doubts. The free demo shows whether one-to-one teaching makes a difference for your child.
You send one request. In it, give your child's class, the board and the medium of instruction, the subjects that are hard right now, the colony you live in with a landmark a stranger can spot, and the hours that are genuinely free after school and any class. Say whether you want lessons at home, online or both, and mention a monthly budget if you have one. Back come two or three matched tutors. You can read every tutor's fee ahead of any meeting, your chosen tutor's opening lesson is a free demo, and should your needs shift later, a switch of tutor costs nothing. In Nanded, four details shape a shortlist more than anything else:
Ask for the demo to cover whatever chapter the class is on this week, so you see normal teaching. If it is not a good fit, say so and we line up another of the shortlisted tutors.
Nanded shortlists are drawn from the tutor profiles on NXTutors, and 16 Nanded localities each get a dedicated page. On every such page the tutor list runs in one fixed order: residents of the locality, tutors with students there already, the wider zone, the whole city, and finally online tutors. To plan home visits we split the city into four zones: Vazirabad and Shivaji Nagar, Anand Nagar and Vasant Nagar, Taroda and North-West Nanded, and New Nanded and Waghala. The first three lie on the north bank and the fourth on the south bank. We drew these lines ourselves, by looking at which colonies border which, purely to plan travel; they do not follow civic ward boundaries.
Vazirabad is the busy middle of the city, with shops, offices and flats on the same blocks along Vazirabad Road and the Hazur Sahib Nanded railway station close by. That station sits on the Secunderabad–Manmad line in the Nanded division of South Central Railway, and Maltekdi is a second station serving the city. Shivaji Nagar, which has its own sub post office, is mostly family homes on residential lanes near the old centre. Hyder Bagh, also spelt Haider Bagh, lies on the eastern side of central Nanded, with homes set close along its lanes.
Because the centre is compact, a tutor living here can often teach two or three children in one evening. Vazirabad Road fills with shoppers from late afternoon, so many families settle on a slot that starts before the evening rush. If your flat is above a shopfront, give the building, the floor and the shop name below. In Hyder Bagh, write both spellings in your message, and add the lane and a corner shop. This zone also has the widest mix of school mediums in the city, so put the medium in the first line of your request.
Anand Nagar, Harsh Nagar and Vasant Nagar are residential colonies in the east-central part of Old Nanded, sharing their edges and lying north of the Hingoli Gate junction, which has a bus stop of the same name. Apartment buildings stand among older family homes, Harsh Nagar being the newer pocket of the three. The airport on Sangvi Road lies further out on the north-eastern side.
The three colonies are close enough that one tutor can usually serve all of them, which makes this zone easier than most for a regular weekday slot. Requests here run from primary children who need reading and number work to Class 10 SSC students and HSC science students who also have MHT-CET, JEE Main or NEET in mind. For a senior student, name the entrance test in the request, so the tutor can plan board and entrance work together. In a building, give the wing and flat number, and name the nearest of the three colonies as a reference.
Taroda has two parts that locals name separately, Taroda Bk and Taroda Kh. Chaitanya Nagar is a colony close to Taroda and Canal Road, and both Chaitanya Nagar and Taroda Road have sub post offices that people use as reference points. Ashtvinayak Nagar is a newer colony at the northern edge. Canal Road runs across the north of the city, with shops on the road and quieter lanes behind. Out on the north-western fringe, the Pawadewadi road leads to Pawdewadi and Wadi Bk, short for Wadi Budruk, where new houses have spread beside older village homes.
This side of Nanded has grown quickly, and fewer tutors may live in the outer colonies than in the centre. Many families here pair a visiting tutor for one or two subjects with an online specialist for a third. Always say Taroda Bk or Taroda Kh, never Taroda alone. On Canal Road, give the colony and which side of the road you are on, because the road is long. In Pawdewadi and Wadi Bk, send a map pin, and consider two weekday lessons with one longer weekend session, which suits a tutor travelling out from the centre.
Waghala, Kautha, Vishnupuri and Dhanegaon lie in New Nanded, the larger of the city's two parts by area. Apartment projects and new colonies have spread across this side, and many families moved here from Old Nanded or from other towns. Kautha is often split in local speech into old Kautha and Navin Kautha. Vishnupuri, on the Nanded to Latur highway, has grown from a village into a suburb on the south-western side, and Dhanegaon is a former village where homes are now spreading. Nanded Fort, also called Nandgiri, stands on the Godavari, which surrounds it on three sides.
A tutor coming from Old Nanded has the river to cross, so we look first for tutors who already live or teach on the south bank. Write "New Nanded, south of the river" in the request, so anyone from the other side can plan the route. Families who are new to the city sometimes have a child changing board or state; share the old syllabus and the new school's board with the tutor at the start. New colonies can be hard to find on phone maps, so in Vishnupuri and Dhanegaon give a landmark on the main road along with a pin.
Nanded students follow the Maharashtra State Board, CBSE or ICSE, and a few learn on an international programme, usually online. We ask about the board and the medium before suggesting anyone, since a tutor who teaches one paper with ease may never have prepared a student for another.
| Board | What the student faces | Worth asking the tutor |
|---|---|---|
| Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) | SSC at the end of Class 10, HSC at the end of Class 12. Nanded is one of the districts of the board's Latur division, together with Latur and Dharashiv. | Which of the present state textbooks have you used, and in which medium: Marathi, English, Urdu or semi-English? |
| CBSE | NCERT textbooks as the base, with sample papers and marking schemes released by the board for its Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. | How often will my child write a full answer and have it marked the way the scheme marks it? |
| ICSE and ISC, set by CISCE | ICSE at Class 10 and ISC at Class 12: a broad spread of papers, lengthy written answers, set texts in English and projects across the year. | What is your plan for keeping the literature texts and projects moving term by term? |
| International: IB Diploma, Cambridge IGCSE | IB adds the Internal Assessment and the Extended Essay to its final papers; IGCSE revision runs on past papers and their mark schemes. | Where is the line between your guidance and my child's own coursework? |
For the State Board, read timetables, patterns and circulars on mahahsscboard.in, and use the Latur divisional board's section of the same site for notices that concern your district, rather than a message forwarded in a family group. CBSE publishes its academic material on cbseacademic.nic.in and CISCE on cisce.org. Our pages on Maharashtra Board tutors in Nanded, CBSE home tutors in Nanded and ICSE home tutors in Nanded go into each board in more depth.
Early help is about habits rather than marks: reading a page aloud each day, tables known without counting on fingers, and neat, complete homework. For a six- or seven-year-old, three brief sessions in a week usually do more than a single long one. Where the family speaks Marathi, Urdu or Hindi at home and the school teaches in English, a tutor who says a new word in the home language first and then has the child use it in English takes a lot of fear out of the subject.
The middle years are where small gaps grow. A child who never quite understood fractions or negative numbers meets algebra in Class 7 and 8 and starts to fall behind without knowing why. A good tutor tests a few earlier problems first and rebuilds from where the child stops. In the SSC year itself, working full papers against the clock counts as much as finishing the syllabus. Two NCERT-based posts are useful whatever the board: a plan for Class 10 maths and our Class 10 science chapter notes.
The step from SSC to HSC Science, Commerce or Arts is steep, and the pace of junior college leaves little time to recover from a slow start. One specialist for each subject that worries the student usually beats one tutor for everything. Science students can lean on two of our posts in this phase: ways to approach Class 12 physics and calculus and algebra for Class 12.
From Class 6 upward, requests lean towards maths and science. Still, the tutors you can find through NXTutors cover English, Marathi, Hindi, Social Science, Computer Science and HSC Commerce subjects like accounts and economics, and a primary child can often have every subject handled by one person. Six subjects have a Nanded page each: maths tutors, science tutors, physics tutors, chemistry tutors, biology tutors and English tutors.
Language is the quiet issue in many Nanded homes. Marathi is the language most people speak, with Urdu and Hindi also widely used, and schools teach in more than one medium. A child can grasp an idea and still lose marks because a textbook term was never made clear in the language of the exam. Ask the tutor how they handle this: a short list of key terms for each chapter, checked every week, works well. Semi-English students in particular need a tutor comfortable explaining maths and science in English while checking that the Marathi subjects are not slipping. In maths, look for someone who hunts for the first wrong step. In chemistry, nobody should let organic reactions race ahead while physical chemistry numericals are forgotten; our post on organic and inorganic chemistry in Class 12 sets out a balanced routine. A child newly in English medium gains from talking in English a little every day, and there are practice ideas for the gaps between lessons in our spoken English post.
Senior science students in Nanded usually have three entrance tests in view alongside the HSC. Maharashtra's State Common Entrance Test Cell holds MHT-CET for admission to professional courses in the state. The National Testing Agency holds both JEE Main and NEET (UG); JEE Advanced, open to those who clear JEE Main, has its own organisers. A tutor earns their place when the job is defined:
Exam patterns and dates change, so check them each year on the official sites, which are cetcell.mahacet.org (MHT-CET), nta.ac.in (JEE Main, NEET UG) and jeeadv.ac.in (JEE Advanced). For more, see JEE tutors in Nanded and NEET tutors in Nanded, and our topic plans for JEE Maths and the NCERT-first approach to NEET Biology. A tutor worth keeping talks about a weekly plan for your child, not about ranks.
The answer changes with the child, the subject and the address. Young children, roughly up to Class 5, usually do better with someone beside them, as do students who lose focus in front of a screen and anyone whose written working needs watching line by line. Going online widens the search to the whole country, which matters for IB, IGCSE, a rare ISC elective or high-level problem solving. A few points are particular to Nanded:
An online lesson needs a quiet spot, a connection that holds, a notebook kept only for that subject and the camera switched on, and it helps if a parent stays in the room for the opening weeks. A pattern that suits many homes is a couple of visits each week and a brief video session the night before a test, with one tutor doing both. More on this in online tuition for Nanded students and our home tutor versus online tutor post.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
The fee is the tutor's decision, not ours, and it is on your screen for every shortlisted tutor ahead of the demo. To compare fairly, put the same four questions to each of them:
Put the money where the worry is greatest. A strong tutor in the one subject that is slipping usually achieves more than four tutors paid thinly. Share a budget and we keep the shortlist within it. The pricing guide breaks costs down by class, and our post on home tuition fees in Nanded adds the local picture.
Profiles narrow the list, but watching someone teach for an hour settles the question. Sit close enough to hear, or talk to your child once the tutor leaves, and think back over these:
Small arrangements help as well. Message the colony, lane, building or house number and a map pin the night before, and mention which bank of the Godavari you are on. Hold lessons in a common room with an adult in the house, and settle household rules at the first visit. There is a fuller list in our demo class checklist for parents.
There is no wrong month to start, though the work changes with the season:
State Board, CBSE and CISCE calendars do not line up exactly, so take examination dates only from each board's official notices, and for the State Board that means mahahsscboard.in. Starting late still helps a student who needs one subject brought back on track.
First, send us the class, board, medium and subjects, plus your colony, a landmark, the side of the river and your free hours. Second, compare the two or three tutors we put forward, with their fees, and pick one for the free demo. Third, make up your mind once that lesson is over. If you would rather look around first, open your locality's page below, read through tutor profiles, or go ahead and book a free demo class. Where no home tutor is close enough yet, online lessons can begin meanwhile.
For colony-by-colony advice, our Nanded home tuition guide walks through all four zones, from Vazirabad on the north bank to Vishnupuri in the south-west.
Elsewhere in Maharashtra we also cover Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Solapur, Amravati, Jalgaon, Nagpur, Pune and Mumbai; the full list is on the page that lists every city we cover.
If you teach and live in Nanded, tuition jobs in Nanded shows which colonies have families looking for a tutor.
Tutors set their own fees, by class, subject and experience. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. You see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
No. NXTutors has no coaching classes, batches or centre in Nanded. We match your child with one tutor for one-to-one lessons at your home or online, on the Maharashtra State Board, CBSE or ICSE. You get two or three matched tutors, see each fee before a free demo class, and switching tutor later is free.
Neither is better for every child; it depends on what your child needs. A tuition class teaches a group at a set pace for a lower share of the cost, while a home tutor works on your child's own gaps, in Marathi, English or semi-English as needed. Many families try one-to-one teaching first through the free demo class.
Tutors currently cover 16 areas of Nanded, including Anand Nagar, Ashtvinayak Nagar, Canal Road, Chaitanya Nagar, Dhanegaon. Each area page lists the tutors nearest to it.
CBSE, ICSE and ISC, IB and IGCSE for Classes 6 to 12, plus JEE and NEET preparation, at home or online.
Yes. The first session is a free demo class, so you can judge the tutor's teaching style before deciding. If the fit is not right, we suggest another tutor.
