Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Chemistry has a way of piling up. A Standard XI or XII student in Nanded can attend every lecture, copy every reaction and still feel unready, because the notes have never been turned into exam answers. The junior college moves at one speed, an MHT-CET, NEET or JEE Main course at another, and nobody checks whether this week's ideas have actually stuck. A home chemistry tutor fills that gap with one calm hour: test what was learnt, repair what was not, and write it the way the paper wants. Give us the board, the target exam and the neighbourhood, and we come back with two or three chemistry tutors and their fees. Whoever you pick teaches a free demo first.
A Nanded student may face a board paper and one or two entrance tests in the same season. The chapters overlap; what earns marks does not.
| Paper | How chemistry appears | Habit it rewards |
|---|---|---|
| HSC Chemistry, subject 55 | Two years of theory plus a practical, on the State Board's published scheme | Textbook-based written answers in the language of the paper |
| CBSE Chemistry (043), Class 12 | A 70-mark written paper where all 33 questions are attempted, plus a 30-mark practical | Clear reasons, equations that balance, tidy working |
| NEET (UG), as set in 2026 | One question in four of the 180, so 180 of the 720 marks | Quick recall of NCERT wording |
| JEE Main, 2026 Paper 1 | Twenty-five items; five want a number, not an option | Reaction mechanisms and long physical-chemistry problems |
| MHT-CET | Set by the State CET Cell | Check the pattern on cetcell.mahacet.org itself |
Both NTA tests in 2026 used the same marking: plus four when right, minus one when wrong. Patterns are reissued every year, so plan from the current bulletin. Chapter priorities for medical aspirants are on the NEET chemistry tutor page, and our NEET home tutor in Nanded page brings in physics and biology.
The State Board lists Chemistry as HSC subject 55. Nanded students usually take it in a junior college, and MHT-CET is often part of the plan. Many studied science in Marathi, Urdu or a semi-English class up to Standard X, then meet chemistry's long names in English. Three questions sort out most tutors quickly:
HSC chemistry marks are not copied here; the board publishes its current scheme on mahahsscboard.in. Our Maharashtra Board home tutor in Nanded page covers the board's other subjects.
CBSE puts a number on every chapter, and the 2026-27 numbers are the same as last session's. Grouped by branch, they tell a tutor where the hours should go:
| Branch (total) | Chapter marks | Weekly focus |
|---|---|---|
| Organic (33) | Aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids 8 · Biomolecules 7 · Haloalkanes and haloarenes 6 · Alcohols, phenols and ethers 6 · Amines 6 | Conversion chains and distinguishing tests |
| Physical (23) | Electrochemistry 9 · Solutions 7 · Chemical kinetics 7 | Numericals with units written throughout |
| Inorganic (14) | d- and f-block elements 7 · Coordination compounds 7 | Trends with a reason each; IUPAC names and isomers |
Five lettered sections make up the paper, with internal choice in a few questions. No calculator and no log table are allowed. A little under half the marks go to remembering and understanding; the remainder test application, analysis and evaluation. For chapter-by-chapter notes, see our guide to organic and inorganic chemistry in Class 12; the Class 12 chemistry tutor page sets out a board-year plan.
Not safely. For 2026-27, CBSE has removed the solid state and the p-block Groups 15 to 18 from the course, and it marks four further topics only in school: polymers, surface chemistry, chemistry in everyday life, and the isolation of elements. The board paper will not ask about them. NEET and JEE follow NTA's own syllabus, though, and topics such as the later p-block groups can still turn up there. Revise for the board from the board's list, and read the official entrance syllabus before anything is struck off.
Follow the college or coaching chapter, one step behind, instead of teaching ahead. In a typical hour:
For inorganic chemistry, brisk oral questions built from NCERT sentences, each followed by "why?", work well; medical entrance papers often lean on the textbook's precise phrasing.
In CBSE the practical carries 30 marks: 8 for volumetric analysis, 8 for salt analysis, 6 for a content-based experiment, 4 for the project, and 4 shared by the record and viva. The titration this year is potassium permanganate against either oxalic acid or Mohr's salt, and students make up their own standard solution. HSC students follow the board's practical and journal scheme.
At the table at home a tutor can practise the calculation for a weighed sample, the layout of a burette-reading table, the sequence from preliminary to confirmatory tests in salt analysis, a realistic project topic, and viva answers, for instance why permanganate shows its own end point.
A weekly evening lesson holds only if the tutor finds the house easily and the hour does not move. Tutors for every area are listed on our Nanded page.
In the weeks before pre-boards, shifting one visit a week online protects revision when evenings fill up. Local detail is on the Vazirabad and Shivaji Nagar and Taroda and North-West Nanded zone pages.
It is usually the right moment. Moles, equilibrium and the opening organic chapters are the tools used again in Standard XII solutions, electrochemistry and every organic conversion. A student who rushes them in Standard XI pays for it in the board year and in entrance papers. A term of steady foundation work costs less time than patching later. See the Class 11 chemistry tutor page, and the national chemistry home tutor page for other cities.
Fewer Nanded tutors teach these courses, so name yours in the first message. A common answer is an online specialist for content and a nearby tutor to mark written practice.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors decide their own fees. Ask each one which paper they have taught most recently, how they would balance board and entrance work, and whether a heavy week could move online. You will see every fee before the demo; the Nanded home tuition fees guide has further questions.
Include the class, board and target exam; which branch, organic, physical or inorganic, costs the most marks; college and coaching days; the locality with a landmark; and the evenings that are free. We send two or three chemistry tutors with fees, and you invite one for the free demo. Not the right fit? A different shortlisted tutor gives the next demo, and a later switch is free. If no suitable tutor can travel to you, online or part-online lessons fill the gap. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). In Nanded, see also the physics and biology pages; elsewhere in Maharashtra, try chemistry tuition in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar or our Solapur hub.

HSC Chemistry is subject code 55 on the Maharashtra State Board's HSC subject list, alongside Physics 54 and Biology 56. Nanded students usually study it at a junior college over Standards XI and XII. The current marks scheme is published on mahahsscboard.in, so read it there rather than in old guides.
Organic chemistry carries the most, 33 of the 70 theory marks in 2026-27, followed by physical with 23 and inorganic with 14. Electrochemistry is the largest single chapter at 9 marks. Nanded students on CBSE should practise organic conversions every week and keep units on every line of physical numericals.
NEET aspirants in Nanded should not skip them without checking NTA's own syllabus first. CBSE has removed the solid state and p-block Groups 15 to 18 for 2026-27, but an entrance syllabus can still include such topics. Revise for the board from the board's list and for NEET from the official bulletin.
A chemistry tutor can explain each idea in Urdu, Marathi or Hindi first, then make the student write compound names and reasons in English. Short daily practice with the new terms helps them settle. Mention the earlier medium in your request so we suggest a tutor comfortable in both languages.
A home tutor can rehearse the molarity calculation, the burette-reading table, the order of salt analysis tests, the project and likely viva questions. In CBSE these support 30 practical marks, including 8 each for volumetric and salt analysis. HSC students should follow the State Board's own practical and journal scheme.
Standard XI chemistry supplies the tools that Standard XII keeps using, such as moles, equilibrium and the first organic chapters. A weak start shows up later in solutions, electrochemistry and conversions. A term of steady foundation work in Standard XI usually saves time in the board year and before entrance tests.
Tutors for IB, ISC and IGCSE chemistry are fewer in Nanded than State Board tutors, so name the course in your first message. Many families combine an online specialist for the syllabus with a local tutor who marks written work. The IB investigation must remain the student's own work throughout.
An Anand Nagar family should give the building, wing and flat number, and name any entrance test the student is preparing for. In Shivaji Nagar, write the name with Nanded, then add the lane and a nearby chowk, because colonies with the same name exist in many cities.
